1 Tu, pois, ó filho do homem, profetiza ainda contra Gogue e dize: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que eu sou contra ti, ó Gogue, príncipe de Rôs, de Meseque e Tubal. 2 Far-te-ei que te volvas e te conduzirei, far-te-ei subir dos lados do Norte e te trarei aos montes de Israel. 3 Tirarei o teu arco da tua mão esquerda e farei cair as tuas flechas da tua mão direita. 4 Nos montes de Israel, cairás, tu, e todas as tuas tropas, e os povos que estão contigo; a toda espécie de aves de rapina e aos animais do campo eu te darei, para que te devorem. 5 Cairás em campo aberto, porque eu falei, diz o Senhor Deus. 6 Meterei fogo em Magogue e nos que habitam seguros nas terras do mar; e saberão que eu sou o Senhor. 7 Farei conhecido o meu santo nome no meio do meu povo de Israel e nunca mais deixarei profanar o meu santo nome; e as nações saberão que eu sou o Senhor, o Santo em Israel. 8 Eis que vem e se cumprirá, diz o Senhor Deus; este é o dia de que tenho falado. 9 Os habitantes das cidades de Israel sairão e queimarão, de todo, as armas, os escudos, os paveses, os arcos, as flechas, os bastões de mão e as lanças; farão fogo com tudo isto por sete anos. 10 Não trarão lenha do campo, nem a cortarão dos bosques, mas com as armas acenderão fogo; saquearão aos que os saquearam e despojarão aos que os despojaram, diz o Senhor Deus.

11 Naquele dia, darei ali a Gogue um lugar de sepultura em Israel, o vale dos Viajantes, ao oriente do mar; espantar-se-ão os que por ele passarem. Nele, sepultarão a Gogue e a todas as suas forças e lhe chamarão o vale das Forças de Gogue. 12 Durante sete meses, estará a casa de Israel a sepultá-los, para limpar a terra. 13 Sim, todo o povo da terra os sepultará; ser-lhes-á memorável o dia em que eu for glorificado, diz o Senhor Deus. 14 Serão separados homens que, sem cessar, percorrerão a terra para sepultar os que entre os transeuntes tenham ficado nela, para a limpar; depois de sete meses, iniciarão a busca. 15 Ao percorrerem eles a terra, a qual atravessarão, em vendo algum deles o osso de algum homem, porá ao lado um sinal, até que os enterradores o sepultem no vale das Forças de Gogue. 16 Também o nome da cidade será o das Forças. Assim, limparão a terra.

17 Tu, pois, ó filho do homem, assim diz o Senhor Deus: Dize às aves de toda espécie e a todos os animais do campo: Ajuntai-vos e vinde, ajuntai-vos de toda parte para o meu sacrifício, que eu oferecerei por vós, sacrifício grande nos montes de Israel; e comereis carne e bebereis sangue. 18 Comereis a carne dos poderosos e bebereis o sangue dos príncipes da terra, dos carneiros, dos cordeiros, dos bodes e dos novilhos, todos engordados em Basã. 19 Do meu sacrifício, que oferecerei por vós, comereis a gordura até vos fartardes e bebereis o sangue até vos embriagardes. 20 À minha mesa, vós vos fartareis de cavalos e de cavaleiros, de valentes e de todos os homens de guerra, diz o Senhor Deus.

21 Manifestarei a minha glória entre as nações, e todas as nações verão o meu juízo, que eu tiver executado, e a minha mão, que sobre elas tiver descarregado. 22 Desse dia em diante, os da casa de Israel saberão que eu sou o Senhor, seu Deus. 23 Saberão as nações que os da casa de Israel, por causa da sua iniquidade, foram levados para o exílio, porque agiram perfidamente contra mim, e eu escondi deles o rosto, e os entreguei nas mãos de seus adversários, e todos eles caíram à espada. 24 Segundo a sua imundícia e as suas transgressões, assim me houve com eles e escondi deles o rosto.

25 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Deus: Agora, tornarei a mudar a sorte de Jacó e me compadecerei de toda a casa de Israel; terei zelo pelo meu santo nome. 26 Esquecerão a sua vergonha e toda a perfídia com que se rebelaram contra mim, quando eles habitarem seguros na sua terra, sem haver quem os espante, 27 quando eu tornar a trazê-los de entre os povos, e os houver ajuntado das terras de seus inimigos, e tiver vindicado neles a minha santidade perante muitas nações. 28 Saberão que eu sou o Senhor, seu Deus, quando virem que eu os fiz ir para o cativeiro entre as nações, e os tornei a ajuntar para voltarem à sua terra, e que lá não deixarei a nenhum deles. 29 Já não esconderei deles o rosto, pois derramarei o meu Espírito sobre a casa de Israel, diz o Senhor Deus.

1 And thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal: 2 and I will turn thee about, and will lead thee on, and will cause thee to come up from the uttermost parts of the north; and I will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel; 3 and I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. 4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy hordes, and the peoples that are with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah. 6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and on them that dwell securely in the isles; and they shall know that I am Jehovah. 7 And my holy name will I make known in the midst of my people Israel; neither will I suffer my holy name to be profaned any more: and the nations shall know that I am Jehovah, the Holy One in Israel. 8 Behold, it cometh, and it shall be done, saith the Lord Jehovah; this is the day whereof I have spoken. 9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall make fires of the weapons and burn them, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall make fires of them seven years; 10 so that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall make fires of the weapons; and they shall plunder those that plundered them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord Jehovah.

11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place for burial in Israel, the valley of them that pass through on the east of the sea; and it shall stop them that pass through: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog. 12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land. 13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown in the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord Jehovah. 14 And they shall set apart men of continual employment, that shall pass through the land, and, with them that pass through, those that bury them that remain upon the face of the land, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. 15 And they that pass through the land shall pass through; and when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog. 16 And Hamonah shall also be the name of a city. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

17 And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Speak unto the birds of every sort, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh and drink blood. 18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. 19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20 And ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord Jehovah.

21 And I will set my glory among the nations; and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. 22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am Jehovah their God, from that day and forward. 23 And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they trespassed against me, and I hid my face from them: so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they fell all of them by the sword. 24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions did I unto them; and I hid my face from them.

25 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name. 26 And they shall bear their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they shall dwell securely in their land, and none shall make them afraid; 27 when I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations. 28 And they shall know that I am Jehovah their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them unto their own land; and I will leave none of them any more there; 29 neither will I hide my face any more from them; for I have poured out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.

1 "Son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of "Meshek and Tubal.

2 I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel.

3 Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand.

4 On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals.

5 You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD.

6 I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the LORD.

7 "'I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel.

8 It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign LORD. This is the day I have spoken of.

9 "'Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up —the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel.

10 They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Sovereign LORD.

11 "'On that day I will give Gog a burial place in Israel, in the valley of those who travel east of the Sea. It will block the way of travelers, because Gog and all his hordes will be buried there. So it will be called the Valley of Hamon Gog. [^2]

12 "'For seven months the Israelites will be burying them in order to cleanse the land.

13 All the people of the land will bury them, and the day I display my glory will be a memorable day for them, declares the Sovereign LORD.

14 People will be continually employed in cleansing the land. They will spread out across the land and, along with others, they will bury any bodies that are lying on the ground. "'After the seven months they will carry out a more detailed search.

15 As they go through the land, anyone who sees a human bone will leave a marker beside it until the gravediggers bury it in the Valley of Hamon Gog,

16 near a town called Hamonah. "And so they will cleanse the land.'

17 "Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Call out to every kind of bird and all the wild animals: 'Assemble and come together from all around to the sacrifice I am preparing for you, the great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. There you will eat flesh and drink blood.

18 You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth as if they were rams and lambs, goats and bulls —all of them fattened animals from Bashan.

19 At the sacrifice I am preparing for you, you will eat fat till you are glutted and drink blood till you are drunk.

20 At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, mighty men and soldiers of every kind,' declares the Sovereign LORD.

21 "I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the punishment I inflict and the hand I lay on them.

22 From that day forward the people of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God.

23 And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword.

24 I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, and I hid my face from them.

25 "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will now restore the fortunes of Jacob "and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name.

26 They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no one to make them afraid.

27 When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will be proved holy through them in the sight of many nations.

28 Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind.

29 I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the people of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD."
