1 And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein; 2 that thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which thou shalt bring in from thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee; and thou shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there. 3 And thou shalt come unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the land which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us. 4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God. 5 And thou shalt answer and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there, few in number; and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous: 6 and the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage: 7 and we cried unto the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice, and saw our affliction, and our toil, and our oppression: 8 and the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: 9 and he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey. 10 And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it down before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God: 11 and thou shalt rejoice in all the good which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is in the midst of thee. 12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithe of thine increase in the third year, which is the year of tithing, then thou shalt give it unto the Levite, to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled; 13 and thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have put away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed any of thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them: 14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I put away thereof, being unclean, nor given thereof for the dead: I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, I have done according to all that thou hast commanded me. 15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the ground which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey. 16 This day the LORD thy God commandeth thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. 17 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and that thou shouldest walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and hearken unto his voice: 18 and the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be a peculiar people unto himself, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments; 19 and to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.

1 — Ao entrar na terra que o Senhor, seu Deus, lhe dá por herança, ao possuí-la e morar nela, 2 você deve pegar as primícias de todos os frutos que colheu na terra que o Senhor, seu Deus, lhe deu, colocá-las num cesto e ir ao lugar que o Senhor, seu Deus, escolher para ali fazer habitar o seu nome. 3 Você chegará ao sacerdote que estiver de serviço naqueles dias e lhe dirá: "Hoje declaro ao Senhor, seu Deus, que entrei na terra que o Senhor, sob juramento, prometeu dar aos nossos pais." 4 O sacerdote pegará o cesto e o colocará diante do altar do Senhor, seu Deus. 5 Então você testificará diante do Senhor, seu Deus, dizendo: "Meu pai foi um arameu prestes a perecer. Ele foi para o Egito, e ali viveu como estrangeiro com pouca gente; e ali veio a ser uma nação grande, forte e numerosa. 6 Mas os egípcios nos maltrataram, oprimiram e nos impuseram dura servidão. 7 Clamamos ao Senhor, Deus de nossos pais; e o Senhor ouviu a nossa voz e viu a nossa angústia, o nosso trabalho e a nossa opressão. 8 E o Senhor nos tirou do Egito com mão poderosa, com braço estendido, com grande espanto, com sinais e com milagres. 9 Ele nos trouxe a este lugar e nos deu esta terra, terra que mana leite e mel. 10 Eis que, agora, trago as primícias dos frutos da terra que tu, ó Senhor, me deste." Então você as colocará diante do Senhor, seu Deus, e se prostrará diante dele. 11 Você se alegrará por todo o bem que o Senhor, seu Deus, tem dado a você e à sua casa. E também se alegrarão os levitas e os estrangeiros que morarem onde você vive.

12 — Quando, no terceiro ano, que é o ano dos dízimos, você acabar de separar todos os dízimos da colheita, você os dará aos levitas, aos estrangeiros, aos órfãos e às viúvas, para que comam até se fartarem nas cidades de vocês. 13 Depois, diante do Senhor, seu Deus, você dirá: "Tirei de minha casa o que é consagrado e dei também aos levitas, aos estrangeiros, aos órfãos, às viúvas, segundo todos os mandamentos que me tens ordenado; nada transgredi dos teus mandamentos, nem deles me esqueci. 14 Dos dízimos não comi quando estava de luto e deles nada tirei estando impuro, nem deles dei para a casa de algum morto; obedeci à voz do Senhor, meu Deus; segundo tudo o que me ordenaste, assim eu fiz. 15 Olha desde a tua santa habitação, desde o céu, e abençoa Israel, o teu povo, e a terra que nos deste, como juraste aos nossos pais, terra que mana leite e mel."

16 — Hoje o Senhor, seu Deus, ordena que vocês cumpram estes estatutos e juízos; portanto, vocês devem guardar e cumpri-los de todo o seu coração e de toda a sua alma. 17 Hoje vocês declararam que o Senhor será o seu Deus, e que vocês andarão nos seus caminhos, guardarão os seus estatutos, os seus mandamentos e os seus juízos e que darão ouvidos à sua voz. 18 E hoje o Senhor declarou que vocês serão o seu povo próprio, como ele prometeu, e que vocês devem guardar todos os seus mandamentos. 19 Assim ele vai exaltá-los em louvor, renome e glória sobre todas as nações que fez e para que vocês sejam povo santo ao Senhor, seu Deus, como ele falou.
