Ascultă, Dumnezeule, strigătele mele, ia aminte la rugăciunea mea!2 Dela capătul pămîntului strig către Tine cu inima mîhnită, şi zic: ,,Du-mă pe stînca pe care n'o pot ajunge, căci este prea înaltă pentru mine!3 Căci Tu eşti un adăpost pentru mine, un turn tare împotriva vrăjmaşului.4 Aş vrea să locuiesc pe vecie în cortul Tău: să alerg la adăpostul aripilor Tale. -5 Căci Tu, Dumnezeule, îmi asculţi juruinţele, Tu îmi dai moştenirea celorce se tem de Numele Tău.6 Tu adaugi zile la zilele împăratului: lungească -i-se anii pe vecie!7 În veci să rămînă el pe scaunul de domnie, înaintea lui Dumnezeu! Fă ca bunătatea şi credincioşia Ta să vegheze asupra lui!8 Atunci voi cînta neîncetat Numele Tău, şi zi de zi îmi voi împlini juruinţele.
