1 Não julgueis, e não sereis julgados.2 Porque do mesmo modo que julgardes, sereis também vós julgados e, com a medida com que tiverdes medido, também vós sereis medidos.3 Por que olhas a palha que está no olho do teu irmão e não vês a trave que está no teu?4 Como ousas dizer a teu irmão: Deixa-me tirar a palha do teu olho, quando tens uma trave no teu?5 Hipócrita! Tira primeiro a trave de teu olho e assim verás para tirar a palha do olho do teu irmão.6 Não lanceis aos cães as coisas santas, não atireis aos porcos as vossas pérolas, para que não as calquem com os seus pés, e, voltando-se contra vós, vos despedacem.7 Pedi e se vos dará. Buscai e achareis. Batei e vos será aberto.8 Porque todo aquele que pede, recebe. Quem busca, acha. A quem bate, abrir-se-á.9 Quem dentre vós dará uma pedra a seu filho, se este lhe pedir pão?10 E, se lhe pedir um peixe, dar-lhe-á uma serpente?11 Se vós, pois, que sois maus, sabeis dar boas coisas a vossos filhos, quanto mais vosso Pai celeste dará boas coisas aos que lhe pedirem.12 Tudo o que quereis que os homens vos façam, fazei-o vós a eles. Esta é a lei e os profetas.13 Entrai pela porta estreita, porque larga é a porta e espaçoso o caminho que conduzem à perdição e numerosos são os que por aí entram.14 Estreita, porém, é a porta e apertado o caminho da vida e raros são os que o encontram.15 Guardai-vos dos falsos profetas. Eles vêm a vós disfarçados de ovelhas, mas por dentro são lobos arrebatadores.16 Pelos seus frutos os conhecereis. Colhem-se, porventura, uvas dos espinhos e figos dos abrolhos?17 Toda árvore boa dá bons frutos; toda árvore má dá maus frutos.18 Uma árvore boa não pode dar maus frutos; nem uma árvore má, bons frutos.19 Toda árvore que não der bons frutos será cortada e lançada ao fogo.20 Pelos seus frutos os conhecereis.21 Nem todo aquele que me diz: Senhor, Senhor, entrará no Reino dos céus, mas sim aquele que faz a vontade de meu Pai que está nos céus.22 Muitos me dirão naquele dia: Senhor, Senhor, não pregamos nós em vosso nome, e não foi em vosso nome que expulsamos os demônios e fizemos muitos milagres?23 E, no entanto, eu lhes direi: Nunca vos conheci. Retirai-vos de mim, operários maus!24 Aquele, pois, que ouve estas minhas palavras e as põe em prática é semelhante a um homem prudente, que edificou sua casa sobre a rocha.25 Caiu a chuva, vieram as enchentes, sopraram os ventos e investiram contra aquela casa; ela, porém, não caiu, porque estava edificada na rocha.26 Mas aquele que ouve as minhas palavras e não as põe em prática é semelhante a um homem insensato, que construiu sua casa na areia.27 Caiu a chuva, vieram as enchentes, sopraram os ventos e investiram contra aquela casa; ela caiu e grande foi a sua ruína.28 Quando Jesus terminou o discurso, a multidão ficou impressionada com a sua doutrina.29 Com efeito, ele a ensinava como quem tinha autoridade e não como os seus escribas.

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.2 For with the judgment with which ye judge, ye shall be judged, and with the measure with which ye measure, ye shall be measured again.3 And why dost thou behold the mote that is in thy brother's eye but dost not consider the beam that is in thine own eye?4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou be able to see to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and rend you.7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you;8 for every one that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks it shall be opened.9 Or what man is there of you, whom, if his son asks [for] bread, will he give him a stone?10 Or if he asks [for] fish, will he give him a serpent?11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those that ask him?12 Therefore, all things whatsoever ye desire that men should do unto you, so also shall ye do unto them, for this is the law and the prophets.13 Enter ye in at the narrow gate, for the way that leads to destruction is wide and spacious, and those who follow it are many;14 because narrow [is] the gate, and confined [is] the way which leads unto life, and there are few that find it.15 Keep yourselves also from the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.19 Every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire.20 So that by their fruits ye shall know them.21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in the heavens.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity.24 Therefore, whosoever hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him unto a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock;25 and the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded upon a rock.26 And every one that hears these words of mine and does not do them shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand;27 and the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it.28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these words, the multitude marvelled at his doctrine;29 for he taught them as [one] having authority and not as the scribes.:
