1 E falou mais o Senhor a Moisés o seguinte:2 Se alguém pecar contra o Senhor, recusando devolver o depósito referente a qualquer coisa que emprestou ou que alugou, ou recusando devolver aquilo que lhe foi emprestado ou alugado, ou então roubado o seu próximo, ou que tenha encontrado qualquer coisa e depois minta, jurando que nunca viu coisa nenhuma, na altura em que for declarado culpado destes pecados deverá restituir o que subtraiu, acrescido de vinte por cento sobre o valor em questão, entregando-o a quem defraudou; e na mesma ocasião trará a sua oferta de culpa ao tabernáculo. Esta oferta deverá ser um carneiro, sem defeito físico, e há-de ter o valor daquilo que tu estimares. Tem de trazê-lo ao sacerdote; este fará expiação por ele perante o Senhor e será perdoado.8 O Senhor disse assim a Moisés:9 Dá a Arão e aos seus filhos o seguinte regulamento respeitante aos holocaustos: A oferta queimada será deixada sobre o altar toda a noite, mantendo o fogo do altar aceso. Na manhã seguinte o sacerdote deverá vestir a roupa interior própria, de linho, assim como o vestuário litúrgico, tirar as cinzas depois do fogo ter consumido o holocausto, pondo-as junto do altar. Depois mudará de roupa e levará as cinzas para fora do acampamento para um lugar considerado ritualmente limpo. Entretanto, o fogo no altar deve ser mantido aceso; não deverão deixar apagar-se. O sacerdote porá nova lenha em cada manhã, e deixará ali a oferta queimada diária, queimando a gordura da oferta diária de paz. O fogo deve ser mantido aceso no altar continuamente. Nunca deixarão apagar-se.14 Este é o regulamento respeitante à oferta de cereais. Os filhos de Arão ficarão de pé diante do altar, para a oferecer perante o Senhor.15 O sacerdote tomará então uma mão-cheia dessa farinha moída muito fino, amassada com o seu azeite e todo o incenso, e queimará sobre o altar uma porção simbólica, para o Senhor, o qual terá nisso grande prazer. Depois de ter retirado essa mão-cheia, o resto da farinha pertence a Arão e aos filhos como alimento, e deverá ser comida, sem fermento, no pátio do tabernáculo. Insiste nesta indicação: de que se for cozido, deverá sê-lo sem fermento. Portanto destinei aos sacerdotes esta parte das ofertas queimadas que me são feitas. Contudo toda ela é coisa santíssima, tal como acontece com a totalidade da oferta pelo pecado e a oferta de culpa. Poderá ser comida por qualquer sacerdote, descendente masculino de Arão. Mas unicamente os sacerdotes poderão comer destas ofertas feitas pelo fogo ao Senhor.19 E Jeová disse a Moisés: No dia em que Arão e os seus filhos forem investidos como sacerdotes, hão-de trazer ao Senhor uma oferta de cereais - três litros de fina farinha, metade dela a ser ofertada na manhã e a outra metade na tarde. Deverá ser frita numa frigideira, usando azeite; deverá ficar muito bem frita e depois trazida ao Senhor como oferta que muito lhe agradará. Sempre que os filhos dos sacerdotes vierem a substituir seus pais, ao serem investidos nas suas funções sacerdotais, deverão oferecer este mesmo sacrifício no dia da sua unção. Isto é uma lei válida para sempre. Estas ofertas deverão ser queimadas inteiramente perante o Senhor; não se comerá nada delas.24 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés:25 Dá a Arão e aos seus filhos as seguintes instruções respeitantes à oferta de pecado: Este sacrifício é coisa santíssima, e o animal deverá ser morto perante o Senhor no sítio onde as ofertas queimadas são mortas. O sacerdote que realiza a cerimónia deve comê-lo no pátio do tabernáculo. Apenas os que são santificados - os sacerdotes - podem tocar nesse alimento; e se alguma parte desse sangue cair sobre a roupa de alguém, essa deverá ser lavada no lugar santo. O recipiente de barro em que a carne for cozida tem de ser quebrada; e se se tratar de um recipiente de bronze, deve ser esfregado e lavado com água.29 Todo o homem dentre os sacerdotes, e somente estes, podem comer esta oferta, porque é coisa santíssima. Nenhuma oferta de expiação de pecado, contudo, poderá ser comida pelos sacerdotes, se algum do seu sangue for trazido para o tabernáculo para se fazer resgate no lugar santo. Essa carcaça do animal deve ser inteiramente queimada com fogo diante do Senhor.

1 \6:8\And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2 \6:9\Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt-offering: It is the burnt-offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night until the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.3 \6:10\And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt-offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.4 \6:11\And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without the camp to a clean place.5 \6:12\And the fire upon the altar shall be burning on it; it shall not be extinguished: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt-offering in order upon it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace-offerings.6 \6:13\The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.7 \6:14\And this is the law of the meat-offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar.8 \6:15\And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat-offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meat-offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savor, even the memorial of it, to the LORD.9 \6:16\And the remainder of it shall Aaron and his sons eat: with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.10 \6:17\It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it to them for their portion of my offerings made by fire; It is most holy, as is the sin-offering, and as the trespass-offering.11 \6:18\All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.12 \6:19\And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,13 \6:20\This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer to the LORD in the day when he is anointed; the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meat-offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half of it at night.14 \6:21\In a pan it shall be made with oil; and when it is baked, thou shalt bring it in: and the baked pieces of the meat-offering shalt thou offer for a sweet savor to the LORD.15 \6:22\And the priest of his sons that is anointed in his stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever to the LORD; it shall be wholly burnt.16 \6:23\For every meat-offering for the priest shall be wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten.17 \6:24\And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,18 \6:25\Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin-offering: In the place where the burnt-offering is killed shall the sin-offering be killed before the LORD: it is most holy.19 \6:26\The priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.20 \6:27\Whatever shall touch the flesh of it shall be holy: and when there is sprinkled of its blood upon any garment, thou shalt wash that on which it was sprinkled in the holy place.21 \6:28\But the earthen vessel in which it is boiled shall be broken: and if it shall be boiled in a brazen pot, it shall be both scoured, and rinsed in water.22 \6:29\All the males among the priests shall eat of it: it is most holy.23 \6:30\And no sin-offering, of which any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to make reconciliation in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.
