1 O Senhor disse a Moisés: "Dirás aos israelitas:2 todo israelita ou estrangeiro que habita em Israel e que sacrificar um de seus filhos a Moloc, será punido de morte. O povo da terra o apedrejará.3 Eu voltarei o meu rosto contra ele e o cortarei do meio de seu povo, porque manchou o meu santuário e profanou o meu santo nome, dando um de seus filhos a Moloc.4 Se o povo da terra não se importar por esse homem ter dado um de seus filhos a Moloc, e se não o matar,5 eu voltarei meu rosto contra ele e contra a sua família, e o cortarei do meio de seu povo com todos aqueles que se prostituem como ele, prestando culto a Moloc.6 Se alguém se dirigir aos espíritas ou aos adivinhos para fornicar com eles, voltarei meu rosto contra esse homem e o cortarei do meio de seu povo.7 Santificai-vos, e sede santos, porque eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus.8 Observai minhas leis e praticai-as. Eu sou o Senhor que vos santifico.9 Quem amaldiçoar o pai ou a mãe será punido de morte. Amaldiçoou o seu pai ou a sua mãe: levará a sua culpa.10 Se um homem cometer adultério com uma mulher casada, com a mulher de seu próximo, o homem e a mulher adúltera serão punidos de morte.11 Se um homem dormir com a mulher de seu pai, descobrindo assim a nudez de seu pai, serão ambos punidos de morte; levarão a sua culpa.12 Se um homem dormir com a sua nora, serão ambos punidos de morte; isso é uma ignomínia, e eles levarão a sua culpa.13 Se um homem dormir com outro homem, como se fosse mulher, ambos cometerão uma coisa abominável. Serão punidos de morte e levarão a sua culpa.14 Se um homem tomar por mulheres a filha e a mãe, cometerá um crime. Serão queimados no fogo, ele e elas, para que não haja tal crime no meio de vós.15 Se um homem tiver comércio com um animal, será punido de morte, e matareis também o animal.16 Se uma mulher se aproximar de um animal para se prostituir com ele, será morta juntamente com o animal. Serão mortos, e levarão a sua iniqüidade.17 Se um homem tomar a sua irmã, filha de seu pai ou de sua mãe, e vir a sua nudez, e ela vir a sua, isso é uma coisa infame. Serão exterminados sob os olhos de seus compatriotas: descobriu a nudez de sua irmã; levará a sua iniqüidade.18 Se um homem dormir com uma mulher durante o tempo de sua menstruação e vir a sua nudez, descobrindo o seu fluxo e descobrindo-o ela mesma, serão ambos cortados do meio de seu povo.19 Não descobrirás a nudez da irmã de tua mãe, nem da irmã de teu pai, porque descobrirás a sua carne; levarão sua iniqüidade.20 Se um homem se deitar com sua tia, ele descobrirá a nudez de seu tio; levarão a sua iniqüidade, e morrerão sem filhos.21 Se um homem tomar a mulher de seu irmão, será uma impureza; ofenderá a honra de seu irmão: não terão filhos.22 Observareis todas as minhas leis e meus mandamentos e os praticareis, a fim de que não vos vomite a terra aonde vos conduzo para aí habitar.23 Não seguireis os costumes da nação que eu expulsar de diante de vós, porque fizeram todas essas coisas e eu as abominei.24 Eu vos disse: possuireis essa terra, a qual vos darei em possessão, terra que mana leite e mel. Eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus, que vos separei dos outros povos.25 Fareis a distinção entre animais puros e impuros, entre as aves puras e impuras, e não vos torneis abomináveis por causa de animais, de aves ou de animais que se arrastam sobre a terra, como vos ensinei a distinguir como impuros.26 Sereis para mim santos, porque eu, o Senhor, sou santo; e vos separei dos outros povos para que sejais meus.27 Qualquer homem ou mulher que evocar os espíritos ou fizer adivinhações, será morto. Serão apedrejados, e levarão sua culpa".

1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,2 And to the children of Israel shalt thou say, Whatsoever man of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech, shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.3 And I will set my face against that man, and I will cut him off from among his people; because of his seed hath he given unto Molech, in order to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.4 And if the people of the land should in any way hide their eyes from that man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, so as not to kill him:5 Then will I set my face against that man, and against his family, and I will cut him off, and all that go astray after him, to go astray after Molech, from among their people.6 And the person that turneth unto such as have familiar spirits, and unto wizards, to go astray after them,––then will I set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am the Lord your God.8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord who sanctify you.9 For every one whatever that curseth his father or his mother shall be put to death: his father or his mother hath he cursed, his blood shall be upon him.10 And if there be a man that committeth adultery with a man’s wife, whoever it be that committeth adultery with his neighbor’s wife: then shall the adulterer be put to death, together with the adulteress.11 And a man that lieth with his father’s wife, hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.12 And if a man lie with his daughter–in–law, both of them shall be put to death: they have committed an unnatural deed; their blood shall be upon them.13 And if a man lie with a male, as they lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.14 And if a man take a woman and her mother, it is incest: in fire shall they burn him and them; that there be no incest among you.15 And a man that lieth with a beast shall be put to death: and the beast also shall ye slay.16 And if a woman approach unto any beast to lie down thereto, then shalt thou kill the woman, and the beast; they shall be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.17 And if a man take his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother, and he see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness: it is a disgraceful deed; and they shall be cut off before the eyes of their people: the nakedness of his sister hath he uncovered; his iniquity shall he bear.18 And if a man lie with a woman suffering of her separation, and uncover her nakedness, and he lay open her fountain, and she uncover the fountain of her blood: then shall both of them be cut off from the midst of their people.19 And the nakedness of thy mother’s sister, or of thy father’s sister shalt thou not uncover; for his near of kin he uncovereth: their iniquity shall they bear.20 And the man that lieth with his uncle’s wife, hath uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: their sin shall they bear; childless shall they die.21 And if a man do take his brother’s wife, it is an abominable act: the nakedness of his brother hath he uncovered; childless shall they remain.22 And keep ye all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them; that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, may not vomit you forth.23 And ye shall not walk in the customs of the nation which I cast out before you; for all these things they committed, and therefore I felt loathing for them.24 And I said unto you, Ye shall possess their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey: I am the Eternal your God, who have separated you from the nations.25 Ye shall therefore make a difference between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean; and ye shall not make your souls abominable by the beast, or by the fowl, or by any manner of thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.26 And ye shall be holy unto me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have separated you from the nations, that ye should be mine.27 And if there be among men or women one that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, they shall be put to death; with stones shall they stone them; their blood shall be upon them.
