Provérbios 18

1 သူ​တစ်​ပါး​များ​နှင့် မ​ရော​နှော​သော​သူ​သည် မိ​မိ​စေ​တ​နာ​အ​လို​ရှိ​သည်​အ​တိုင်း ရှာ​ဖွေ၍၊ ပ​ညာ​ရ​တ​နာ​အ​မျိုး​မျိုး​ကို စူး​စမ်း​မွှေ​နှောက်​တတ်၏။ 2 မိုက်​သော​သူ​မူ​ကား၊ မိ​မိ​စိတ်​သ​ဘော​ကို ပြ​စ​ရာ​အ​ခွင့်​မှ​တစ်​ပါး၊ အ​ခြား​သော​အ​ကြောင်း​ကြောင့် ဉာဏ်​ပ​ညာ၌ မ​ပျော်​မွေ့​တတ်။ 3 မ​တ​ရား​သော​သူ​လာ​သော​အ​ခါ၊ မ​ထီ​မဲ့​မြင်​ပြု​ခြင်း​ကို​ခံ​ရ၏။ ဂုဏ်​အ​သ​ရေ​ပျက်​သော​အ​ခါ၊ ကဲ့​ရဲ့​ခြင်း​ကို​လည်း ခံ​ရ၏။ 4 နှုတ်​ထွက်​သော​စ​ကား​သည် နက်​သော​ရေ​ကဲ့​သို့​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ ပ​ညာ​စမ်း​ရေ​တွင်း​သည် ရေ​စီး​သော မြစ်​ကဲ့​သို့​လည်း​ကောင်း​ဖြစ်၏။ 5 တ​ရား​တွေ့​ရာ​အ​မှု၌ ဖြောင့်​မတ်​သော​သူ​ကို ရှုံး​စေ​ခြင်း​ငှာ၊ မ​တ​ရား​သော​သူ၏​မျက်​နှာ​ကို မ​ထောက်​ကောင်း။ 6 မိုက်​သော​သူ၏ နှုတ်​ခမ်း​တို့​သည် ရန်​တွေ့​တတ်၏။ သူ၏​နှုတ်​သည်​လည်း အ​ပြစ်​ဒဏ်​ကို တောင်း​တတ်၏။ 7 မိုက်​သော​သူ၏​နှုတ်​သည် ပျက်​စီး​ရာ​အ​ကြောင်း၊ နှုတ်​ခမ်း​တို့​သည်​လည်း မိ​မိ​အ​သက်​ကို ကျော့​မိ​ရာ​အ​ကြောင်း​ဖြစ်၏။ 8 ကုန်း​တိုက်​သော​သူ၏​စ​ကား​သည် မြိန်​သော ခဲ​ဖွယ်​စား​ဖွယ်​ကဲ့​သို့​ဖြစ်၍၊ ဝမ်း​အ​တွင်း​သို့ ဝင်​တတ်၏။ 9 အ​လုပ်​လုပ်​သော​အ​ခါ ပျင်း​ရိ​သော​သူ​သည်၊ မိ​မိ​ဥ​စ္စာ​ကို အ​ချည်း​နှီး​ကုန်​စေ​သော​သူ​နှင့် ညီ​အစ်​ကို​တော်​ပေ၏။ 10 ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား၏​နာ​မ​တော်​သည် ခိုင်​ခံ့​သော​ရဲ​တိုက်​ဖြစ်၍၊ ဖြောင့်​မတ်​သော​သူ​တို့​သည် ပြေး​ဝင်​သ​ဖြင့်၊ လုံ​ခြုံ​စွာ​နေ​ရ​ကြ၏။ 11 ငွေ​ရ​တတ်​သော​သူ​က၊ ငါ့​စည်း​စိမ်​သည် ခိုင်​ခံ့​သော​မြို့ ဖြစ်၏။ မြင့်​သော​မြို့​ရိုး​နှင့် တူ​သည်​ဟု ထင်​တတ်၏။ 12 ပျက်​စီး​ခြင်း​အ​ရင်၌ လူ​သည် စိတ်​မြင့်​ခြင်း၏​နေ​ရာ၊ ဂုဏ်​အ​သ​ရေ​အ​ရင်၌ နှိမ့်​ချ​ခြင်း၏​နေ​ရာ​ရှိ၏။ 13 အ​ကျိုး​အ​ကြောင်း​ကို မ​စစ်​မီ၊ အ​မှု​စီ​ရင်​သော​သူ​သည် မိုက်​သော​အ​ပြစ်၊ အ​ရှက်​ကွဲ​ရ​သော​အ​ပြစ်​ရှိ၏။

14 လူ၏​စိတ်​ဝိ​ညာဉ်​သည် မိ​မိ​နာ​ခြင်း​ဝေ​ဒ​နာ​ကို ခံ​နိုင်၏။ ကြေ​ကွဲ​သော​စိတ်​ကို​ကား၊ အ​ဘယ်​သူ သည်း​ခံ​နိုင်​သ​နည်း။ 15 သ​မ္မာ​သ​တိ​ရှိ​သော​သူ၏ စိတ်​နှ​လုံး​သည် ပ​ညာ​အ​တတ်​ကို သို​ထား​တတ်၏။ ပ​ညာ​ရှိ​သော​သူ၏​နား​သည်​လည်း၊ ပ​ညာ​စ​ကား​ကို​ရှာ​တတ်၏။ 16 လူ၌​ပါ​သော လက်​ဆောင်​အား​ဖြင့်၊ လမ်း​ရှင်း​လင်း၍၊ လူ​ကြီး​ထံ​သို့ ဝင်​ရ​သော​အ​ခွင့် ရှိ​တတ်၏။ 17 ကိုယ်​အ​မှု​ကို အ​ဦး​စောင့်၍ ပြော​သော​သူ​သည် ဖြောင့်​မတ်​ရာ​သို့ ရောက်​သော်​လည်း၊ အိမ်​နီး​ချင်း​လာ၍ စစ်​ကြော​တတ်၏။ 18 စာ​ရေး​တံ​ပြု​ခြင်း​အား​ဖြင့် အ​ငြင်း​အ​ခုံ​ငြိမ်း၍၊ အား​ကြီး​သော​သူ​တို့​အ​မှု​ကို ဆုံး​ဖြတ်​တတ်၏။ 19 အ​ငြိုး​ထား​သော ညီ​အစ်​ကို​သည် ခိုင်​ခံ့​သော​မြို့​ထက် သာ၍​ခက်၏။ ညီ​အစ်​ကို ရန်​တွေ့​ခြင်း​အ​မှု​သည် ရဲ​တိုက်​တံ​ခါး​ကျင်​ကဲ့​သို့ ဖြစ်၏။ 20 လူ​သည် မိ​မိ​နှုတ်၏​အ​သီး​နှင့် ဝမ်း​ပြည့်​ရ၏။ မိ​မိ​နှုတ်​ခမ်း​တို့၏​စီး​ပွား​နှင့် ဝ​ရ၏။ 21 လျှာ​သည် အ​သက်​သေ​ခြင်း​နှင့် ရှင်​ခြင်း​ကို​အ​စိုး​ရ၏။ လျှာ​ကို​နှစ်​သက်​သော​သူ​သည်​လည်း၊ လျှာ၏​အ​သီး​ကို စား​ရ၏။ 22 မ​ယား​ကို​ရ​သော​သူ​သည် ကောင်း​သော​အ​ရာ​ကို​ရ၍၊ ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား၏​ကျေး​ဇူး​တော်​ကို ခံ​ရ၏။ 23 ဆင်း​ရဲ​သော​သူ​သည် တောင်း​ပန်​တတ်၏။ ငွေ​ရ​တတ်​သော​သူ​မူ​ကား၊ ကြမ်း​တမ်း​စွာ ပြန်​ပြော​တတ်၏။ 24 အ​ပေါင်း​အ​ဖော်​များ​သော​သူ​သည် အ​ကျိုး​နည်း​ရှိ​တတ်၏။ မိတ်​ဆွေ​မူ​ကား၊ ညီ​အစ်​ကို​စွဲ​ကပ်​သည်​ထက် သာ၍ စွဲ​ကပ်​တတ်၏။

1 He that separateth himself seeketh his own desire,

And rageth against all sound wisdom.

2 A fool hath no delight in understanding,

But only that his heart may reveal itself.

3 When the wicked cometh, there cometh also contempt,

And with ignominy cometh reproach.

4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters;

The wellspring of wisdom is as a flowing brook.

5 To respect the person of the wicked is not good,

Nor to turn aside the righteous in judgment.

6 A fool’s lips enter into contention,

And his mouth calleth for stripes.

7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction,

And his lips are the snare of his soul.

8 The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels,

And they go down into the innermost parts.

9 He also that is slack in his work

Is brother to him that is a destroyer.

10 The name of Jehovah is a strong tower;

The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,

And as a high wall in his own imagination.

12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty;

And before honor goeth humility.

13 He that giveth answer before he heareth,

It is folly and shame unto him.

14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity;

But a broken spirit who can bear?

15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge;

And the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.

16 A man’s gift maketh room for him,

And bringeth him before great men.

17 He that pleadeth his cause first seemeth just;

But his neighbor cometh and searcheth him out.

18 The lot causeth contentions to cease,

And parteth between the mighty.

19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city;

And such contentions are like the bars of a castle.

20 A man’s belly shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth;

With the increase of his lips shall he be satisfied.

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue;

And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing,

And obtaineth favor of Jehovah.

23 The poor useth entreaties;

But the rich answereth roughly.

24 He that maketh many friends doeth it to his own destruction;

But there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
