1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Moreover, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3 I also will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. 4 And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from that man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and put him not to death: 5 then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people. 6 And the soul that turneth unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto the wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. 7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God. 8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you. 9 For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall surely be put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him. 10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. 11 And the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 12 And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them. 13 And if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 14 And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you. 15 And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast. 16 And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 17 And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people: he hath uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity. 18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath made naked her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people. 19 And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister, nor of thy father’s sister: for he hath made naked his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity. 20 And if a man shall lie with his uncle’s wife, he hath uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless. 21 And if a man shall take his brother’s wife, it is impurity: he hath uncovered his brother’s nakedness; they shall be childless. 22 Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, vomit you not out. 23 And ye shall not walk in the customs of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. 24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from the peoples. 25 Ye shall therefore separate between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any thing wherewith the ground teemeth, which I have separated from you as unclean. 26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that ye should be mine. 27 A man also or a woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

1 O Senhor disse a Moisés:

2 — Diga também aos filhos de Israel: Qualquer dos filhos de Israel, ou dos estrangeiros que peregrinam em Israel, que entregar um de seus filhos a Moloque será morto; o povo da terra o apedrejará. 3 Voltarei o meu rosto contra esse homem e o eliminarei do meio do seu povo, porque entregou um de seus filhos a Moloque, contaminando, assim, o meu santuário e profanando o meu santo nome. 4 Se o povo da terra fechar os olhos para o que esse homem fez, ao entregar um de seus filhos a Moloque, e não o matar, 5 então eu voltarei o meu rosto contra esse homem e contra a sua família e o eliminarei do meio do seu povo, com todos os que o seguem e se prostituem com Moloque.

6 — Quando alguém se virar para os necromantes e feiticeiros, para se prostituir com eles, eu voltarei o meu rosto contra ele e o eliminarei do meio do seu povo. 7 Portanto, santifiquem-se e sejam santos, pois eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês. 8 Guardem os meus estatutos e tratem de cumpri-los. Eu sou o Senhor, que os santifico.

9 — Se um homem amaldiçoar o seu pai ou a sua mãe, será morto. Amaldiçoou o seu pai ou a sua mãe; é responsável pela própria morte.

10 — Se um homem adulterar com a mulher do seu próximo, será morto o adúltero e a adúltera. 11 O homem que tiver relações com a mulher de seu pai terá envergonhado o seu pai; tanto aquele homem quanto a mulher serão mortos; o seu sangue cairá sobre eles. 12 Se um homem tiver relações com a nora, ambos serão mortos; fizeram confusão; o seu sangue cairá sobre eles. 13 Se também um homem tiver relações com outro homem, como se fosse mulher, ambos praticaram coisa abominável; serão mortos; o seu sangue cairá sobre eles. 14 Se um homem tiver relações com uma mulher e com a mãe dela, isso é algo vergonhoso; queimarão tanto ele quanto elas, para que não haja maldade no meio de vocês. 15 Se também um homem tiver relações com um animal, será morto; matem também o animal. 16 Se uma mulher se aproximar de algum animal e tiver relações com ele, matem tanto a mulher como o animal; o seu sangue cairá sobre eles.

17 — Se um homem casar com a sua irmã, filha de seu pai ou filha de sua mãe, e se ele tiver relações com ela e ela tiver relações com ele, será uma indecência; portanto, serão eliminados na presença dos filhos do seu povo; ele envergonhou a sua irmã; levará sobre si a sua iniquidade. 18 Se um homem se deitar com uma mulher no período da menstruação dela e tiver relações com ela, descobrindo a sua fonte, e ela descobrir a fonte do seu sangue, ambos serão eliminados do meio do seu povo. 19 Também não tenha relações com a irmã de sua mãe ou a irmã de seu pai, porque significa ter relações com uma parenta; levarão sobre si a sua iniquidade. 20 Se um homem tiver relações com a tia, envergonhou o seu tio; levarão seu pecado sobre si; morrerão sem filhos. 21 Se um homem tomar a mulher de seu irmão, isso é impureza; envergonhou o seu irmão; ficarão sem filhos.

22 — Guardem, portanto, todos os meus estatutos e cumpram todos os meus juízos, para que a terra para a qual eu os estou levando, para nela habitar, não os vomite de lá. 23 Não andem nos costumes dos povos que eu vou expulsar de diante de vocês, porque fizeram todas estas coisas; por isso, me aborreci deles. 24 Mas a vocês eu já disse que herdarão a terra deles; eu a darei a vocês em herança, terra que mana leite e mel. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês, que os separei dos outros povos.

25 — Portanto, façam distinção entre os animais puros e os impuros e entre as aves impuras e as puras; não se façam abomináveis por causa dos animais, ou das aves, ou de tudo o que se arrasta sobre a terra, os quais separei de vocês, para que as considerem impuras. 26 Sejam santos para mim, porque eu, o Senhor, sou santo e os separei dos outros povos, para que sejam meus.

27 — O homem ou a mulher que for necromante ou feiticeiro será morto; será apedrejado; o seu sangue cairá sobre ele.
