1 And thou shalt make an altar, for burning incense, of acacia wood, shalt thou make it:2 a cubit, the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof four square, shall it be,and two cubits, the height thereof, of the same, the horns thereof,3 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof,-and thou shalt make to it a border of gold round about.4 And, two rings of gold, shalt thou make to it, under the border thereof upon the two corners thereof, shalt thou make them on the two sides thereof,so shall they become receptacles for the staves, to lift it therewith.5 And thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood,and overlay them with gold.6 And thou shalt place it before the veil, which is by the ark of the testimony,before the propitiatory which is upon the testimony, where I will meet thee.7 And Aaron shall burn thereon fragrant incense,morning by morning, when he trimmeth the lamps, shall he burn it;8 and, when Aaron lighteth the lamps, between the evenings, shall he burn it,a continual incense before Yahweh, to your generations.9 Ye shall not cause to ascend thereupon strange incense, nor an ascending-sacrifice, nor a meal-offering,and a drink offering, shall ye not pour out thereupon.10 But Aaron shall put a propitiatory-covering upon the horns thereof, once in the year: of the blood of the sin-bearer for propitiatory-coverings, once in the year, shall he put a propitiatory-covering thereupon to your generations, most holy, it is to Yahweh.11 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying12 When thou takest the sum of the sons of Israel, by their numberings, then shall they give every man a propitiatory-covering for his soul to Yahweh, when they are numbered,that there may be among them no plague when they are numbered.13 This, shall they giveevery one that passeth over to them that have been numbereda half-shekel by the shekel of the sanctuary,the shekel is twenty gerahsthe half-shekel, shalt be a heave-offering to Yahweh.14 All who pass over to the numbered, from twenty years old and upwards, shall give the heave-offering of Yahweh.15 The rich, shall not give more, and the poor, shall not give less, than the half-shekel,when they give the heave-offering of Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over your souls.16 So then thou shalt take the silver for the propitiatory-coverings from the sons of Israel, and shalt expend it upon the service of the tent of meeting,thus shall it be for the sons of Israel as a memorial before Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over your souls.17 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying18 And thou shalt make a laver of bronze, and its stand of bronze for bathing,and thou shalt place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and shalt put therein water.19 So shall Aaron and his sons bathe thereat,their hands, and their feet.20 When they enter the tent of meeting, they shall bathe with water so shall they not die,or when they approach unto the altar to minister, to burn as incense an altar-flame to Yahweh:21 so then they shall bathe their hands and their feet and shall not die,and it shall be to them an age-abiding statute, to him and to his seed to their generations.22 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying23 Thou, therefore, take to theeprincipal spices,self-flowing myrrh, five hundred, and fragrant cinnamon, half as much, two hundred and fifty, and, fragrant cane, two hundred and fifty;24 and, cassia, five hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary,and, oil olive, a hin.25 And thou shalt make it an oil for holy anointing, a compounded perfume the work of a perfumer,an oil for holy anointing, shall it be.26 And thou shalt anoint therewith the tent of meeting,and the ark of the testimony;27 and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand, and its utensils,and the incense altar,28 and the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and all its utensils,-and the laver, and its stand.29 So shalt thou hallow them, and they shall be most holy,whosoever toucheth them, shall be holy.30 Aaron also, and his sons, shalt thou anoint,so shalt thou hallow them to minister as priests unto me.31 And unto the sons of Israel, shalt thou speak, saying, An oil for holy anointing, shall this be to me, to your generations.32 Upon the flesh of a common man, shall it not be poured, and according to the proportions thereof, shall ye not make any like it,holy, it is, holy, shall it be to you.33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, and whosoever bestoweth thereof upon a stranger, shall he out off from among his people.34 Then said Yahweh unto MosesTake to thee aromatic spices stacte and onycha, and galbanum,aromatic spices, and pure frankincense,weight for weight, shall it be.35 And thou shalt make of it an incense, a perfume the work of a perfumer,salted, pure, holy.36 And thou shalt beat some of it to powder, and place thereof before the testimony, in the tong of meeting, where I am to meet with thee,most holy, shall it be to you.37 And the incense which thou shalt make, according to the proportions thereof, ye shall not make for yourselves,holy, shall it be to thee, to Yahweh.38 Whosoever shall make like it, to smell of it shall be cut off from among his people.

1 E farás um altar para queimar o incenso; de madeira de cetim o farás. 2 O seu comprimento será de um côvado, e a sua largura, de um côvado; será quadrado, e de dois côvados, a sua altura; e as suas pontas farão uma só peça com ele. 3 E com ouro puro o forrarás, o seu teto e as suas paredes ao redor, e as suas pontas; e lhe farás uma coroa de ouro ao redor. 4 Também lhe farás duas argolas de ouro debaixo da sua coroa; aos dois lados as farás, de ambas as bandas; e serão para lugares dos varais, com que será levado. 5 E os varais farás de madeira de cetim e os forrarás com ouro. 6 E o porás diante do véu que está diante da arca do Testemunho, diante do propiciatório que está sobre o Testemunho, onde me ajuntarei contigo. 7 E Arão sobre ele queimará o incenso das especiarias; cada manhã, quando põe em ordem as lâmpadas, o queimará. 8 E, acendendo Arão as lâmpadas à tarde, o queimará; este será incenso contínuo perante o Senhor pelas vossas gerações. 9 Não oferecereis sobre ele incenso estranho, nem holocausto, nem oferta; nem tampouco derramareis sobre ele libações. 10 E uma vez no ano Arão fará expiação sobre as pontas do altar com o sangue do sacrifício das expiações; uma vez no ano fará expiação sobre ele pelas vossas gerações; santíssimo é ao Senhor.

11 Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo: 12 Quando tomares a soma dos filhos de Israel, conforme a sua conta, cada um deles dará ao Senhor o resgate da sua alma, quando os contares; para que não haja entre eles praga alguma, quando os contares. 13 Isto dará todo aquele que passar ao arrolamento: a metade de um siclo, segundo o siclo do santuário (este siclo é de vinte geras); a metade de um siclo é a oferta ao Senhor. 14 Qualquer que entrar no arrolamento, de vinte anos para cima, dará a oferta ao Senhor. 15 O rico não aumentará, e o pobre não diminuirá da metade do siclo, quando derem a oferta ao Senhor, para fazer expiação por vossas almas. 16 E tomarás o dinheiro das expiações dos filhos de Israel e o darás ao serviço da tenda da congregação; e será para memória aos filhos de Israel diante do Senhor, para fazer expiação por vossas almas.

17 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo: 18 Farás também uma pia de cobre com a sua base de cobre, para lavar; e a porás entre a tenda da congregação e o altar e deitarás água nela. 19 E Arão e seus filhos nela lavarão as suas mãos e os seus pés. 20 Quando entrarem na tenda da congregação, lavar-se-ão com água, para que não morram, ou quando se chegarem ao altar para ministrar, para acender a oferta queimada ao Senhor. 21 Lavarão, pois, as mãos e os pés, para que não morram; e isto lhes será por estatuto perpétuo, a ele e à sua semente nas suas gerações.

22 Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo: 23 Tu, pois, toma para ti das principais especiarias: da mais pura mirra, quinhentos siclos; e de canela aromática, a metade, a saber, duzentos e cinquenta siclos; e de cálamo aromático, duzentos e cinquenta siclos; 24 e de cássia, quinhentos siclos, segundo o siclo do santuário; e de azeite de oliveiras, um him. 25 E disto farás o azeite da santa unção, o perfume composto segundo a obra do perfumista; este será o azeite da santa unção. 26 E com ele ungirás a tenda da congregação, e a arca do Testemunho, 27 e a mesa com todos os seus utensílios, e o castiçal com os seus utensílios, e o altar do incenso, 28 e o altar do holocausto com todos os seus utensílios, e a pia com a sua base. 29 Assim, santificarás estas coisas, para que sejam santíssimas; tudo o que tocar nelas será santo. 30 Também ungirás a Arão e a seus filhos e os santificarás para me administrarem o sacerdócio. 31 E falarás aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Este me será o azeite da santa unção nas vossas gerações. 32 Não se ungirá com ele a carne do homem, nem fareis outro semelhante conforme a sua composição; santo é e será santo para vós. 33 O homem que compuser tal perfume como este, ou que dele puser sobre um estranho, será extirpado dos seus povos.

34 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés: Toma especiarias aromáticas, estoraque, e ônica, e gálbano; estas especiarias aromáticas e incenso puro de igual peso; 35 e disto farás incenso, um perfume segundo a arte do perfumista, temperado, puro e santo; 36 e dele, moendo, o pisarás, e dele porás diante do Testemunho, na tenda da congregação, onde eu virei a ti; coisa santíssima vos será. 37 Porém o incenso que farás conforme a composição deste, não o fareis para vós mesmos; santo será para o Senhor. 38 O homem que fizer tal como este para cheirar será extirpado do seu povo.
