1 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:2 Filho do homem, dirige o teu rosto contra os filhos de Amom, e profetiza contra eles.3 E dize aos filhos de Amom: Ouvi a palavra do Senhor Deus: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Porquanto tu disseste: Ah! Contra o meu santuário, quando foi profanado; e contra a terra de Israel, quando foi assolada; e contra a casa de Judá, quando foi ao cativeiro;4 Portanto, eis que te entregarei em possessão aos do oriente, e em ti estabelecerão os seus acampamentos, e porão em ti as suas moradas; eles comerão os teus frutos, e eles beberão o teu leite.5 E farei de Rabá uma estrebaria de camelos, e dos filhos de Amom um curral de ovelhas; e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.6 Porque assim diz o Senhor Deus: Porquanto bateste com as mãos, e pateaste com os pés, e com todo o desprezo do teu coração te alegraste contra a terra de Israel,7 Portanto, eis que eu tenho estendido a minha mão sobre ti, e te darei por despojo aos gentios, e te arrancarei dentre os povos, e te destruirei dentre as terras, e acabarei de todo contigo; e saberás que eu sou o Senhor.8 Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Porquanto dizem Moabe e Seir: Eis que a casa de Judá é como todos os gentios;9 Portanto, eis que eu abrirei o lado de Moabe desde as cidades, desde as suas cidades da fronteira, a glória da terra, Bete-Jesimote, Baal-Meom, e Quiriataim.10 E aos do oriente, contra os filhos de Amom, o entregarei em possessão, para que não haja memória dos filhos de Amom entre as nações.11 Também executarei juízos sobre Moabe, e saberão que eu sou o Senhor.12 Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Porquanto Edom se houve vingativamente para com a casa de Judá, e se fez culpadíssimo, quando se vingou deles;13 Portanto assim diz o Senhor Deus: Também estenderei a minha mão sobre Edom, e arrancarei dela homens e animais; e a tornarei em deserto, e desde Temã até Dedã cairão à espada.14 E exercerei a minha vingança sobre Edom, pela mão do meu povo de Israel; e farão em Edom segundo a minha ira e segundo o meu furor; e conhecerão a minha vingança, diz o Senhor Deus.15 Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Porquanto os filisteus se houveram vingativamente, e executaram vingança com desprezo de coração, para destruírem com perpétua inimizade,16 Portanto assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que eu estendo a minha mão sobre os filisteus, e arrancarei os quereteus, e destruirei o restante da costa do mar.17 E executarei sobre eles grandes vinganças, com furiosos castigos, e saberão que eu sou o Senhor, quando eu tiver exercido a minha vingança sobre eles.

1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,2 Son of man, set thy face against the sons of ‘Ammon, and prophesy against them;3 And say unto the sons of ‘Ammon, Hear ye the word of the Lord Eternal, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because thou hast said, Aha, concerning my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and concerning the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and concerning the house of Judah, when they went into exile:4 Therefore, behold, I will give thee up to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set up their towers in thee, and place in thee their dwellings; they shall indeed eat thy fruit, and they shall surely drink thy milk.5 And I will change Rabbah into a pasture for camels, and the land of the sons of ‘Ammon into a resting–place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.6 For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Whereas thou didst clap thy hands, and stamp with thy feet, and rejoice with all thy derision in the soul over the land of Israel:7 Therefore, behold, will I stretch out my hand over thee, and will give thee up for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries; I will destroy thee, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.8 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because Moab and Se’ir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations:9 Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth–ha–yeshimoth, Ba’al–me’on, and Kiryathayim,10 Unto the children of the east coming against the sons of ‘Ammon, and I will give them in possession; in order that the sons of ‘Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.11 And on Moab will I execute judgments: and they shall know that I am the Lord.12 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the Edomites have acted revengefully against the house of Judah, and have greatly offended, and have taken vengeance on them:13 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will also stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off from it man and beast; and I will make it a ruined land from Theman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.14 And I will display my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my fury: and they shall feel my vengeance, saith the Lord Eternal.15 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the Philistines have acted in revenge, and have taken vengeance with derision in their soul, to destroy out of ancient enmity:16 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethim, and destroy the remnant of the dwellers of the sea–coast.17 And I will execute on them great vengeances with furious chastisements: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I display my vengeance on them.
