Cânticos 2

ASV

Te Wahine

1 He puāwai ahau Harono,

he rengarenga ngā awaawa.

Te Tāne

2 He rengarenga i roto i ngā tātarāmoa,

ko tāku e aroha nei i waenga i ngā tamāhine.

Te Wahine

3 Kei te āporo i roto i ngā rākau o te ngahere

te rite o tāku kaingākau i roto i ngā taitamariki.

Āhuareka ana tāku noho iho i raro i tōna taumarumarutanga,

ā, he reka āna hua ki tōku ngao.

4 I kawea ahau e ia ki te whare hākari,

ā, ko tōna kara i runga i ahau he aroha.

5 Whakakahangia ake ahau ki te karepe whakamaroke,

whakahauorangia ahau ki te āporo;

e mate ana hoki ahau i te aroha.

6 Kei raro i tōku māhunga tōna mauī,

e awhi ana tōna matau i ahau.

7 He tēnei nāku ki a koutou, e ngā tamāhine o Hiruhārama,

i te aroaro anō o ngā anaterope, o ngā hāta o te pārae:

kaua e whakaohokia, kaua e whakaarahia tāku e aroha nei,

ā kia pai anō ia.

Kua Pahemo te Hōtoke

Te Wahine

8 Ko te reo o tāku e aroha nei!

Nanā, te haere mai nei ia,

e tūpekepeke ana i runga i ngā maunga,

e mokowhiti ana i runga i ngā pukepuke.

9 Rite tonu tāku e aroha nei ki te anaterope,

ki te kūao hāta rānei.

Tēnei ia te mai nei

i muri o mātou taiepa,

e mātakitaki mai ana i ngā matapihi,

e whakaata mai ana roto i te mea rīpekapeka.

10 I kōrero mai tāku e aroha nei, i mea mai ki ahau:

"E ara, e tāku ipo, e tāku mea ātaahua,

ka haere mai.

11 Nanā, kua pahemo te hōtoke,

kua mutu te ua, kua kore.

12 Kua puta ngā puāwai ki te whenua;

kua tata te e korihi ai ngā manu,

ā, e rangona ana te reo o te kūkupa

ki tātou whenua.

13 Kua kōpuku ngā hua hou o te piki,

kua puaka ngā wāina, e kakara mai nei.

Maranga, e tōku hoa, e tāku mea ātaahua,

haere mai hoki."

Te Tāne

14 E tāku kūkupa i roto i ngā kapiti o te kāmaka,

i te wāhi ngaro o te pikitanga,

kia kite ahau i tōu āhua, kia rongo ahau i tōu reo;

he reka hoki tōu reo, he ātaahua tōu mata.

15 Hopukia mai tāua ngā pokiha,

ngā pokiha ririki

e takakino nei i ā tāua māra wāina;

kua puāwai hoki ā tāua wāina.

Te Wahine

16 Nāku tāku kaingākau, nāna hoki ahau;

kei waenga ia i ngā rengarenga e whāngai ana i tāna kāhui.

17 I te mea kīanō i mātao te ,

ā, kīanō i rere noa ngā ātārangi,

tahuri mai, e tāku e aroha nei,

kia rite koe ki te anaterope,

ki te kūao hāta,

i ngā maunga o Pētere.

1 I am a rose of Sharon,

A lily of the valleys.

2 As a lily among thorns,

So is my love among the daughters.

3 As the apple-tree among the trees of the wood,

So is my beloved among the sons.

I sat down under his shadow with great delight,

And his fruit was sweet to my taste.

4 He brought me to the banqueting-house,

And his banner over me was love.

5 Stay ye me with raisins, refresh me with apples;

For I am sick from love.

6 His left hand is under my head,

And his right hand doth embrace me.

7 I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem,

By the roes, or by the hinds of the field,

That ye stir not up, nor awake my love,

Until he please.

8 The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh,

Leaping upon the mountains,

Skipping upon the hills.

9 My beloved is like a roe or a young hart:

Behold, he standeth behind our wall;

He looketh in at the windows;

He glanceth through the lattice.

10 My beloved spake, and said unto me,

Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

11 For, lo, the winter is past;

The rain is over and gone;

12 The flowers appear on the earth;

The time of the singing of birds is come,

And the voice of the turtle-dove is heard in our land;

13 The fig-tree ripeneth her green figs,

And the vines are in blossom;

They give forth their fragrance.

Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

14 O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock,

In the covert of the steep place,

Let me see thy countenance,

Let me hear thy voice;

For sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.

15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes,

That spoil the vineyards;

For our vineyards are in blossom.

16 My beloved is mine, and I am his:

He feedeth his flock among the lilies.

17 Until the day be cool, and the shadows flee away,

Turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart

Upon the mountains of Bether.
