1 Guarda-me, ó Deus, porque em ti confio.2 A minha alma disse ao Senhor: Tu és o meu Senhor, a minha bondade não chega à tua presença,3 Mas aos santos que estão na terra, e aos ilustres em quem está todo o meu prazer.4 As dores se multiplicarão àqueles que se apressam a fazer oferendas a outro deus; eu não oferecerei as suas libações de sangue, nem tomarei os seus nomes nos meus lábios.5 O Senhor é a porção da minha herança e do meu cálice; tu sustentas a minha sorte.6 As linhas caem-me em lugares deliciosos: sim, coube-me uma formosa herança.7 Louvarei ao Senhor que me aconselhou; até as minhas entranhas me ensinam de noite.8 Tenho posto o Senhor continuamente diante de mim; por isso que ele está à minha mão direita, nunca vacilarei.9 Portanto está alegre o meu coração e se regozija a minha glória; também a minha carne repousará segura.10 Pois não deixarás a minha alma no inferno, nem permitirás que o teu Santo veja corrupção.11 Far-me-ás ver a vereda da vida; na tua presença há fartura de alegrias; à tua mão direita há delícias perpetuamente.

1 Preserve me, O God, for in thee do I take refuge.2 Thou [my soul] have said to LORD, Thou are my LORD. I have no good beyond thee.3 As for the sanctified who are in the earth, they are the excellent in whom is all my delight.4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts for another [god]. Their drink-offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take their names upon my lips.5 LORD is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup. Thou maintain my lot.6 The lines are fallen to me in pleasant places. Yea, I have a fine heritage.7 I will bless LORD, who has given me counsel. Yea, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.8 I beheld (LXX/NT) LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices. My flesh also shall dwell in hope (LXX/NT).10 For thou will not leave my soul to Sheol, nor will thou allow thy holy man to see corruption.11 Thou made known to (LXX/NT) me the path of life. Thou will fill me of joy with thy countenance (LXX/NT).
