1 In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.

2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

5 Wee my dat ek as vreemdeling vertoef in Meseg, dat ek by die tente van Kedar woon!

6 Te lank al woon my siel by die wat die vrede haat.

7 Ek is vredeliewend; maar as ek spreek, is hulle op oorlog uit.
