1 The sons of Levi, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.2 And, the sons of Kohath, Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.3 And, the children of Amram, Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam,and, the sons of Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.4 Eleazar, begat Phinehas, Phinehas, begat Abishua;5 and, Abishua, begat Bukki, and, Bukki, begat Uzzi;6 and, Uzzi, begat Zerahiah, and, Zerahiah, begat Meraioth;7 Meraioth, begat Amariah, and, Amariah, begat Ahitub;8 and, Ahitub, begat Zadok, and, Zadok, begat Ahimaaz;9 and, Ahimaaz, begat Azariah, and, Azariah, begat Johanan,10 and, Johanan, begat Azariah,he, it was who ministered as priest, in the house which Solomon built in Jerusalem;11 and Azariah begat Amariah,and, Amariah, begat Ahitub;12 and, Ahitub, begat Zadok, and, Zadok, begat Shallum;13 and, Shallum, begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah, begat Azariah;14 and, Azariah, begat Seraiah, and, Seraiah, begat Jehozadak;15 and, Jehozadak, departed, when Yahweh carried away Judah and Jerusalem into captivity,by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.16 The sons of Levi, Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.17 And, these, are the names of the sons of Gershom, Libni and Shimei.18 And, the sons of Kohath, were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.19 The sons of Merari, Mahli and Mushi. And, these, are the families of Levi by their fathers:20 To Gershom, pertained Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,21 Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeatherai his son.22 The sons of Kohath, Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son;23 Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son;24 Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.25 And, the sons of Elkanah, Amasai, and Ahimoth.26 As for Elkanah, the sons of Elkanah, Zophai his son, and Nahath his son;27 Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.28 And, the sons of Samuel, the firstborn, , and, the second, Abiah.29 the sons of Merari, Mahli,Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son;30 Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.31 And, these, are they whom David caused to stand, as the servants of song, in the house of Yahweh, when he had given rest unto the ark;32 so they became attendants before the habitation of the tent of meeting, with song, until Solomon built the house of Yahweh, in Jerusalem,and they took their stand according to their prescribed manner over their work.33 Yea, these, are they who stood, with their sons. Of the sons of the Kohathites, Heman the singer, son of Joel, son of Samuel,34 son of Elkanah, son of Jeroham, son of Eliel, son of Toah,35 son of Zuph, son of Elkanah, son of Mahath, son of Amasai:36 son of Elkanah, son of Joel, son of Azariah, son of Zephaniah,37 son of Tahath, son of Assir, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah;38 son of Izhar, son of Kohath, son of Levi, son of Israel.39 And, his brother Asaph who stood on his right hand, Asaph son of Berechiah, son of Shimea,40 son of Michael, son of Baaseiah, son of Malchijah,41 son of Ethni, son of Zerah, son of Adaiah;42 son of Ethan, son of Zimmah, son of Shimei,43 son of Jahath, son of Gershom, son of Levi.44 And, the sons of Merari, their brethren, on the left hand, Ethan son of Kishi, son of Abdi, son of Malluch;45 son of Hashabiah, son of Amaziah, son of Hilkiah,46 son of Amzi, son of Bani, son o Shemer;47 son of Mahli, son of Mushi, son of Merari, son of Levi.48 Howbeit, their brethren, the Levites, were given, for all the work of the habitation, of the house of God.49 But, Aaron and his sons, were to make perfume upon the altar of ascending-sacrifice, and upon the altar of incense, according to all the service of the holy of holies,even for putting a propitiatory-covering over Israel, according go all that, Moses, the servant of God, commanded.50 And, these, are the sons of Aaron,Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,52 Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,53 Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.54 And, these, are their dwelling-places, according to their encampments, in their boundary,pertaining to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, for, theirs, was the lot:55 so they gave them Hebron, in the land of Judah, and the pasture lands thereof, round about it;56 but, the field-land of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb son of Jephunneh.57 And, to the sons of Aaron, gave they, the cities of refugeHebron, and Libnah, with her pasture lands,and Jattir and Eshtemoa, with her pasture lands;58 and Hilen with her pasture lands, Debir, with her pasture lands;59 and Ashan, with her pasture lands, and Bethshemesh, with her pasture lands;60 and, out of the tribe of Benjamin, Geba, with her pasture lands, and Allemeth, with her pasture lands,and Anathoth, with her pasture lands;all their cities, were thirteen cities, throughout their families.61 And, unto the rest of the sons of Kohathof the families of the tribe of Ephraim and of the tribe of Dan, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities.62 And, to the sons of Gershom, by their familiesout of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.63 And, unto seas of Merari, by their familiesout of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, by lot twelve cities.64 So then the sons of Israel gave, to the Levites,the cities and the pasture lands thereof;65 yea they gave, by lot, out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.66 But, as for some of the families of the sons of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot, out of the tribe of Ephraim;67 and they gave unto them the cities of refugeShechem and her pasture lands, in the hill country of Ephraim,and Gezer, with her pasture lands;68 and Jokmeam, with her pasture lands, and Beth-heron, with her pasture lands;69 and Aijalon, with her pasture lands, and Gath-rimmon, with her pasture lands;70 and, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Aner, with her pasture lands, and Bileam, with her pasture lands,for the rest of the family of the sons of Kohath.71 Unto the sons of Gershomout of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan, with her pasture lands,and Ashtaroth, with her pasture lands.72 And, out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh, with her pasture lands,Daberath, with her pasture lands;73 and Ramoth, with her pasture lands, and Anem, with her pasture lands.74 And, out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal, with her pasture lands,and Abdon, with her pasture lands;75 and Hukok, with her pasture lands,and Rehob, with her pasture lands.76 And, out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee, with her pasture lands, and Hammon, with her pasture lands,and Kiryathaim, with her pasture lands.77 Unto the rest of the sons of Merariout of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono, with her pasture lands,Tabor, with her pasture lands.78 And, beyond the Jordan at Jericho, on the east of the Jordanout of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness, with her pasture lands,and Jahzah, with her pasture lands;79 and Kedemoth, with her pasture lands, and Mephaath, with her pasture lands.80 And, out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead, with her pasture lands,and Mahanaim, with her pasture lands;81 and Heshbon, with her pasture lands, and Jazer, with her pasture lands.

1 Os filhos de Levi foram: Gérson, Coate e Merari. 2 E os filhos de Coate: Anrão, e Isar, e Hebrom, e Uziel. 3 E os filhos de Anrão: Arão, e Moisés, e Miriã; e os filhos de Arão: Nadabe, e Abiú, e Eleazar, e Itamar. 4 Eleazar gerou a Fineias, e Fineias gerou a Abisua; 5 e Abisua gerou a Buqui, e Buqui gerou a Uzi; 6 e Uzi gerou a Zeraías, e Zeraías gerou a Meraiote; 7 e Meraiote gerou a Amarias, e Amarias gerou a Aitube; 8 e Aitube gerou a Zadoque, e Zadoque gerou a Aimaás; 9 e Aimaás gerou a Azarias, e Azarias gerou a Joanã; 10 e Joanã gerou a Azarias; este é o que administrou o sacerdócio na casa que Salomão tinha edificado em Jerusalém. 11 E Azarias gerou a Amarias, e Amarias gerou a Aitube; 12 e Aitube gerou a Zadoque, e Zadoque gerou a Salum; 13 e Salum gerou a Hilquias, e Hilquias gerou a Azarias; 14 e Azarias gerou a Seraías, e Seraías gerou a Jeozadaque; 15 e Jeozadaque foi levado cativo, quando o Senhor levou presos a Judá e a Jerusalém pela mão de Nabucodonosor. 16 Os filhos de Levi foram, pois, Gérson, Coate e Merari. 17 E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Gérson: Libni e Simei. 18 E os filhos de Coate: Anrão, e Isar, e Hebrom, e Uziel. 19 Os filhos de Merari: Mali e Musi; estas são as famílias dos levitas, segundo seus pais. 20 De Gérson: Libni, seu filho, Jaate, seu filho, Zima, seu filho, 21 Joá, seu filho, Ido, seu filho, Zerá, seu filho, Jeaterai, seu filho. 22 Os filhos de Coate foram: Aminadabe, seu filho, Corá, seu filho, Assir, seu filho, 23 Elcana, seu filho, Ebiasafe, seu filho, Assir, seu filho, 24 Taate, seu filho, Uriel, seu filho, Uzias, seu filho, e Saul, seu filho. 25 E os filhos de Elcana: Amasai e Aimote. 26 Quanto a Elcana, os filhos de Elcana foram Zofai seu filho, e seu filho Naate, 27 seu filho Eliabe, seu filho Jeroão, seu filho Elcana. 28 E os filhos de Samuel: Vasni, seu primogênito, e o segundo Abias. 29 Os filhos de Merari: Mali, seu filho Libni, seu filho Simei, seu filho Uzá, 30 seu filho Simeia, seu filho Hagias, seu filho Asaías.

31 Estes são, pois, os que Davi constituiu para o ofício do canto na Casa do Senhor, depois que a arca teve repouso. 32 E ministravam diante do tabernáculo da tenda da congregação com cantares, até que Salomão edificou a Casa do Senhor em Jerusalém; e estiveram, segundo o seu costume, no seu ministério. 33 Estes são, pois, os que ali estavam com seus filhos; dos filhos dos coatitas, Hemã, o cantor, filho de Joel, filho de Samuel, 34 filho de Elcana, filho de Jeroão, filho de Eliel, filho de Toá, 35 filho de Zufe, filho de Elcana, filho de Maate, filho de Amasai, 36 filho de Elcana, filho de Joel, filho de Azarias, filho de Sofonias, 37 filho de Taate, filho de Assir, filho de Ebiasafe, filho de Corá, 38 filho de Isar, filho de Coate, filho de Levi, filho de Israel. 39 E seu irmão Asafe estava à sua direita; e era Asafe filho de Berequias, filho de Simeia, 40 filho de Micael, filho de Baaseias, filho de Malquias, 41 filho de Etni, filho de Zerá, filho de Adaías, 42 filho de Etã, filho de Zima, filho de Simei, 43 filho de Jaate, filho de Gérson, filho de Levi. 44 E seus irmãos, os filhos de Merari, estavam à esquerda, a saber: Etã, filho de Quisi, filho de Abdi, filho de Maluque, 45 filho de Hasabias, filho de Amazias, filho de Hilquias, 46 filho de Anzi, filho de Bani, filho de Semer, 47 filho de Mali, filho de Musi, filho de Merari, filho de Levi. 48 E seus irmãos, os levitas, foram postos para todo o ministério do tabernáculo da Casa de Deus.

49 E Arão e seus filhos queimavam perfumes sobre o altar do holocausto e sobre o altar do incenso, para toda obra do lugar santíssimo e para fazer expiação por Israel, conforme tudo quanto Moisés, servo de Deus, tinha ordenado. 50 E estes foram os filhos de Arão: seu filho Eleazar, seu filho Fineias, seu filho Abisua, 51 seu filho Buqui, seu filho Uzi, seu filho Seraías, 52 seu filho Meraiote, seu filho Amarias, seu filho Aitube, 53 seu filho Zadoque, seu filho Aimaás.

54 E estas foram as suas habitações, segundo os seus acampamentos, no seu termo, a saber: dos filhos de Arão, da família dos coatitas, porque neles caiu a sorte, 55 deram-lhes, pois, a Hebrom, na terra de Judá e os seus arrabaldes que a rodeiam. 56 Porém o território da cidade e as suas aldeias deram a Calebe, filho de Jefoné. 57 E aos filhos de Arão deram as cidades de refúgio: Hebrom, e Libna, e os seus arrabaldes, e Jatir, e Estemoa, e os seus arrabaldes, 58 e Hilém, e os seus arrabaldes, e Debir, e os seus arrabaldes, 59 e Asã, e os seus arrabaldes, e Bete-Semes, e os seus arrabaldes; 60 e da tribo de Benjamim, Geba, e os seus arrabaldes, e Alemete, e os seus arrabaldes, e Anatote, e os seus arrabaldes; todas as suas cidades, pelas suas famílias, foram treze cidades.

61 Mas os filhos de Coate, que restaram da família da tribo, da meia tribo, metade de Manassés, por sorte tiveram dez cidades. 62 E os filhos de Gérson, segundo as suas famílias, da tribo de Issacar, e da tribo de Aser, e da tribo de Naftali, e da tribo de Manassés, em Basã, tiveram treze cidades. 63 Os filhos de Merari, segundo as suas famílias, da tribo de Rúben, e da tribo de Gade, e da tribo de Zebulom, por sorte, tiveram doze cidades. 64 Assim, deram os filhos de Israel aos levitas estas cidades e os seus arrabaldes. 65 E deram-lhes, por sorte, estas cidades, da tribo dos filhos de Judá, da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, e da tribo dos filhos de Benjamim, às quais deram os seus nomes. 66 E, quanto ao mais das famílias dos filhos de Coate, as cidades do seu termo se lhes deram da tribo de Efraim. 67 Porque lhes deram as cidades de refúgio, Siquém, e os seus arrabaldes, nas montanhas de Efraim, como também Gezer e os seus arrabaldes, 68 e Jocmeão, e os seus arrabaldes, e Bete-Horom, e seus arrabaldes, 69 e Aijalom, e os seus arrabaldes, e Gate-Rimom, e os seus arrabaldes; 70 e da meia tribo de Manassés, Aner, e os seus arrabaldes, e Bileão, e os seus arrabaldes; estas cidades tiveram os que ficaram da família dos filhos de Coate.

71 Os filhos de Gérson, da família da meia tribo de Manassés, tiveram a Golã, em Basã, e os seus arrabaldes, e Astarote, e os seus arrabaldes; 72 e da tribo de Issacar, Quedes, e os seus arrabaldes, e Daberate, e os seus arrabaldes, 73 e Ramote, e os seus arrabaldes, e Aném, e os seus arrabaldes; 74 e da tribo de Aser, Masal, e os seus arrabaldes, e Abdom, e os seus arrabaldes, 75 e Hucoque, e os seus arrabaldes, e Reobe, e os seus arrabaldes; 76 e da tribo de Naftali, Quedes, em Galileia, e os seus arrabaldes, e Hamom, e os seus arrabaldes, e Quiriataim, e os seus arrabaldes. 77 Os que ficaram dos filhos de Merari, da tribo de Zebulom, tiveram a Rimono, e os seus arrabaldes, a Tabor, e os seus arrabaldes; 78 e dalém do Jordão, da banda de Jericó, ao oriente do Jordão, da tribo de Rúben, a Bezer, no deserto, e os seus arrabaldes, e a Jaza, e os seus arrabaldes, 79 e Quedemote, e os seus arrabaldes, e a Mefaate, e os seus arrabaldes; 80 e da tribo de Gade, Ramote, em Gileade, e os seus arrabaldes, e Maanaim, e os seus arrabaldes, 81 e Hesbom, e os seus arrabaldes, e Jazer, e os seus arrabaldes.
