4 Nā reira kahakore noa iho te ture,

kore tonu ake e puta te whakawā;

e karapotia ana hoki te tika e te kino –

nā reira, te putanga o te whakawā, he parori kē.

5 "Titiro atu ki ngā tauiwi, mātakitaki,

kia nui te mīharo!

7 "He hanga whakamataku rātou, he mea wehi;

9 "Ko rātou katoa he mahi nanakia i haere mai ai;

ko ō rātou kanohi whakamau tonu me te mea ko te hau marangai,

me te mea he kirikiri ngā whakarau e aohia ana e rātou.

10 Āe rā, e taunu ana ia ki ngā kīngi,

ā, hei kata māna ngā rangatira.

Ka kata ia ki ngā pā taiepa katoa;

ka opehia ake hoki he puehu e ia, ā, riro tonu i a ia.

11 Kātahi ia ka wheoro ake ānō he hau,

ka whiti atu, ā, ka mahi i te hē;

arā a ia, te tangata ko tōna kaha nei tōna atua."

12 He teka ianei nōnamata riro koe,

e Ihowā, e tōku Atua, e tōku Mea Tapu?

E kore mātou e mate.

Kua waiho ia e koe, e Ihowā, hei whakawā;

kua whakapūmautia ia e koe, e te Kāmaka, hei whiu.

13 He kanohi mā rawa ōu, e kore koe e titiro ki te kino,

e kore anō e āhei kia mātakitaki koe ki te kino.

He aha koe i mātakitaki ai ki te hunga tinihanga,

i whakarongo puku ai i te mea ka horomia e te tangata kino

te tangata e tika rawa ana i a ia?

14 He aha ngā tāngata i meinga ai e koe

kia rite ki ngā ika o te moana, ki ngā mea ngōkingōki

kāhore nei ō rātou kaiwhakahaere tikanga?

15 Ko rātou katoa tangohia ake e ia ki te matau,

ka mau i a ia ki roto ki tāna kupenga,

e kokoa ana ki tāna rou;

nā reira koa ana ia, whakamanamana ana.

16 Koia ia i whakahere ai ki tāna kupenga,

i tahu whakakakara ai ki tāna rou;

nō te mea nā aua mea i whai ngako ai tōna wāhi,

i mōmona ai tāna kai.

17 He mea anō rānei tērā e whakawāteatia ai e ia tāna kupenga,

ā, kore iho e tohungia ngā iwi e patua tonutia ana?

2 ¿Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, clamaré, y no oirás; y daré voces á ti á causa de la violencia, y no salvarás?

3 ¿Por qué me haces ver iniquidad, y haces que mire molestia, y saco y violencia delante de mí, habiendo además quien levante pleito y contienda?

4 Por lo cual la ley es debilitada, y el juicio no sale verdadero: por cuanto el impío ✝1.4 Sal. 22.12.asedia al justo, por eso sale torcido el juicio.

5 Mirad ✝1.5 Hch. 13.41.en las gentes, y ved, y maravillaos pasmosamente; porque obra será hecha en vuestros días, que aun cuando se os contare, no la creeréis.

6 Porque he aquí, yo levanto los Caldeos, gente amarga y presurosa, que camina por la anchura de la tierra para poseer las habitaciones ajenas.

7 Espantosa es y terrible: de ella misma saldrá su derecho y su grandeza.

8 Y serán sus caballos más ligeros que tigres, y más agudos que lobos de tarde; y sus jinetes se multiplicarán: vendrán de lejos sus caballeros, y volarán como águilas que se apresuran á la comida.

9 Toda ella vendrá á la presa: delante su sus caras viento solano; y juntará cautivos como arena.

10 Y escarnecerá de los reyes, y de los príncipes hará burla: reiráse de toda fortaleza, y amontonará polvo, y la tomará.

11 Luego mudará espíritu, y pasará adelante, y ofenderá ✝1.11 Dn. 11.38.atribuyendo esta su potencia á su dios.

12 ✝ 1.12 Dt. 33.27. ¿No eres tú desde el principio, oh Jehová, Dios mío, Santo mío? ✝1.12 Sal. 118.17.No moriremos. Oh Jehová, ✝1.12 Is. 10.5,7.para juicio lo pusiste; y tú, oh Roca, lo fundaste para castigar.

13 Muy limpio eres de ojos para ver el mal, ni puedes ver el agravio: ¿por qué ves los menospreciadores, y callas cuando destruye el impío al más justo que él,

14 Y haces que sean los hombres como los peces de la mar, como reptiles que no tienen señor?

15 Sacará á todos con ✝1.15 Jer. 16.16.anzuelo, cogerálos con su red, y juntarálos en su aljerife: por lo cual se holgará y hará alegrías.

16 ✝ 1.16 ver. 11 Por esto hará sacrificios á su red, y ofrecerá sahumerios á su aljerife: porque con ellos engordó su porción, y engrasó su comida.

17 ¿Vaciará por eso su red, ó tendrá piedad de matar gentes continuamente?
