1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the assembly of the LORD. 2 A bastard shall not enter into the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation shall none of his enter into the assembly of the LORD. 3 An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation shall none belonging to them enter into the assembly of the LORD for ever: 4 because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee. 5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee. 6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever. 7 Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land. 8 The children of the third generation that are born unto them shall enter into the assembly of the LORD. 9 When thou goest forth in camp against thine enemies, then thou shalt keep thee from every evil thing. 10 If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of that which chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp: 11 but it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall bathe himself in water: and when the sun is down, he shall come within the camp. 12 Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad: 13 and thou shalt have a paddle among thy weapons; and it shall be, when thou sittest down abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee: 14 for the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee. 15 Thou shalt not deliver unto his master a servant which is escaped from his master unto thee: 16 he shall dwell with thee, in the midst of thee, in the place which he shall choose within one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him. 17 There shall be no harlot of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel. 18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the wages of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are an abomination unto the LORD thy God. 19 Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury: 20 unto a foreigner thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou puttest thine hand unto, in the land whither thou goest in to possess it. 21 When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not be slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee. 22 But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee. 23 That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt observe and do; according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, a freewill offering, which thou hast promised with thy mouth. 24 When thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel. 25 When thou comest into thy neighbour’s standing corn, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour’s standing corn.

1 — Aquele a quem forem esmagados os testículos ou cortado o membro viril não entrará na assembleia do Senhor.

2 — Nenhum bastardo entrará na assembleia do Senhor; nem ainda a sua décima geração entrará nela.

3 — Nenhum amonita ou moabita entrará na assembleia do Senhor; nem ainda a sua décima geração entrará na assembleia do Senhor, eternamente. 4 Porque não foram ao encontro de vocês com pão e água, no caminho, quando vocês estavam saindo do Egito; e porque contrataram Balaão, filho de Beor, de Petor, da Mesopotâmia, para amaldiçoar vocês. 5 Porém o Senhor, o Deus de vocês, não quis ouvir Balaão; pelo contrário, mudou a maldição em bênção, porque o Senhor, seu Deus, amava vocês. 6 Não procurem nem paz nem bem para os amonitas e moabitas enquanto vocês viverem, para sempre.

7 — Não odeiem os edomitas, porque são irmãos de vocês; nem odeiem os egípcios, porque vocês viveram como estrangeiros na terra deles. 8 Os filhos que lhes nascerem na terceira geração, cada um deles poderá entrar na assembleia do Senhor.

9 — Quando o exército sair para lutar contra os inimigos de vocês, então vocês devem se guardar de toda coisa má.

10 — Se houver entre vocês alguém que, por motivo de polução noturna, não esteja puro, sairá do acampamento; não poderá permanecer nele. 11 Porém, ao cair da tarde, ele se lavará com água; e, depois do pôr do sol, poderá voltar ao acampamento.

12 — Também haverá um lugar fora do acampamento, para onde vocês devem ir e fazer as suas necessidades. 13 Tenham entre as suas armas uma pá; e, quando alguém se abaixar, fora do acampamento, cavará um buraco com a pá e, virando-se, cobrirá as fezes com terra. 14 Porque o Senhor, seu Deus, anda no meio do acampamento de vocês para livrá-los e para entregar os inimigos de vocês em suas mãos; portanto, o acampamento de vocês deve ser santo, para que ele não veja em vocês coisa indecente e se afaste de vocês.

15 — Não entreguem ao seu senhor o escravo que, tendo fugido dele, se refugiar entre vocês. 16 Poderá ficar morando com vocês, no lugar que escolher, em alguma das cidades de vocês que for do seu agrado; não o oprimam.

17 — Das filhas de Israel não haverá quem se prostitua no serviço do templo, nem dos filhos de Israel haverá quem o faça. 18 Não permitam que o salário pago a prostituta ou a prostituto, por qualquer voto, seja trazido à Casa do Senhor, seu Deus; porque uma e outra coisa são igualmente abomináveis ao Senhor, seu Deus.

19 — De um compatriota vocês não devem cobrar juros, ao emprestarem dinheiro, comida ou qualquer coisa que se costuma emprestar com juros. 20 Aos estrangeiros vocês podem emprestar com juros, porém aos seus compatriotas vocês não devem emprestar com juros, para que o Senhor, seu Deus, os abençoe em todos os seus empreendimentos na terra que vocês vão possuir.

21 — Se fizerem um voto ao Senhor, seu Deus, não devem demorar a cumpri-lo, porque o Senhor, seu Deus, certamente o exigirá de vocês, e vocês serão culpados de pecado. 22 Mas, se vocês se abstiverem de fazer um voto, não serão culpados de pecado. 23 O que proferiram os seus lábios, isso vocês têm de guardar e cumprir, porque livremente fizeram um voto ao Senhor, seu Deus, com as palavras que disseram.

24 — Quando entrarem na vinha do seu próximo, podem comer uvas à vontade, até ficarem fartos, porém não devem levá-las embora num cesto. 25 Quando entrarem na plantação do seu próximo, podem arrancar as espigas com as mãos; porém não devem colher nada com a foice.
