1 Conhecido é Deus em Judá, grande é o seu nome em Israel.
2 Em Salém está a sua tenda, e a sua morada em Sião.
3 Ali quebrou ele as flechas do arco, o escudo, a espada, e a guerra.
4 Glorioso és tu, mais majestoso do que os montes eternos.
5 Os ousados de coração foram despojados; dormiram o seu último sono; nenhum dos homens de força pôde usar as mãos.
6 À tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacó, cavaleiros e cavalos ficaram estirados sem sentidos.
7 Tu, sim, tu és tremendo; e quem subsistirá à tua vista, quando te irares?
8 Desde o céu fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; a terra tremeu e se aquietou,
9 quando Deus se levantou para julgar, para salvar a todos os mansos da terra.
10 Na verdade a cólera do homem redundará em teu louvor, e do restante da cólera tu te cingirás.
11 Fazei votos, e pagai-os ao Senhor, vosso Deus; tragam presentes, os que estão em redor dele, àquele que deve ser temido.
12 Ele ceifará o espírito dos príncipes; é tremendo para com os reis da terra.

2 And His tabernacle is in Salem, And His habitation in Zion.
3 There he hath shivered arrows of a bow, Shield, and sword, and battle. Selah.
4 Bright [art] Thou, honourable above hills of prey.
5 Spoiled themselves have the mighty of heart, They have slept their sleep, And none of the men of might found their hands.
6 From Thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both rider and horse have been fast asleep.
7 Thou, fearful [art] Thou, And who doth stand before Thee, Since Thou hast been angry!
8 From heaven Thou hast sounded judgment, Earth hath feared, and hath been still,
9 In the rising of God to judgment, To save all the humble of earth. Selah.
10 For the fierceness of man praiseth Thee, The remnant of fierceness Thou girdest on.
11 Vow and complete to Jehovah your God, All ye surrounding him. They bring presents to the Fearful One.
12 He doth gather the spirit of leaders, Fearful to the kings of earth!
