Denn er sprach: Mein Weib soll nicht im Hause Davids, des Königs Israels, wohnen; denn heilig ist die Stätte, weil die Lade des HERRN hineingekommen ist! 12 Von da an opferte Salomo dem HERRN Brandopfer auf dem Altar des HERRN, den er vor der Halle gebaut hatte, 13 was an jedem Tag zu opfern war nach dem Gesetze Moses, an den Sabbaten und Neumonden und an den Festzeiten, dreimal im Jahre, nämlich am Fest der ungesäuerten Brote, am Fest der Wochen und am Laubhüttenfest. 14 Und er bestellte die Abteilungen der Priester, wie sein Vater David sie geordnet hatte, zu ihrem Amt, und die Leviten zu ihren Posten, um zu loben und zu dienen vor den Priestern, wie es ein jeder Tag erforderte; und die Torhüter nach ihren Abteilungen zu einem jeden Tor; denn also hatte es David, der Mann Gottes, befohlen. 15 Und sie wichen nicht vom Gebot des Königs betreffs der Priester und Leviten, in keinem Wort, auch hinsichtlich der Schätze nicht. 16 Also kam das ganze Werk Salomos zustande, von dem Tage an, als das Haus des HERRN gegründet ward, bis zu seiner Vollendung; er machte das Haus des HERRN fertig. 17 Damals ging Salomo nach Ezjon-Geber und Elot, das am Gestade des Meeres liegt, im Lande Edom. 18 Und Huram sandte ihm Schiffe durch seine Knechte, die des Meeres kundig waren; die fuhren mit den Knechten Salomos nach Ophir und holten von dort 450 Talente Gold und brachten es dem König Salomo.
