1 Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.2 Blessed is the one whose sin the LORD does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.4 For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. [^1]5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD." And you forgave the guilt of my sin.6 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them.7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.9 Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.10 Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD's unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him.11 Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!
1 Phước thay cho người nào được tha sự vi phạm mình! Được khỏa lấp tội lỗi mình!2 Phước thay cho người nào Đức Giê-hô-va không kể gian ác cho, Và trong lòng không có sự giả dối!3 Khi tôi nín lặng, các xương cốt tôi tiêu-tàn, Và tôi rên siết trọn ngày;4 Vì ngày và đêm tay Chúa đè nặng trên tôi; Nước bổ thân tôi tiêu hao như bởi khô hạn mùa hè.5 Tôi đã thú tội cùng Chúa, không giấu gian ác tôi; Tôi nói: Tôi sẽ xưng các sự vi phạm tôi cùng Đức Giê-hô-va; Còn Chúa tha tội ác của tôi.6 Bởi cớ ấy phàm người nhơn đức đều cầu nguyện cùng Chúa trong khi có thể gặp Ngài; Quả thật, trong lúc có nước lụt lan ra, thì sẽ chẳng lan đến người.7 Chúa là nơi ẩn núp tôi; Chúa bảo hộ tôi khỏi sự gian truân; Chúa lấy bài hát giải cứu mà vây phủ tôi.8 Ta sẽ dạy dỗ ngươi, chỉ cho ngươi con đường phải đi; Mắt ta sẽ chăm chú ngươi mà khuyên dạy ngươi.9 Chớ như con ngựa và con la, là vật vô tri; Phải dùng hàm khớp và dây cương mới cầm chúng nó được, Bằng chẳng, chúng nó không đến gần ngươi.10 Kẻ ác có nhiều nỗi đau đớn; Nhưng người nào tin cậy nơi Đức Giê-hô-va, sự nhơn từ vây phủ người ấy.11 Hỡi người công bình, hãy vui vẻ và hớn hở nơi Đức Giê-hô-va! Ớ các người có lòng ngay thẳng, hãy reo mừng!
