1 To the courses of the door-keepers, pertained,of the Korahites, Meshelemiah son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph;2 and, Meshelemiah, had sons,Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth;3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.4 And, Obed-edom, had sons,Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Josh the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth;5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai, the eighth,for God had blessed him.6 And, to Shemaiah his son, were born sons, who bare rule to their ancestral house,for, heroes of valour, were they.7 the sons of Shemaiah, were Othni and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were sons of valour,Elihu, and Semachiah.8 All these, were of the sons of Obed-edom, they and their sons and their brethren, able men in strength for the service,sixty-two, pertaining to Obed-edom.9 And, Meshelemiah, had sons, and brethren, sons of valour, eighteen.10 And, Hosah of the sons of Merari, had sons,Shimri the chief, for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father, made him, chief.11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth,all the sons and brethren of Hosah, were thirteen.12 To these, belonged the courses of door-keepers, to the chiefs of the strong men, belonged charges, equally with their brethren,to be in attendance in the house of Yahweh.13 Yea they east lots, as the small so the great, by their ancestral house, for every several gate.14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. And, for Zechariah his son, a discreet counselor, they cast lots, and his lot came out, northward.15 To Obed-edom, southward,and, to his sons, the storehouse.16 To Shuppim and to Hosah, westward, near the refuse-gate, in the causeway that goeth up,one ward as well as another.17 Eastwarddaily, were six,northwarddaily, four, southwarddaily, four, and, for the stores, two and two.18 For the precinctwestward, four, at the causeway, twoby the precinct.19 These, were the courses of the door-keepers, of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.20 And, the Levites, their brethren, were over the treasuries of the house of God, even to the treasuries of hallowed things.21 The sons of Ladanthe sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladanthe ancestral chiefs belonging to Ladan the Gershonite, were Jehieli;22 the sons of Jehieli, Zetham and Joel his brother who were over the treasuries of the house of Yahweh.23 Then came certain of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites.24 And, Shebuel, son of Gershom, son of Moses, was chief ruler over the treasuries.25 And, his brethren pertaining to Eliezer, were Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.26 The same Shelomoth and his brethren, were over all the treasuries of the hallowed things, which David the king and the ancestral chiefs, with the captains of thousands and hundreds and the captains of the army, had hallowed:27 out of the battles and out of the spoil, had they hallowed for the house of Yahweh.28 And, all that Samuel the seer, and Saul son of Kish, and Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah, had hallowed, whosoever had hallowed anything, it was under the direction of Shelomoth, and his brethren.29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons, were for the outward business over Israel,as officers, and as judges.30 Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, sons of valour, one thousand seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel, across the Jordan westward,for all the business of Yahweh, and for the service of the king.31 Of the Hebronites, Jerijah, was chief, of the Hebronites by his generations, by his fathers,in the fortieth year of the reign of David, were they sought out, and there were found among them heroes of valour, in Jazer of Gilead;32 and, his brethren that were heroes of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred, ancestral chiefs,so David the king gave them oversight, over the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manassites, in all the affairs of God, and the affairs of the king.

12 Destes se fizeram as turmas dos porteiros, entre os chefes dos homens da guarda, igualmente com os seus irmãos, para ministrarem na Casa do Senhor. 13 E lançaram sortes, assim os pequenos como os grandes, segundo as casas de seus pais, para cada porta. 14 E caiu a sorte do oriente a Selemias; e lançou-se a sorte por seu filho Zacarias, conselheiro prudente, e saiu-lhe a sorte do norte. 15 E a Obede-Edom, a do sul; e a seus filhos, a casa das tesourarias. 16 A Supim e Hosa, a do ocidente, com a porta Salequete, junto ao caminho da subida; uma guarda defronte de outra guarda. 17 Ao oriente estavam seis levitas; ao norte, quatro por dia; ao sul, quatro por dia; porém às tesourarias, de dois em dois. 18 Em Parbar, ao ocidente, quatro junto ao caminho, dois junto a Parbar. 19 Estas são as turmas dos porteiros dentre os filhos dos coraítas e dentre os filhos de Merari.

20 E, quanto aos levitas, Aías tinha cargo dos tesouros da Casa de Deus e dos tesouros das coisas sagradas. 21 Quanto aos filhos de Ladã, gersonita, foi chefe dos pais Jeieli, 22 dos filhos de Jeieli: Zetã e Joel, seu irmão; estes tinham cargo dos tesouros da Casa do Senhor; 23 dos anramitas, dos izaritas, dos hebronitas, dos ozielitas, 24 Sebuel, filho de Gérson, o filho de Moisés, era maioral dos tesouros; 25 e seus irmãos foram, da banda de Eliézer, Reabias, seu filho, e Isaías, seu filho, e Jorão, seu filho, e Zicri, seu filho, e Selomite, seu filho. 26 Este Selomite e seus irmãos tinham cargo de todos os tesouros das coisas sagradas que o rei Davi, e os chefes dos pais, capitães de milhares, e de centenas, e capitães do exército tinham consagrado; 27 dos despojos das guerras as consagraram, para repararem a Casa do Senhor, 28 como também tudo quanto tinha consagrado Samuel, o vidente, e Saul, filho de Quis, e Abner, filho de Ner, e Joabe, filho de Zeruia; tudo quanto qualquer tinha consagrado estava debaixo da mão de Selomite e seus irmãos.

29 Dos izaritas, Quenanias e seus filhos foram postos sobre Israel para a obra de fora, por oficiais e por juízes; 30 dos hebronitas, foram Hasabias e seus irmãos, homens valentes, mil e setecentos, que tinham cargo dos ofícios em Israel, daquém do Jordão para o ocidente, em toda obra do Senhor e para o serviço do rei; 31 dos hebronitas, era Jerias o chefe dos hebronitas, de suas gerações entre os pais; no ano quarenta do reino de Davi, se buscaram e acharam entre eles varões valentes em Jazer de Gileade. 32 E seus irmãos, homens valentes, dois mil e setecentos, chefes dos pais; e o rei Davi os constituiu sobre os rubenitas, e os gaditas, e a meia tribo dos manassitas, para todos os negócios de Deus e para todos os negócios do rei.
