1 And the LORD said to Moses,2 "Say to the people of Israel, When either a man or a woman makes a special vow, the vow of a Nazirite, to separate himself to the LORD,3 he shall separate himself from wine and strong drink; he shall drink no vinegar made from wine or strong drink, and shall not drink any juice of grapes or eat grapes, fresh or dried.4 All the days of his separation he shall eat nothing that is produced by the grapevine, not even the seeds or the skins.5 "All the days of his vow of separation no razor shall come upon his head; until the time is completed for which he separates himself to the LORD, he shall be holy; he shall let the locks of hair of his head grow long.6 "All the days that he separates himself to the LORD he shall not go near a dead body.7 Neither for his father nor for his mother, nor for brother or sister, if they die, shall he make himself unclean; because his separation to God is upon his head.8 All the days of his separation he is holy to the LORD.9 "And if any man dies very suddenly beside him, and he defiles his consecrated head, then he shall shave his head on the day of his cleansing; on the seventh day he shall shave it.10 On the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest to the door of the tent of meeting,11 and the priest shall offer one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, and make atonement for him, because he sinned by reason of the dead body. And he shall consecrate his head that same day,12 and separate himself to the LORD for the days of his separation, and bring a male lamb a year old for a guilt offering; but the former time shall be void, because his separation was defiled.13 "And this is the law for the Nazirite, when the time of his separation has been completed: he shall be brought to the door of the tent of meeting,14 and he shall offer his gift to the LORD, one male lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering, and one ewe lamb a year old without blemish as a sin offering, and one ram without blemish as a peace offering,15 and a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil, and their cereal offering and their drink offerings.16 And the priest shall present them before the LORD and offer his sin offering and his burnt offering,17 and he shall offer the ram as a sacrifice of peace offering to the LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread; the priest shall offer also its cereal offering and its drink offering.18 And the Nazirite shall shave his consecrated head at the door of the tent of meeting, and shall take the hair from his consecrated head and put it on the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offering.19 And the priest shall take the shoulder of the ram, when it is boiled, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands of the Nazirite, after he has shaven the hair of his consecration,20 and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD; they are a holy portion for the priest, together with the breast that is waved and the thigh that is offered; and after that the Nazirite may drink wine.21 "This is the law for the Nazirite who takes a vow. His offering to the LORD shall be according to his vow as a Nazirite, apart from what else he can afford; in accordance with the vow which he takes, so shall he do according to the law for his separation as a Nazirite."22 The LORD said to Moses,23 "Say to Aaron and his sons, Thus you shall bless the people of Israel: you shall say to them,24 The LORD bless you and keep you:25 The LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you:26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.27 "So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them."

1 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés:

2 — Fale com os israelitas e diga o seguinte: qualquer homem ou mulher que fizer uma promessa especial de ser nazireu e dedicar-se ao serviço do Senhor Deus, 3 não deverá beber vinho nem cerveja. Não deverá beber nenhum tipo de vinho, nem qualquer outra bebida feita de suco de uvas; não comerá uvas frescas nem passas. 4 Enquanto for nazireu, não comerá nada que venha da parreira, nem mesmo as sementes ou as cascas das uvas.

5 — Durante todo o tempo do seu voto de nazireu, não deverá cortar o cabelo, nem fazer a barba. Até acabar o tempo que ele separou para se dedicar ao serviço de Deus, ele se dedicará somente ao Senhor e deixará crescer completamente o cabelo. 6,7 O seu cabelo é um sinal da sua dedicação ao serviço de Deus. Por isso ele não deve se tornar impuro, chegando perto de algum morto, mesmo que seja o corpo do seu pai, ou da sua mãe, ou do seu irmão, ou da sua irmã. 8 Enquanto for nazireu, ele está separado para o serviço de Deus, o Senhor.

9 — Se alguém morrer de repente perto dele e fizer com que o seu cabelo de nazireu fique impuro, então sete dias depois ele deverá rapar a cabeça e fazer a barba e assim ficará puro. 10 No oitavo dia deverá trazer duas rolas ou dois pombinhos para o sacerdote na entrada da Tenda Sagrada. 11 O sacerdote apresentará um deles como oferta para tirar pecados e o outro como oferta que vai ser completamente queimada, para conseguir o perdão do pecado que cometeu quando chegou perto do morto. Naquele mesmo dia o nazireu dedicará de novo o seu cabelo. 12 Então dedicará de novo ao serviço de Deus, o Senhor, o seu tempo como nazireu. Esse tempo em que o seu cabelo se tornou impuro não será contado. E, como oferta para tirar a culpa, ele trará um carneirinho de um ano.

13 — A lei para o nazireu, quando chegar o fim do tempo da sua dedicação ao serviço de Deus, será esta: ele irá até a porta da Tenda 14 e entregará a Deus, o Senhor, três animais sem defeito, isto é, um carneirinho de um ano como sacrifício que vai ser completamente queimado, uma ovelhinha de um ano como sacrifício para tirar pecados e um carneiro como oferta de paz. 15 Ele também oferecerá uma cesta de pães feitos sem fermento, isto é, pães grandes de farinha misturada com azeite e pães pequenos e achatados, com um pouco de azeite passado por cima; e também apresentará as ofertas de cereais e as ofertas de vinho.

16 — O sacerdote apresentará tudo isso diante de Deus, o Senhor, e oferecerá o seu sacrifício para tirar pecados e a oferta que será completamente queimada. 17 Ele apresentará ao Senhor o carneiro como oferta de paz e também oferecerá a cesta de pães feitos sem fermento. Ele dará ainda as ofertas de cereais e as ofertas de vinho. 18 Na porta da Tenda o nazireu rapará a cabeça, pegará o cabelo e o colocará no fogo onde está sendo queimada a oferta de paz.

19 — Então, depois que o quarto dianteiro do carneiro estiver assado, o sacerdote o pegará e colocará nas mãos do nazireu, junto com dois pães tirados da cesta, um grande e um pequeno (Isso será feito depois que o nazireu rapar a cabeça.). 20 Depois o sacerdote apresentará essas coisas como uma oferta especial a Deus, o Senhor. São uma oferta sagrada para o sacerdote junto com o peito e a coxa do carneiro, que, pela lei, pertencem ao sacerdote. Depois disso o nazireu poderá beber vinho.

21 — Essa é a lei para quem faz o voto de dedicar-se como nazireu ao serviço de Deus, o Senhor. Porém, se um nazireu prometer uma oferta além do que o seu voto de nazireu exige, então deverá cumprir o que prometeu.

22 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés:

23 — Fale com Arão e com os seus filhos e diga-lhes que abençoem o povo de Israel do seguinte modo:

24 "Que o Senhor os abençoe e os guarde;

25 que o Senhor os trate com bondade e misericórdia;

26 que o Senhor olhe para vocês com amor e lhes dê a paz."

27 E Deus disse:

— Assim, Arão e os seus filhos pedirão as minhas bênçãos para o povo de Israel, e eu os abençoarei.
