1 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:2 See, I have called by name, Bezaleel, son of Uri, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah;3 and have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and in understanding, and in knowledge and in all manner of workmanship;4 to devise skilful designs, to work in gold and in silver, and in bronze;5 and in the cutting of stones for setting, and in the carving of wood,to work in all manner of workmanship,6 I myself, therefore, lo! I have given with him Oholiab, son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan, and in the heart of every one that is wise-hearted, have I put wisdom,so shall they make all that I have commanded thee7 the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony; and the propitiatory which is thereupon, and all the utensils of the tent;8 and the table, and its utensils, and the pure lampstand, and all its utensils,and the incense altar;9 and the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and all its utensils, and the laver, and its stand;10 and thee cloths of variegated stuff, and the holy garments, for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for ministering as priests;11 and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the holy place, according to all which I have commanded thee, shall they do.12 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses saying13 Thou thyself, therefore, speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, Surely, my sabbaths, shall ye keep, for, a sign it is betwixt me and you to your generations, that ye may know that I Yahweh do hallow you.14 Therefore shall ye keep the sabbath, for holy, it is unto you, he that profaneth it shall be surely put to death; verily whosoever doeth therein any work that souls shall be cut off from the midst of its people:15 Six days, shall work be done, but on the seventh day, is a holy sabbath-keeping of rest unto Yahweh,whosoever doeth work on the sabbath day, shall be, surely put to death.16 Therefore shall the sons of Israel keep the sabbath,by making it a Day of Rest to your generations, as an age-abiding covenant:17 between me and the sons of Israel, a sign it is unto times age-abiding,for in six days, did Yahweh make the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day, he rested, and was refreshed.18 Then gave he unto Moses, as he finished speaking with him in Mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony,tables of stone, written with the finger of God,

1 Depois, falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo: 2 Eis que eu tenho chamado por nome a Bezalel, filho de Uri, filho de Hur, da tribo de Judá, 3 e o enchi do Espírito de Deus, de sabedoria, e de entendimento, e de ciência em todo artifício, 4 para inventar invenções, e trabalhar em ouro, e em prata, e em cobre, 5 e em lavramento de pedras para engastar, e em artifício de madeira, para trabalhar em todo lavor. 6 E eis que eu tenho posto com ele a Aoliabe, filho de Aisamaque, da tribo de Dã, e tenho dado sabedoria ao coração de todo aquele que é sábio de coração, para que façam tudo o que te tenho ordenado, 7 a saber, a tenda da congregação, e a arca do Testemunho, e o propiciatório que estará sobre ela, e todos os móveis da tenda; 8 e a mesa com os seus utensílios, e o castiçal puro com todos os seus utensílios, e o altar do incenso; 9 e o altar do holocausto com todos os seus utensílios e a pia com a sua base; 10 e as vestes do ministério, e as vestes santas de Arão, o sacerdote, e as vestes de seus filhos, para administrarem o sacerdócio; 11 e o azeite da unção e o incenso aromático para o santuário; farão conforme tudo que te tenho mandado.

12 Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo: 13 Tu, pois, fala aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Certamente guardareis meus sábados, porquanto isso é um sinal entre mim e vós nas vossas gerações; para que saibais que eu sou o Senhor, que vos santifica. 14 Portanto, guardareis o sábado, porque santo é para vós; aquele que o profanar certamente morrerá; porque qualquer que nele fizer alguma obra, aquela alma será extirpada do meio do seu povo. 15 Seis dias se fará obra, porém o sétimo dia é o sábado do descanso, santo ao Senhor; qualquer que no dia do sábado fizer obra, certamente morrerá. 16 Guardarão, pois, o sábado os filhos de Israel, celebrando o sábado nas suas gerações por concerto perpétuo. 17 Entre mim e os filhos de Israel será um sinal para sempre; porque em seis dias fez o Senhor os céus e a terra, e, ao sétimo dia, descansou, e restaurou-se. 18 E deu a Moisés (quando acabou de falar com ele no monte Sinai) as duas tábuas do Testemunho, tábuas de pedra, escritas pelo dedo de Deus.
