| 2 | And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD. | És mikor Dávid elvégezte az egészen égõáldozatot és a hálaáldozatot, az Úr nevében megáldá a népet. |
| 3 | And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. | És osztogata minden Izráelitának, férfinak úgy, mint asszonynak egy-egy kenyeret, és egy-egy darab húst és egy-egy kalácsot. |
| 4 | And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel: | És rendele az Úr ládája elé a Léviták közül szolgákat, a kik hirdessék, tiszteljék és dícsérjék az Urat, Izráel Istenét. |
| 5 | Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals; | Asáf vala a fõ, utána másodrenden Zakariás, Jéhiel, Semirámót, Jékhiel, Mattithja, Eliáb, Benája és Obed-Edom. | 6 | Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God. | Továbbá Benája és Jaháziel papok kürtölnek vala szüntelen az Isten szövetségének ládája elõtt. |
| 7 | Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. | Azon a napon adott Dávid elõször [éneket] az Úrnak dícséretére Asáfnak és az õ atyjafiainak kezébe. |
| 8 | Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. | Dícsérjétek az Urat, hívjátok segítségül az õ nevét, hirdessétek minden népek között az õ nagy dolgait. |
| 9 | Sing to him, sing psalms to him, talk ye of all his wonderous works. | Énekeljetek néki, mondjatok dícséretet néki, beszéljetek minden csudálatos dolgairól. |
| 10 | Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. | Dicsekedjetek az õ szent nevében; örvendezzen szívök azoknak, a kik az Urat keresik. |
| 11 | Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. | Keressétek az Urat és az õ erõsségét; keressétek az õ orczáját szüntelen. |
| 12 | Remember his wonderful works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; | Emlékezzetek meg az õ csudálatos dolgairól, a melyeket cselekedett, az õ csudáiról és az õ szájának ítéletirõl. |
| 13 | O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. | Óh Izráelnek, az õ szolgájának magva! Jákóbnak, az õ választottjának fiai! |
| 14 | He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. | Ez az Úr, a mi Istenünk; az egész földön az õ ítéletei! |
| 15 | Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations; | Emlékezzetek meg örökké az õ szövetségérõl, és az õ beszédérõl, a melyet parancsolt, ezer nemzetségig; |
| 16 | Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath to Isaac; | A melyet szerzett Ábrahámmal; és az Izsáknak tett esküjérõl. |
| 17 | And which he confirmed to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, | Amelyet állíta Jákóbnak [örök] végzésül, Izráelnek örökkévaló szövetségül, |

| 20 | And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people; | Mert járnak vala egyik nemzetségtõl a másikhoz, és egyik országból más országba: |
| 21 | He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, | Mégsem engedé senkinek õket bántani, sõt még a királyokat is megbünteté érettök. |
| 22 | Saying, Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm. | [Ezt mondván:] Az én felkentjeimet ne bántsátok, prófétáimnak se ártsatok. |
| 23 | Sing to the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day his salvation. | Mind ez egész föld énekeljen az Úrnak, napról-napra hirdessétek az õ szabadítását. |
| 24 | Declare his glory among the heathen; his wonderful works among all nations. | Beszéljétek a pogányok között az õ dicsõségét, minden népek között az õ csudálatos dolgait; |
| 25 | For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. | Mert nagy az Úr és igen dícsérendõ, és rettenetes minden istenek felett; |
| 26 | For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. | Mert a pogányoknak minden isteneik csak bálványok, de az Úr teremtette az egeket. |
| 27 | Glory and honor are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. | Dicsõség és tisztesség van õ elõtte, erõsség és vígasság az õ helyén. |
| 28 | Give to the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give to the LORD glory and strength. | Adjatok az Úrnak, népeknek nemzetségei, adjatok az Úrnak dicsõséget és erõsséget! |
| 29 | Give to the LORD the glory due to his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. | Adjatok az Úr nevének dicsõséget, hozzatok ajándékot, és jõjjetek eleibe, imádjátok az Urat a szentség ékességében. |
| 30 | Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. | Rettegjen az egész föld az õ orczájától; a föld kereksége is megerõsíttetik, hogy ne ingadozzék. |
| 31 | Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth. | Örüljenek az egek, és örvendezzen a föld, és mondják a pogányok között: az Úr uralkodik! |
| 32 | Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein. | Zengjen a tenger és az õ teljessége; örvendezzen a mezõ és minden, a mi azon van. |
| 33 | Then shall the trees of the wood sing at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth. | Akkor örvendezni kezdenek az erdõnek fái az Úr elõtt, mikor eljövend megítélni a földet. |
| 34 | O give thanks to the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. | Tiszteljétek az Urat, mert igen jó, mert örökkévaló az õ irgalmassága. |
| 35 | And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise. | És mondjátok: Tarts meg minket, mi szabadító Istenünk, gyûjts össze minket, és szabadíts meg a pogányoktól, hogy a te szent nevedet tisztelhessük, dicsekedhessünk a te dícséretedben! |
| 36 | Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD. | Áldott legyen az Úr, Izráel Istene öröktõl fogva mindörökké! És monda a sokaság: Ámen! és dícséré az Urat. |
| 37 | So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required: | Ott hagyá azért [Dávid] az Úr szövetségének ládájánál Asáfot és az õ atyjafiait, hogy a láda elõtt szüntelen minden napon szolgáljanak, |
| 38 | And Obed-edom with their brethren, sixty and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters: | Obed-Edomot és az õ hatvannyolcz atyjafiát (Obed-Edom pedig a Jedithun fia) és Hósát pedig ajtónállóknak. |

| 40 | To offer burnt-offerings to the LORD upon the altar of the burnt-offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel; | Hogy áldozzanak az Úrnak szüntelen égõáldozattal az égõáldozatnak oltárán minden reggel és estve, és hogy mindent a szerint [cselekedjenek,] a mint megiratott az Úr törvényében, melyet parancsolt vala az Izráelnek, |
| 41 | And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever; | Hémánt is és Jédutunt velök [hagyá,] és többeket is választott, a kik nevök szerint megneveztettek, hogy az Urat dícsérjék, mert az õ irgalmassága örökkévaló. |
| 42 | And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters. | És õ velök Hémánt és Jédutunt kürtökkel, czimbalmokkal és az Isten énekének szerszámaival. A Jédutun fiait pedig kapunállókká [tevé]. |
| 43 | And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house. | Akkor eltávozék az egész nép, kiki az õ házához. Dávid pedig visszatére, hogy az õ háznépét is megáldja. |
