1 Il fit aussi un autel d'airain de vingt coudées de long, de vingt coudées de large, et de dix coudées de haut.

2 Et il fit une mer de fonte, de dix coudées depuis un bord jusqu'à l'autre, ronde tout autour, et haute de cinq coudées, et un filet de trente coudées l'environnait tout autour.

3 Et au dessous il y avait des figures de bœufs qui environnaient la mer tout autour, dix à chaque coudée ; il y avait deux rangs de ces bœufs, qui avaient été jetés en fonte avec elle.

4 Elle était posée sur douze bœufs, trois desquels regardaient le Septentrion, trois l'Occident, trois le Midi, et trois l'Orient; et la Mer était sur leurs dos, et tous leurs derrières [étaient tournés] en dedans.

5 Et son épaisseur était d'une paume, et son bord était comme le bord d'une coupe à façon de fleurs de lis; elle contenait trois mille Baths.

6 Il fit aussi dix cuviers, et en mit cinq à droite, et cinq à gauche, pour s'en servir à laver; on y lavait ce qui appartenait aux holocaustes; mais la mer servait pour laver les Sacrificateurs.

7 Il fit aussi dix chandeliers d'or selon la forme qu'ils devaient avoir; il les mit au Temple, cinq à droite, et cinq à gauche.

8 Il fit aussi dix tables; et les mit au Temple, cinq à droite, et cinq à gauche; et il fit cent bassins d'or.

9 Il fit aussi le parvis des Sacrificateurs, et le grand parvis, et les portes pour les parvis, lesquelles il couvrit d'airain.

10 Et il mit la mer à côté droit, tirant vers l'Orient, du côté du Midi.

11 Hiram fit aussi des chaudières, et des racloirs, et des bassins, et acheva de faire tout l'ouvrage qu'il fit au Roi Salomon pour le Temple de Dieu;

12 [Savoir] deux colonnes, et les pommeaux, et les deux chapiteaux qui [étaient] sur le sommet des colonnes, et les deux rets pour couvrir les pommeaux des chapiteaux qui étaient sur le sommet des colonnes.

13 Et les quatre cents pommes de grenade pour les deux rets; deux rangs de pommes de grenade pour chaque rets, afin de couvrir les deux pommeaux des chapiteaux qui étaient au dessus des colonnes.

14 Il fit aussi les soubassements, et des cuviers pour les mettre sur les soubassements;

15 Une mer, et douze bœufs sous elle.

16 Et Hiram son père fit au Roi Salomon, pour l'usage du temple, des chaudières d'airain poli, des racloirs, des fourchettes, et tous les ustensiles qui en dépendaient.

17 Le Roi les fondit dans la plaine du Jourdain, en terre grasse, entre Succoth et [le chemin qui tend] vers Tséréda.

18 Et le Roi fit tous ces ustensiles-là en si grand nombre, que le poids de l'airain ne fut point recherché.

19 Salomon fit aussi tous les ustensiles nécessaires pour le Temple de Dieu, [savoir] l'autel d'or, et les Tables sur lesquelles on mettait les pains de proposition;

20 Et les chandeliers avec leurs lampes de fin or, pour les allumer devant l'Oracle, selon la coutume;

21 Et des fleurs, et des lampes, et des mouchettes d'or, qui étaient un or exquis;

22 Et les serpes, les bassins, les coupes, et les encensoirs de fin or. Et quant à l'entrée de la maison, les portes de dedans, [c'est-à-dire], du lieu Très-saint, et les portes de la maison, [c'est-à-dire], du Temple, étaient d'or.

1 Moreover he made an altar of bronze, twenty cubits its length, and twenty cubits its breadth, and ten cubits its height.

2 Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in shape, and five cubits its height; and a line of thirty cubits did measure its circumference.

3 And under it was the likeness of oxen, which did circle it round about: ten to a cubit, circling the sea round about. Two rows of oxen were cast, when it was cast.

4 It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set upon them, and all their hind parts were inward.

5 And the thickness of it was a handbreadth, and the brim of it like the work of the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily; and it received and held three thousand baths.

6 He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

7 And he made ten lampstands of gold according to their design, and set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.

8 He made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made a hundred basins of gold.

9 Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with bronze.

10 And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, toward the south.

11 And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God;

12 The two pillars, and the bowls, and the capitals which were on the top of the two pillars, and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals which were on the top of the pillars;

13 And four hundred pomegranates on the two networks; two rows of pomegranates on each net, to cover the two bowls of the capitals which were upon the pillars.

14 He made also stands, and lavers made he upon the stands;

15 One sea, and twelve oxen under it.

16 The pots also, and the shovels, and the forks, and all their articles, did Huram his father make for king Solomon for the house of the LORD of bright bronze.

17 In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredath.

18 Thus Solomon made all these articles in great abundance: for the weight of the bronze could not be measured.

19 And Solomon made all the articles that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables on which the showbread was set;

20 Moreover the lampstands with their lamps, that they should burn in the prescribed manner before the inner sanctuary, of pure gold;

21 And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, the purest gold;

22 And the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entrance of the house, the inner doors for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.
