1 The word of Yahweh came again to me, saying,2 Son of Man, say to the leader of Tyre, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet you are man, and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God;--3 look, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that is hidden from you;4 by your wisdom and by your understanding you have gotten you riches, and have gotten gold and silver into your treasures;5 by your great wisdom [and] by your traffic you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches;--6 therefore thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: Because you have set your heart as the heart of God,7 therefore, look, I will bring strangers on you, the terrible of the nations; and they will draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they will defile your brightness.8 They will bring you down to the pit; and you will die the death of those who are slain, in the heart of the seas.9 Will you yet say before him who slays you, I am God? But you are man, and not God, in the hand of him who wounds you.10 You will die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, says the Sovereign Yahweh.11 Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,12 Son of Man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was in you; in the day that you were created they were prepared.14 You were the anointed cherub that covers; I set you; you were on the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.15 You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you.16 By the abundance of your traffic they filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I have cast you as profane out of the mountain of God; and I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I have cast you to the ground; I have laid you before kings, that they may look at you.18 By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your traffic, you have profaned your sanctuaries; therefore I have brought forth a fire from the midst of you; it has devoured you, and I have turned you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all those who look at you.19 All those who know you among the peoples will be astonished at you: you have become a terror, and you will nevermore have any being.20 And the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,21 Son of Man, set your face toward Sidon, and prophesy against it,22 and say, Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: Look, I am against you, O Sidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of you; and they will know that I am Yahweh, when I will have executed judgments in her, and will be sanctified in her.23 For I will send pestilence into her, and blood into her streets; and the wounded will fall in the midst of her, with the sword on her on every side; and they will know that I am Yahweh.24 And there will be no more a pricking brier to the house of Israel, nor a hurting thorn of any who are round about them, who did despite to them; and they will know that I am the Sovereign Yahweh.25 Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh: When I will have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and will be sanctified in them in the sight of the nations, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to my slave Jacob.26 And they will dwell securely in it; yes, they will build houses, and plant vineyards, and will dwell securely, when I have executed judgments on all those who do them despite round about them; and they will know that I am Yahweh their God.

1 Veio a mim esta palavra do Senhor:2 "Filho do homem, diga ao governante de Tiro: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: " ‘No orgulho do seu coração você diz: "Sou um deus; sento-me no trono de um deus no coração dos mares". Mas você é um homem, e não um deus, embora se ache tão sábio quanto um deus.3 Você é mais sábio que Daniel? Não haverá segredo que lhe seja oculto?4 Mediante a sua sabedoria e o seu entendimento, você granjeou riquezas e acumulou ouro e prata em seus tesouros.5 Pela sua grande habilidade comercial você aumentou as suas riquezas, e, por causa das suas riquezas, o seu coração ficou cada vez mais orgulhoso.6 " ‘Por isso, assim diz o Soberano Senhor: " ‘Porque você pensa que é sábio, tão sábio quanto um deus,7 trarei estrangeiros contra você, das mais impiedosas nações; eles empunharão suas espadas contra a sua beleza e a sua sabedoria e traspassarão o seu esplendor fulgurante.8 Eles o farão descer à cova, e você terá morte violenta no coração dos mares.9 Será que então você dirá: "Eu sou um deus" na presença daqueles que o matarem? Você será tão-somente um homem, e não um deus, nas mãos daqueles que o abaterem.10 Você terá a morte dos incircuncisos nas mãos de estrangeiros. Eu falei; palavra do Soberano Senhor’ ".11 Esta palavra do Senhor veio a mim:12 "Filho do homem, erga um lamento a respeito do rei de Tiro e diga-lhe: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: " ‘Você era o modelo de perfeição, cheio de sabedoria e de perfeita beleza.13 Você estava no Éden, no jardim de Deus; todas as pedras preciosas o enfeitavam: sárdio, topázio e diamante, berilo, ônix e jaspe, safira, carbúnculo e esmeralda. Seus engastes e guarnições eram feitos de ouro; tudo foi preparado no dia em que você foi criado.14 Você foi ungido como um querubim guardião, pois para isso eu o determinei. Você estava no monte santo de Deus e caminhava entre as pedras fulgurantes.15 Você era inculpável em seus caminhos desde o dia em que foi criado até que se achou maldade em você.16 Por meio do seu amplo comércio, você encheu-se de violência e pecou. Por isso eu o lancei em desgraça para longe do monte de Deus, e eu o expulsei, ó querubim guardião, do meio das pedras fulgurantes.17 Seu coração tornou-se orgulhoso por causa da sua beleza, e você corrompeu a sua sabedoria por causa do seu esplendor. Por isso eu o atirei à terra; fiz de você um espetáculo para os reis.18 Por meio dos seus muitos pecados e do seu comércio desonesto você profanou os seus santuários. Por isso fiz sair de você um fogo, que o consumiu, e eu reduzi você a cinzas no chão, à vista de todos os que estavam observando.19 Todas as nações que o conheciam ficaram chocadas ao vê-la; chegou o seu terrível fim, você não mais existirá’ ".20 Veio a mim esta palavra do Senhor:21 "Filho do homem, vire o rosto contra Sidom; profetize contra ela22 e diga: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: " ‘Estou contra você, Sidom, e manifestarei a minha glória dentro de você. Todos saberão que eu sou o Senhor, quando eu castigá-lo e mostrar-me santo em seu meio.23 Enviarei uma peste sobre você e farei sangue correr em suas ruas. Os mortos cairão pela espada que a ataca por todos os lados. E todos saberão que eu sou o Senhor.24 " ‘Israel não terá mais vizinhos maldosos agindo como roseiras bravas dolorosas e espinhos pontudos. Pois eles saberão que eu sou o Soberano Senhor.25 " ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: Quando eu reunir Israel de entre as nações nas quais foi espalhado, eu me mostrarei santo entre eles à vista das nações. Então eles viverão em sua própria terra, a qual dei ao meu servo Jacó.26 Eles viverão ali em segurança, construirão casas e plantarão vinhas; viverão em segurança quando eu castigar todos os seus vizinhos que lhes fizeram mal. Então eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor, o seu Deus’ ".
