Sela.5 Full av ljus och härlighet går du fram ifrån segerbytenas berg.6 De stormodiga äro avväpnade, de hava slumrat in och sova; alla stridsmännen hava måst låta händerna falla.7 För din näpst, du Jakobs Gud, ligga domnade både man och häst.8 Du, du är fruktansvärd; vem kan bestå inför dig, när du vredgas?9 Från himmelen lät du höra din dom; då förskräcktes jorden och vart stilla,10 då när Gud stod upp till dom, till att frälsa alla ödmjuka på jorden. Sela.11 Ty människors vrede varder dig till pris; du har vrede till övers att omgjorda dit med.12 Gören löften och infrien dem åt HERREN, eder Gud; alla de som äro omkring honom bäre fram skänker åt den Fruktansvärde.13 Ty han stäcker furstarnas övermod; fruktansvärd är han för konungarna på jorden.

7 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

11 Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
