Provérbios 26

1 နွေ​ကာ​လ၌ မိုး​ပွင့်​ကဲ့​သို့​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ စ​ပါး​ရိတ်​ရာ​ကာ​လ၌ မိုး​ရေ​ကဲ့​သို့​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ မိုက်​သော​သူ​သည် ဂုဏ်​အ​သ​ရေ​ကို မ​ခံ​သင့်။ 2 စာ​ငှက်​သည် အ​ရပ်​ရပ်​လှည့်​လည်၍၊ ဇ​ရက်​သည်​လည်း ပျံ​သွား​သ​ကဲ့​သို့၊ ထို​နည်း​တူ အ​ကြောင်း​မ​ရှိ​သော ကျိန်​ဆဲ​ခြင်း​သည် မ​သင့်​မ​ရောက်​တတ်။ 3 မြင်း​ဖို့​နှင်​တံ၊ မြည်း​ဖို့​ဇက်​ကြိုး၊ မိုက်​သော​သူ၏​ကျော​ဖို့ ကြိမ်​လုံး​သည် သင့်​ပေ၏။ 4 မိုက်​သော​သူ၏​သ​ဘော​သို့​လိုက်၍၊ သူ၏​စ​ကား​ကို မ​ချေ​နှင့်။ ထို​သို့​ချေ​လျှင် သူ​နှင့်​တူ​လိမ့်​မည်။ 5 မိုက်​သော​သူ၏​သ​ဘော​သို့​လိုက်၍ သူ၏​စ​ကား​ကို ချေ​လော့။ သို့​မ​ဟုတ်၊ သူ​သည် ဝါ​ကြွား​သော​စိတ် ရှိ​လိမ့်​မည်။ 6 မိုက်​သော​သူ​တွင် မှာ​လိုက်​သော​သူ​သည် ကိုယ်​ခြေ​ကို​ဖြတ်၍ အ​ကျိုး​နည်း​ရှိ၏။ 7 သု​တ္တံ​စ​ကား​ကို မိုက်​သော​သူ ပြော​ခြင်း​သည် ခြေ​ဆွံ့​သော​သူ၏ ခြေ​ကြွ​ခြင်း​ကဲ့​သို့ ဖြစ်၏။ 8 မိုက်​သော​သူ​ကို ချီး​မြှောက်​ခြင်း​သည် ကျောက်​ပုံ၌ ကျောက်​မြတ်​ကို ပစ်​ထား​ခြင်း​ကဲ့​သို့ ဖြစ်၏။ 9 ဆူး​သည် ယစ်​မူး​သော​သူ၏ လက်​ကို​စူး​သ​ကဲ့​သို့၊ သု​တ္တံ​စ​ကား​သည် မိုက်​သော​သူ၏​နှုတ်၌​ရှိ၏။ 10 ကြီး​သော​သူ​သည် ခပ်​သိမ်း​သော​သူ​တို့​ကို တုန်​လှုပ်​စေ​တတ်၏။ မိုက်​သော​သူ​နှင့် ပြစ်​မှား​တတ်​သော​သူ​တို့​ကို စေ​သုံး​တတ်၏။ 11 ခွေး​သည် မိ​မိ​အန်​ဖတ်​ကို ပြန်၍​စား​တတ်​သ​ကဲ့​သို့၊ မိုက်​သော​သူ​သည် မိုက်​သော​အ​ကျင့်​ကို ပြန်၍ ကျင့်​တတ်၏။*၂​ပေ၊ ၂း၂၂။12 ငါ​သည် ပ​ညာ​ရှိ၏​ဟု​ထင်​သော​သူ​ရှိ​လျှင်၊ ထို​သူ၌ မျှော်​လင့်​စ​ရာ အ​ခွင့်​ရှိ​သည်​ထက်၊ မိုက်​သော​သူ၌ သာ၍ မျှော်​လင့်​စ​ရာ​အ​ခွင့်​ရှိ၏။ 13 ပျင်း​ရိ​သော​သူ​က၊ အိမ်​ပြင်​မှာ ခြင်္သေ့​ရှိ၏။ လမ်း​တို့၌ ခြင်္သေ့​ရှိ၏​ဟု ဆို​တတ်၏။ 14 တံ​ခါး​ရွက်​သည် စ​ရွေး၌​လည်​သ​ကဲ့​သို့ ပျင်း​ရိ​သော​သူ​သည် အိပ်​ရာ​ပေါ်​မှာ လည်​တတ်၏။ 15 ပျင်း​ရိ​သော​သူ​သည် မိ​မိ​လက်​ကို အိုး၌​သွင်း​သော်​လည်း၊ တစ်​ဖန်​နုတ်၍ မိ​မိ​ပါး​စပ်​သို့ ခွံ့​ရ​လျှင် စိတ်​ညစ်​တတ်၏။ 16 ပျင်း​ရိ​သော​သူ​က၊ ငါ​သည် အ​ကျိုး​အ​ကြောင်း​ကို ပြ​တတ်​သော​သူ ခု​နစ်​ယောက်​ထက်​သာ၍ ပ​ညာ​ရှိ​သည်​ဟု ကိုယ်​ကို​ထင်​တတ်၏။

17 လမ်း၌​လျှောက်​သွား၍ မိ​မိ​မ​ဆိုင်​သော​အ​မှု​ကို ရော​နှော​သော​သူ​သည် ခွေး​နား​ရွက်​ကို ကိုင်​ဆွဲ​သော​သူ​နှင့် တူ၏။ 18 ငါ​ကျီ​စား​ရုံ​မျှ​သာ ပြု​သည်​ဟု​ဆို​လျက်၊ 19 မိ​မိ​အိမ်​နီး​ချင်း​ကို လှည့်​စား​သော​သူ​သည် မီး​စ၊ မြား၊ သေ​ဘေး​ကို ပစ်​တတ်​သော​အ​ရူး​နှင့်​တူ၏။ 20 ထင်း​မ​ရှိ​လျှင် မီး​သေ​တတ်​သ​ကဲ့​သို့ ကုန်း​တိုက်​သော​သူ​မ​ရှိ​လျှင် ရန်​ငြိမ်း​တတ်၏။ 21 မီး​ခဲ​ချင်း ပြု​သ​ကဲ့​သို့​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ ထင်း​သည် မီး​ကို မွေး​သ​ကဲ့​သို့​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ ရန်​တွေ့​တတ်​သော​သူ​သည် ခိုက်​ရန်​မှု​ကို ပြု​စု​တတ်၏။ 22 ကုန်း​တိုက်​သော​သူ၏​စ​ကား​သည် မြိန်​သော ခဲ​ဖွယ်​စား​ဖွယ်​ကဲ့​သို့ ဖြစ်၍၊ ဝမ်း​အ​တွင်း​သို့ ဝင်​တတ်၏။ 23 ချစ်​အား​ကြီး​သော​နှုတ်​နှင့်၊ ဆိုး​ညစ်​သော​စိတ်​နှ​လုံး​သည် ချော်​မွမ်း​မံ​သော အိုး​ခြမ်း​နှင့်​တူ၏။ 24 အ​ငြိုး​ထား​သော​သူ​သည် နှုတ်​ဖြင့်​လျှို့​ဝှက်၍၊ ကိုယ်​ထဲ​မှာ လှည့်​စား​သော​သ​ဘော​ကို ဝှက်​ထား​တတ်၏။ 25 ထို​သို့​သော​သူ၏ စ​ကား​သည် ချို​သော်​လည်း မ​ယုံ​နှင့်။ သူ၏​စိတ်​နှ​လုံး​ထဲ​မှာ စက်​ဆုပ်​ရွံ​ရှာ​ဖွယ်​သော အ​ရာ​ခု​နစ်​ပါး​ရှိ၏။ 26 အ​ငြိုး​ထား​ခြင်း​ကို လှည့်​စား​ခြင်း​အား​ဖြင့် ဝှက်​ထား​သော​သူ၏​ဒု​စ​ရိုက်​အ​ပြစ်​သည် ပ​ရိ​သတ်​ရှေ့​မှာ ထင်​ရှား​လိမ့်​မည်။ 27 တွင်း​တူး​သော​သူ​သည် မိ​မိ​တွင်း​ထဲ​သို့​ကျ​လိမ့်​မည်။ ကျောက်​ကို လှိမ့်​သော​သူ​အ​ပေါ်​သို့ ထို​ကျောက်​သည် ပြန်၍​လိမ့်​လိမ့်​မည်။ 28 မု​သား​ပြော​တတ်​သော​သူ​သည် မိ​မိ​ညှဉ်း​ဆဲ​သော​သူ​တို့​ကို မုန်း​တတ်၏။ ချော့​မော့​တတ်​သော​သူ​သည်​လည်း ဖျက်​ဆီး​တတ်၏။

1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest,

So honor is not seemly for a fool.

2 As the sparrow in her wandering, as the swallow in her flying,

So the curse that is causeless alighteth not.

3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass,

And a rod for the back of fools.

4 Answer not a fool according to his folly,

Lest thou also be like unto him.

5 Answer a fool according to his folly,

Lest he be wise in his own conceit.

6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool

Cutteth off his own feet, and drinketh in damage.

7 The legs of the lame hang loose;

So is a parable in the mouth of fools.

8 As one that bindeth a stone in a sling,

So is he that giveth honor to a fool.

9 As a thorn that goeth up into the hand of a drunkard,

So is a parable in the mouth of fools.

10 As an archer that woundeth all,

So is he that hireth a fool and he that hireth them that pass by.

11 As a dog that returneth to his vomit,

So is a fool that repeateth his folly.

12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit?

There is more hope of a fool than of him.

13 The sluggard saith, There is a lion in the way;

A lion is in the streets.

14 As the door turneth upon its hinges,

So doth the sluggard upon his bed.

15 The sluggard burieth his hand in the dish;

It wearieth him to bring it again to his mouth.

16 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit

Than seven men that can render a reason.

17 He that passeth by, and vexeth himself with strife belonging not to him,

Is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.

18 As a madman who casteth firebrands,

Arrows, and death,

19 So is the man that deceiveth his neighbor,

And saith, Am not I in sport?

20 For lack of wood the fire goeth out;

And where there is no whisperer, contention ceaseth.

21 As coals are to hot embers, and wood to fire,

So is a contentious man to inflame strife.

22 The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels,

And they go down into the innermost parts.

23 Fervent lips and a wicked heart

Are like an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross.

24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips;

But he layeth up deceit within him:

25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not;

For there are seven abominations in his heart:

26 Though his hatred cover itself with guile,

His wickedness shall be openly showed before the assembly.

27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein;

And he that rolleth a stone, it shall return upon him.

28 A lying tongue hateth those whom it hath wounded;

And a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
