Sionul are temeliile aşezate pe munţii cei sfinţi:2 Domnul iubeşte porţile Sionului mai mult decît toate locaşurile lui Iacov.3 Lucruri pline de slavă au fost spuse despre tine, cetate a lui Dumnezeu! -4 Eu pomenesc Egiptul şi Babilonul printre cei ce Mă cunosc; iată, ţara Filistenilor, Tirul, cu Etiopia: ,,în Sion s'au născut.`` -5 Iar despre Sion este zis: ,,Toţi s'au născut în el,`` şi Cel Prea Înalt îl întăreşte.6 Domnul numără popoarele, scriindu-le: ,,Acolo s'au născut.`` -7 Şi cei ce cîntă şi ceice joacă strigă: ,,Toate izvoarele mele sînt în Tine.``
