1 Meus irmãos, se alguém vier a cometer pecado, aqueles de entre vocês que possuem uma mente espiritual procurem encaminhá-lo com bondade; e sem qualquer sentimento de superioridade, pois cada um de nós está sujeito a ser tentado.
2 Partilhem uns com os outros o peso das vossas dificuldades, e assim cumprirão o mandamento de Cristo.
3 Se alguém se julga importante demais para ajudar a levar os fardos dos outros, está a iludir-se a si próprio.
4 Que cada um verifique a sua própria conduta; e se houver razão para estar satisfeito, guarde esse sentimento para si, sem se comparar com os outros.
5 Cada um terá de suportar as suas próprias responsabilidades.
6 Aqueles que recebem instrução sobre a palavra de Deus devem repartir os seus recursos com os que os instruem.
7 Não se iludam: Deus não se deixa enganar - toda a gente virá a ceifar aquilo que tiver semeado. Os que semeiam actos que resultam só de desejos e ambições humanas, virão a ceifar a corrupção. Mas os que semeiam coisas do domínio do Espírito, receberão do Espírito a vida eterna.
9 Não nos cansemos então de fazer o bem, porque a seu tempo viremos a recolher muitas bênçãos, se formos perseverantes.
10 E assim, sempre que tenhamos oportunidade, pratiquemos o bem para com todos, mas primeiramente para com os que têm a mesma fé que nós.
11 Estas palavras, agora, sou eu próprio que as escrevo, com estas grandes letras.
12 Repito: esses que querem obrigar-vos a cumprir a circuncisão, fazem-no só por uma razão. Eles não querem ser perseguidos por ensinarem que só a cruz de Cristo pode salvar.
13 Pois a verdade é que nem esses que se circuncidam conseguem guardar a lei. Eles pretendem marcar-vos, no vosso corpo, com um sinal de que são discípulos deles.
14 Mas quanto a mim, bem longe esteja a ideia de ter satisfação noutra coisa que não seja a cruz do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, pela qual eu morri para o mundo e o mundo deixou de ter um valor absoluto para mim.
15 Em Cristo, mais uma vez o digo, de nada interessa estar circuncidado ou não: o que conta é ser-se uma nova criatura
16 A todos os que andarem segundo esta regra de vida, que Deus lhes conceda a sua paz, e o seu amor, a esses que são no fundo o verdadeiro povo de Deus.
17 Peço-vos então que, daqui para o futuro, eu não tenha mais que me incomodar com dificuldades semelhantes a estas. Lembrem-se de que trago no meu corpo as marcas daquilo que tenho sofrido pela causa de Jesus.
18 Que nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo esteja sempre no vosso espírito com o seu amor. Este é o meu voto.
1 Brethren! if a man should even be overtaken in any fault, ye, the spiritual, be restoring such a one, in a spirit of meekness, looking to thyself, lest, even thou, be put to the test.
2 One anothers burdens, be ye bearing, and, so, fill up the law of the Christ.
3 For, if any one thinketh he is something, when he is, nothing, he deceiveth himself;
4 But, his own work, let each one be putting to the proof, and, then, for himself alone, the matter of boasting, shall he have, and not for some other,
5 For, each one, his own proper load, shall bear:
6 Howbeit, let him who is being orally instructed in the word, have fellowship with him that is so instructing him, in all good things.
7 Be not deceiving yourselves! God, is not to be mocked; for, whatsoever a man soweth, the same, shall he also reap,
8 Because, he that soweth into his own flesh, out of the flesh, shall reap corruption, whereas, he that soweth into the Spirit, out of the Spirit, shall reap age-abiding life.
9 And, in doing that which is honourable, let us not be fainthearted; for, in due season, we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 Hence, then, as we have opportunity, let us be working what is good, towards all,but, especially, towards the family of the faith.
11 See! with what large letters, unto you, I have written, with my own hand:
12 As many as are wishing to make a good show in flesh, the same, are compelling you to get circumcised,only that, for the cross of Christ Jesus , they may not be suffering persecution!
13 For, not even they who are getting circumcised, are, themselves, observing law,but are wishing you to be circumcised, that, in your flesh, they may boast themselves.
14 With me, however, far be it! to be boasting, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,whereby, unto me, a world hath been crucified, and, I, unto a world;
15 For neither circumcision is anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation;
16 And, as many as, by this rule, shall walk, peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
17 For the rest, annoyances, unto me, let no one be offering; for, I, the brandmarks of Jesus, in my body, am bearing.
18 The favour of our Lord Jesus Christ, be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.
