1 Paulo, apóstolo de Cristo Jesus por vontade de Deus, aos santos que estão em Éfeso, e fiéis em Cristo Jesus:2 Graça a vós e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pai e da do Senhor Jesus Cristo.3 Bendito o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que nos abençoou com toda a bênção espiritual nas regiões celestes em Cristo,4 assim como nos escolheu nele antes da fundação do mundo para sermos santos e sem defeito perante ele,5 e em amor nos predestinou para sermos adotados como filhos por Jesus Cristo para si mesmo, conforme o beneplácito da sua vontade,6 para o louvor da glória da sua graça, a qual nos deu gratuitamente no Amado,7 no qual temos a nossa redenção pelo seu sangue, a remissão dos nossos delitos segundo a riqueza da sua graça,8 a que fez abundar para conosco em toda a sabedoria e prudência,9 fazendo conhecido a nós o mistério da sua vontade, segundo o seu beneplácito que nele propôs10 para uma dispensação do cumprimento dos tempos, para reunir todas as coisas em Cristo, as que estão nos céus e as que estão sobre a terra; nele, digo,11 no qual também fomos feitos herança, tendo sido predestinados conforme o propósito daquele que faz tudo segundo o conselho da sua vontade,12 a fim de sermos para o louvor da sua glória, nós que antes havíamos esperado em Cristo;13 no qual também vós, tendo ouvido a palavra da verdade, o Evangelho da vossa salvação, e nele havendo também crido, fostes selados com o Espírito da promessa, a saber, o Espírito Santo,14 que é penhor da nossa herança para a redenção da possessão adquirida por Deus, para o louvor da sua glória.15 Por isso também eu, tendo ouvido a fé que há entre vós no Senhor Jesus e o vosso amor para com todos os santos,16 não cesso de dar graças por vós, fazendo menção de vós nas minhas orações,17 para que o Deus de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai da glória, vos dê um espírito de sabedoria e de revelação no pleno conhecimento dele,18 sendo iluminados os olhos do vosso coração, para saberdes vós qual é a esperança da sua vocação, qual a riqueza da glória da sua herança nos santos19 e qual a suprema grandeza do seu poder para com os que cremos, segundo a operação da força do seu poder,20 que operou ele em Cristo, ressuscitando-o dentre os mortos, e fazendo-o sentar-se à sua mão direita nos lugares celestes,21 muito acima de todo o domínio e autoridade e poder e senhorio e de todo o nome que se nomeia não só neste mundo, mas também no que há de vir.22 Ele lhe sujeitou todas as coisas debaixo dos pés e para ser cabeça sobre todas as coisas o deu à igreja,23 a qual é o seu corpo, o complemento daquele que enche tudo em todas as coisas.

1 From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God's will, to his holy and faithful people in Ephesus who are in union with Christ Jesus.2 May grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be yours!3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! He has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm,4 just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in his presence. In love5 he predestined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of his will,6 so that we would praise his glorious grace that he gave us in the Beloved One.7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our offenses, according to the riches of God's grace8 that he lavished on us, along with all wisdom and understanding,9 when he made known to us the secret of his will. This was according to his plan that he set forth in Christ10 to usher in the fullness of the times and to gather up all things in Christ, both things in heaven and things on earth.11 In Christ we were also chosen when we were predestined according to the purpose of the one who does everything according to the intention of his will,12 so that we who had already fixed our hope on Christ might live for his praise and glory.13 You, too, have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed in him you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of God's own possession, to his praise and glory.15 Therefore, because I have heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,16 I never stop giving thanks for you as I mention you in my prayers.17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father most glorious, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation through knowing Christ fully.18 Then, with the eyes of your hearts enlightened, you will know the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints,19 and the unlimited greatness of his power for us who believe, according to the working of his mighty strength,20 which he put to work in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realm.21 He is far above every ruler, authority, power, dominion, and every name that can be named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.22 God has put everything under his feet and has made him the head of everything for the good of the church,23 which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills everything in every way.
