1 And David called together all the rulers of Israel, the rulers of tribes and the rulers of the courses who waited upon the king,and the rulers of thousands and the rulers of hundreds, and the rulers over all the possessions and substance that belonged to the king and to his sons, with the courtiers and the heroes, even every hero of valour, unto Jerusalem.2 Then David the king rose up on his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren and my people,As for me, it was near my heart, to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and for the footstool of our God, and I made ready to build.3 But, God, said to me, Thou shalt not build a house for my Name,for, a man of war, thou art, and, blood, hast thou shed.4 Howbeit Yahweh, God of Israel, made choice of me, out of all of the house of my father, to become king over Israel unto times age-abiding, for, of Judah, had he made choice to be chief ruler, and, in the house of Judah, the house of my father,and, among the sons of my father, with me, was he well-pleased, to make me king over all Israel;5 and, from among all my sons,for, many sons, hath Yahweh given me,he hath made choice my son, to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of Yahweh, over Israel.6 And he said unto am, Solomon thy sonhe, shall build my house, and my courts,for I have made choice of him that he may be my son, and that, I, may be his father.7 So will I establish his kingdom, unto times age-abiding,if he be strong, to do my commandments and my regulations, as at this day.8 Now, therefore, in the eyes of all Israelthe convocation of Yahweh, and in the ears of our God, Observe and seek all the commandments of Yahweh your God,to the end that ye may possess the good land,and suffer your sons after you to inherit it, unto times age-abiding.9 Thou, therefore, Solomon my son, Know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing soul, for, all hearts, doth Yahweh search, and, every devised purpose, doth he understand,If thou seek him, He will be found of thee, but, if thou forsake him, He will cast thee off for ever.10 See! now, that, Yahweh, hath made choice of thee, to build a house for a sanctuarybe strong and do!11 Then gave David unto Solomon his son, the plan of the porch, and the recesses thereof, and the treasuries thereof, and the upper rooms thereof, and the inner chambers thereof, and the recess for the propitiatory;12 and the plan of all which had come by the spirit to be with him, for the courts of the house of Yahweh, and for all the rooms round about,for the treasuries of the house of God, and for the treasuries of hallowed things;13 and for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of Yahweh,and for all the utensils of the service of the house of Yahweh:14 of gold, by weight, for the gold, for all manner of utensils for each several service,for all manner of utensils of silver, by weight, for all manner of utensils for each several service;15 and a weight, for the lampstands of gold, and their lamps of gold, by the weight of each several lampstand, and the lamps thereof,and for the lampstands of silver by weight, for each lampstand and the lamps thereof, according to the service of each several lampstand.16 And the gold by weight for the tables for setting in array, for each several table,and silver, for the tables of silver;17 and the fleshhooks and the bowls and the cups, pure gold,and for the goblets of gold, by weight for each several goblet, and for the goblets of silver, by weight for each several goblet;18 and, for the altar of incense, refined gold, by weight,and, for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubim, gold, for them that were spreading out, and covering the ark of the covenant of Yahweh:19 the whole in writing, From the hand of Yahweh upon me, to give understanding,all the works of the pattern.20 Then said David, unto Solomon his son, Be strong and bold, and act, thou mayest not fear nor be dismayed,for, Yahweh, God, my God, will be with thee, he will not let thee go, neither will he forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work of the service of the house of Yahweh.21 And there are the courses of the priests and the Levites, for all the service of the house of God,and, with thee, in all manner of work, is every willing, skilful man for any service, also the rulers and all the people, for all thine affairs.

1 Então, Davi convocou em Jerusalém todos os príncipes de Israel, os príncipes das tribos, e os capitães das turmas, que serviam o rei, e os capitães, dos milhares, e os capitães das centenas, e os maiorais de toda a fazenda e possessão do rei, e de seus filhos, como também os eunucos e varões, e todo varão valente. 2 E pôs-se o rei Davi em pé e disse: Ouvi-me, irmãos meus e povo meu: Em meu coração, propus eu edificar uma casa de repouso para a arca do concerto do Senhor e para o escabelo dos pés do nosso Deus, e eu tinha feito o preparo para a edificar. 3 Porém Deus me disse: Não edificarás casa ao meu nome, porque és homem de guerra e derramaste muito sangue. 4 E o Senhor, Deus de Israel, escolheu-me de toda a casa de meu pai, para que eternamente fosse rei sobre Israel; porque a Judá escolheu por príncipe, e a casa de meu pai, na casa de Judá; e entre os filhos de meu pai se agradou de mim para me fazer rei sobre todo o Israel. 5 E, de todos os meus filhos (porque muitos filhos me deu o Senhor), escolheu ele o meu filho Salomão para se assentar no trono do reino do Senhor sobre Israel. 6 E me disse: Teu filho Salomão, ele edificará a minha casa e os meus átrios, porque o escolhi para filho e eu lhe serei por pai. 7 E estabelecerei o seu reino para sempre, se perseverar em cumprir os meus mandamentos e os meus juízos, como até ao dia de hoje. 8 Agora, pois, perante os olhos de todo o Israel, a congregação do Senhor, e perante os ouvidos do nosso Deus, guardai e buscai todos os mandamentos do Senhor, vosso Deus, para que possuais esta boa terra e a façais herdar a vossos filhos depois de vós, para sempre. 9 E tu, meu filho Salomão, conhece o Deus de teu pai e serve-o com um coração perfeito e com uma alma voluntária; porque esquadrinha o Senhor todos os corações e entende todas as imaginações dos pensamentos; se o buscares, será achado de ti; porém, se o deixares, rejeitar-te-á para sempre. 10 Olha, pois, agora, porque o Senhor te escolheu para edificares uma casa para o santuário; esforça-te e faze a obra.

11 E deu Davi a Salomão, seu filho, o risco do alpendre com as suas casarias, e as suas tesourarias, e os seus cenáculos, e as suas recâmaras de dentro, como também da casa do propiciatório. 12 E também o risco de tudo quanto tinha no seu ânimo, a saber: dos átrios da Casa do Senhor, e de todas as câmaras em redor, para os tesouros da Casa de Deus e para os tesouros das coisas sagradas; 13 e das turmas dos sacerdotes, e dos levitas, e de toda obra do ministério da Casa do Senhor, e de todos os utensílios do ministério da Casa do Senhor. 14 O ouro deu, segundo o peso do ouro, para todos os utensílios de cada ministério; também a prata, por peso, para todos os utensílios de prata, para todos os utensílios de cada espécie de serviço; 15 e o peso para os castiçais de ouro e suas candeias de ouro, segundo o peso de cada castiçal e as suas candeias; também para os castiçais de prata, segundo o peso do castiçal e as suas candeias, segundo o uso de cada castiçal; 16 também deu o ouro por peso para as mesas da proposição, para cada mesa, como também a prata para as mesas de prata; 17 e ouro puro para os garfos, e para as bacias, e para as escudelas, e para as taças de ouro, para cada taça seu peso, como também para as taças de prata, para cada taça seu peso; 18 e para o altar do incenso, ouro purificado, por seu peso, como também o ouro para o modelo do carro, a saber, dos querubins, que haviam de estender as asas e cobrir a arca do concerto do Senhor. 19 Tudo isso, disse Davi, por escrito me deram a entender por mandado do Senhor, a saber, todas as obras deste risco.

20 E disse Davi a Salomão, seu filho: Esforça-te, e tem bom ânimo, e faze a obra; não temas, nem te apavores, porque o Senhor Deus, meu Deus, há de ser contigo; não te deixará, nem te desamparará, até que acabes toda a obra do serviço da Casa do Senhor. 21 E eis que aí tens as turmas dos sacerdotes e dos levitas para todo o ministério da Casa de Deus; estão também contigo, para toda obra, voluntários com sabedoria de toda espécie para todo ministério, como também todos os príncipes e todo o povo, para todos os teus mandados.
