1 The word of Yahweh also came to me, saying,2 Son of Man, you dwell in the midst of the rebellious house, that have eyes to see, and don't see, that have ears to hear, and don't hear; for they are a rebellious house.3 Therefore, you Son of Man, prepare for yourself stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and you will remove from your place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.4 And you will bring forth your stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing; and you will go forth yourself at evening in their sight, as when men go forth into exile.5 Dig through the wall in their sight, and carry out through it.6 In their sight you will bear it on your shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; you will cover your face, that you don't see the land: for I have set you for a sign to the house of Israel.7 And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for removing, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bore it on my shoulder in their sight.8 And in the morning the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,9 Son of Man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, What are you doing?10 Say to them, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: This burden [concerns] the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel among whom they are.11 Say, I am your{+} sign: like I have done, so it will be done to them; they will go into exile, into captivity.12 And the prince who is among them will bear on his shoulder in the dark, and will go forth: they will dig through the wall to carry out through it: he will cover his face, because he will not see the land with his eyes.13 My net also I will spread on him, and he will be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet he will not see it, though he will die there.14 And I will scatter toward every wind all who are round about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.15 And they will know that I am Yahweh, when I will disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries.16 But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their disgusting behaviors among the nations where they come; and they will know that I am Yahweh.17 Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,18 Son of Man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fearfulness;19 and say to the people of the land, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate of all that is in it, because of the violence of all those who dwell in it.20 And the cities that are inhabited will be laid waste, and the land will be a desolation; and you{+} will know that I am Yahweh.21 And the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,22 Son of Man, what is this proverb that you{+} have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision fails?23 Tell them therefore, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: I will make this proverb to cease, and they will no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say to them, The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.24 For there will be no more any false vision nor flattering psychic readings inside the house of Israel.25 For I am Yahweh; I will speak, and the word that I will speak will be performed; it will be deferred no more: for in your{+} days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word, and will perform it, says the Sovereign Yahweh.26 Again the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,27 Son of Man, look, those of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for many days to come, and he prophesies of times that are far off.28 Therefore say to them, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: None of my words will be deferred anymore, but the word which I will speak will be performed, says the Sovereign Yahweh.

1 Veio a mim esta palavra do Senhor:2 "Filho do homem, você vive no meio de uma nação rebelde. Eles têm olhos para ver, mas não vêem, e ouvidos para ouvir, mas não ouvem, pois são uma nação rebelde.3 "Portanto, filho do homem, arrume os seus pertences para o exílio e, durante o dia, à vista de todos, parta, e vá para outro lugar. Talvez eles compreendam, embora sejam uma nação rebelde.4 Durante o dia, sem fugir aos olhares do povo, leve para fora os seus pertences arrumados para o exílio. Então, à tarde, saia como aqueles que vão para o exílio. E que os outros o vejam fazer isso.5 Enquanto eles o observam, faça um buraco no muro e passe os seus pertences através dele.6 Ponha-os nos ombros, enquanto o povo estiver observando, e carregue-os ao entardecer. Cubra o rosto para que você não possa ver nada do país, pois eu fiz de você um sinal para a nação de Israel".7 Então eu fiz o que me foi ordenado. Durante o dia levei para fora as minhas coisas arrumadas para o exílio. Depois, à tarde, fiz com as mãos um buraco no muro. Ao entardecer saí com os meus pertences carregando-os nos ombros à vista de todos.8 De manhã me veio esta palavra do Senhor:9 "Filho do homem, acaso aquela nação rebelde de Israel não lhe perguntou: ‘Que é que você está fazendo? ’10 "Diga-lhes: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: Esta advertência diz respeito ao príncipe de Jerusalém e a toda a nação de Israel que está ali’.11 Diga-lhes: ‘Eu sou um sinal para vocês. Como eu fiz, assim lhes será feito. Eles irão para o exílio como prisioneiros’.12 "O príncipe deles porá os seus pertences nos ombros ao entardecer e sairá por um buraco que será escavado no muro para ele passar. Ele cobrirá o rosto para que não possa ver nada do país.13 Estenderei a minha rede para ele, e ele será apanhado em meu laço; eu o trarei para a Babilônia, terra dos caldeus, mas ele não a verá, e ali morrerá.14 Espalharei aos ventos todos os que estão ao seu redor, os seus oficiais e todas as suas tropas, e os perseguirei com a espada em punho.15 "Eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor, quando eu os dispersar entre as nações e os espalhar pelas terras.16 Mas pouparei uns poucos deles da espada, da fome e da peste para que, nas nações aonde forem, contem todas as suas práticas repugnantes. Então saberão que eu sou o Senhor".17 Esta palavra do Senhor veio a mim:18 "Filho do homem, trema enquanto come a sua comida, e fique arrepiado de medo enquanto bebe a sua água.19 Diga ao povo do país: ‘Assim diz o Senhor Soberano acerca daqueles que vivem em Jerusalém e em Israel: Eles comerão sua comida com ansiedade e beberão sua água desesperados, pois tudo o que existe em sua terra dela será arrancado por causa da violência de todos os que ali vivem.20 As cidades habitadas serão arrasadas e a terra ficará abandonada. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor’ ".21 O Senhor me falou:22 "Filho do homem, que provérbio é este que vocês têm em Israel: ‘Os dias passam e todas as visões dão em nada’?23 Diga-lhes, pois: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: Vou dar fim a esse provérbio, e não será mais citado em Israel’. Diga-lhes: ‘Estão chegando os dias em que toda visão se cumprirá.24 Pois não haverá mais visões falsas ou adivinhações bajuladoras entre o povo de Israel.25 Mas eu, o Senhor, falarei o que eu quiser, e isso se cumprirá sem demora. Pois em seus dias, ó nação rebelde, cumprirei tudo o que eu disser, palavra do Soberano Senhor’ ".26 Veio a mim esta palavra do Senhor:27 "Filho do homem, a nação de Israel está dizendo: ‘A visão que ele vê é para daqui a muitos anos, e ele profetiza sobre o futuro distante’.28 "Pois diga a eles: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: Nenhuma de minhas palavras sofrerá mais demora; tudo o que eu disser se cumprirá, palavra do Soberano Senhor’ ".
