Os filhos de Raamá: Sebá e Dedã.10 Cuxe gerou a Ninrode, que começou a ser poderoso na terra.11 Mizraim gerou a Ludim, a Ananim, a Leabim, a Naftuim,12 a Patrusim, a Casluim (donde procederam os filisteus) e a Caftorim.13 Canaã gerou a Sidom, seu primogênito, a Hete,14 aos jebuseus, aos amorreus, aos girgaseus,15 aos heveus, aos arqueus, aos sineus,16 aos arvadeus, aos zemareus e aos hamateus.17 Os filhos de Sem: Elão, Assur, Arfaxade, Lude, Arão, Uz, Hul, Géter e Meseque.18 Arfaxade gerou a Selá, e Selá gerou a Héber.19 A Héber nasceram dois filhos: um dos quais foi chamado Pelegue, porque nos seus dias se dividiu a terra; e o nome de seu irmão foi Joctã.20 Joctã gerou a Almodade, a Salefe, a Hazarmavete, a Jerá,21 a Hadorão, a Uzal, a Dicla,22 a Ebal, a Abimael, a Sabá,23 a Ofir, a Havilá e a Jobabe. O nome de sua mulher era Meetabel, filha de Matrede, filha de Me-Zaabe.51 Hadade morreu. Os príncipes de Edom foram: o príncipe Timna, o príncipe Aliá, o príncipe Jetete,52 o príncipe Oolibama, o príncipe Elá, o príncipe Pinom,53 o príncipe Quenaz, o príncipe Temã, o príncipe Mibzar,54 o príncipe Magdiel e o príncipe Irã. His city was named Avith.47 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king.48 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the river succeeded him as king.49 When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan son of Acbor succeeded him as king.50 When Baal-Hanan died, Hadad succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab.51 Hadad also died. The chiefs of Edom were: Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,52 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,54 Magdiel and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
