1 O Senhor disse a Moisés:2 "Dirás a toda a assembléia de Israel o seguinte: sede santos, porque eu, o Senhor, vosso Deus, sou santo.3 Cada um de vós respeite a sua mãe e o seu pai, e guarde os meus sábados. Eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus.4 Não vos volteis para os ídolos, e não façais para vós deuses de metal fundido. Eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus.5 Quando oferecerdes ao Senhor um sacrifício pacífico, oferecê-lo-eis de maneira que seja aceito.6 Comer-se-á a vítima no mesmo dia ou no dia seguinte; o que sobrar no terceiro dia será queimado no fogo.7 Se se comer dela no terceiro dia, será uma abominação: o sacrifício não será aceito.8 Quem o comer levará sua iniqüidade, porque terá profanado o que é consagrado ao Senhor: esse será cortado do seu povo.9 Quando fizerdes a ceifa em vossa terra, não cortareis as espigas até os limites de vosso campo, e não recolhereis o que resta a respigar de vossas colheitas.10 Não respigareis tampouco a vossa vinha, nem colhereis os grãos caídos no campo; deixá-los-eis para o pobre e o estrangeiro. Eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus.11 Não furtareis, não usareis de embustes nem de mentiras uns para com os outros.12 Não jurareis falso em meu nome, porque profanaríeis o nome de vosso Deus. Eu sou o Senhor.13 Não oprimirás o teu próximo, e não o despojarás. O salário do teu operário não ficará contigo até o dia seguinte.14 Não amaldiçoarás um surdo; não porás algo como tropeço diante do cego; mas temerás o teu Deus. Eu sou o Senhor.15 Não sereis injustos em vossos juízos: não favorecerás o pobre nem terás complacência com o grande; mas segundo a justiça julgarás o teu próximo.16 Não semearás a difamação no meio de teu povo, nem te apresentarás como testemunha contra a vida do teu próximo. Eu sou o Senhor.17 Não odiarás o teu irmão no teu coração. Repreenderás o teu próximo para que não incorras em pecado por sua causa.18 Não te vingarás; não guardarás rancor contra os filhos de teu povo. Amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo. Eu sou o Senhor.19 Guardareis os meus mandamentos. Não juntarás animais de espécies diferentes. Não semearás no teu campo grãos de espécies diferentes. Não usarás roupas tecidas de duas espécies de fios.20 Se um homem se deitar com uma mulher escrava desposada com outro, mas não resgatada nem posta em liberdade, serão ambos castigados, mas não morrerão, porque ela não era livre.21 Em expiação o homem oferecerá ao Senhor à entrada da tenda de reunião, um carneiro como sacrifício de reparação.22 O sacerdote fará por ele a expiação diante do Senhor com o carneiro do sacrifício de reparação pelo pecado cometido; e o seu pecado lhe será perdoado.23 Quando entrardes na terra e tiverdes plantado toda sorte de árvores frutíferas considerareis os seus primeiros frutos como incircuncisos; eles o serão durante três anos, e não se comerá deles.24 No quarto ano todos os seus frutos serão consagrados ao Senhor com ações de graças.25 No quinto ano comereis de seus frutos para que a árvore continue a produzi-los. Eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus.26 Não comereis nada que contenha sangue. Não praticareis a adivinhação nem a magia.27 Não cortareis o cabelo em redondo, nem rapareis a barba pelos lados.28 Não fareis incisões na vossa carne por um morto, nem fareis figura alguma no vosso corpo. Eu sou o Senhor.29 Não prostituas tua filha, para que a terra não se entregue à prostituição e não se encha de crimes.30 Observareis meus sábados e respeitareis meu santuário. Eu sou o Senhor.31 Não vos dirijais aos espíritas nem aos adivinhos: não os consulteis, para que não sejais contaminados por eles. Eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus.32 Levanta-te diante dos cabelos brancos; honra a pessoa do velho, e teme a teu Deus. Eu sou o Senhor.33 Se um estrangeiro vier habitar convosco na vossa terra, não o oprimireis,34 mas esteja ele entre vós como um compatriota, e tu o amarás como a ti mesmo, porque fostes já estrangeiros no Egito. Eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus.35 Não cometereis injustiça nos juízos, nem na vara, nem no peso, nem na medida.36 Tereis balanças justas, pesos justos, um efá justo e um hin justo. Eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus que vos tirei do Egito.37 Observareis todas as minhas leis e meus mandamentos, e os praticareis. Eu sou o Senhor".

1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy; for I the Eternal your God am holy.3 Ye shall fear, every man, his mother and his father, and my sabbaths shall ye keep: I am the Lord your God.4 Ye shall not turn unto the idols, and molten gods shall ye not make to yourselves: I am the Lord your God.5 And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace–offering unto the Lord, ye shall offer it so that it may be favorably received from you.6 On the same day ye offer it shall it be eaten, and on the morrow: and whatever is left until the third day, shall be burnt with fire.7 And if the intention was that it should be eaten on the third day, it is an abomination, it shall not be favorably received.8 And whoever eateth it shall bear his iniquity; because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the Lord: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather up the gleanings of thy harvest.10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, and the single grapes that drop in thy vineyard shalt thou not gather up; for the poor and the stranger shalt thou leave them: I am the Lord your God.11 Ye shall not steal; neither shall ye deny another’s property in your hands, nor lie one to another.12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, and thou shalt not thus profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.13 Thou shalt not withhold any thing from thy neighbor, nor rob him: there shall not abide with thee the wages of him that is hired, through the night until morning.14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling–block before the blind; but thou shalt be afraid of thy God: I am the Lord.15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the great; in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people; thou shalt not stand idly by the blood of thy neighbor: I am the Lord.17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart: thou shalt indeed rebuke thy neighbor, and not bear sin on account of him.18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people; but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the Lord.19 My statutes shall ye keep; thy cattle shalt thou not let gender with a diverse kind; thy field shalt thou not sow with mingled seeds; and a garment of mingled kinds, of linen and woollen, shall not come upon thee.20 And if a man lie carnally with a woman, that is a bond–maid, betrothed to a man, but who hath neither been redeemed, nor hath her freedom been given her: there shall a scourging be decreed; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.21 And he shall bring his trespass–offering unto the Lord, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: a ram for a trespass–offering.22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass–offering before the Lord for his sin which he hath done; and he shall be forgiven for his sin which he hath committed.23 And when ye come into the land, and plant any kind of tree bearing edible fruit, then shall ye count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you, it shall not be eaten.24 But in the fourth year shall all its fruit be holy for praise–giving unto the Lord.25 And in the fifth year shall ye eat of its fruit, in order that it may increase unto you its productiveness: I am the Lord your God.26 Ye shall not eat upon the blood; nor shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.27 Ye shall not cut round the corners of the hair of your head, neither shalt thou destroy the corners of thy beard.28 And for the dead shall ye not make any incision in your flesh; and any etched–in writing shall you not fix on yourselves: I am the Lord.29 Do not profane thy daughter, to cause her to be a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of incest.30 My sabbaths shall ye keep, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am the Lord.31 Turn not unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards; seek them not, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.32 Before the hoary head shalt thou rise up, and honor the face of the old man; and thou shalt be afraid of thy God: I am the Lord.33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee, in your land, ye shall not vex him.34 As one born in the land among you, shall be unto you the stranger that sojourneth with you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.36 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the Lord your God, who have brought you forth out of the land of Egypt.37 Ye shall therefore observe all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them: I am the Lord.
