1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 2 This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: he shall be brought unto the priest, 3 and the priest shall go out of the camp; and when the priest looketh, and behold, the sore of leprosy is healed in the leper, 4 then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two clean living birds, and cedar-wood, and scarlet, and hyssop. 5 And the priest shall command that one bird be killed in an earthen vessel over running water: 6 as to the living bird — he shall take it, and the cedar-wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water; 7 and he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field. 8 And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his garments, and shave all his hair, and bathe in water, and he shall be clean; and afterwards shall he come into the camp, and shall abide outside his tent seven days. 9 And it shall come to pass on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair, his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows, even all his hair shall he shave, and he shall wash his garments, and shall bathe his flesh in water, and he is clean.

10 And on the eighth day he shall take two he-lambs without blemish, and one yearling ewe-lamb without blemish, and three tenth parts of fine flour mingled with oil, for an oblation, and one log of oil. 11 And the priest that cleanseth him shall present the man that is to be cleansed and those things before Jehovah, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. 12 And the priest shall take one he-lamb, and present it for a trespass-offering, and the log of oil, and wave them as a wave-offering before Jehovah. 13 And he shall slaughter the he-lamb at the place where the sin-offering and the burnt-offering are slaughtered, in a holy place; for as the sin-offering, so the trespass-offering is the priest’s: it is most holy. 14 And the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot. 15 And the priest shall take of the log of oil, and pour it into his, the priest’s, left hand; 16 and the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah. 17 And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put on the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass-offering. 18 And the remainder of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before Jehovah. 19 And the priest shall offer the sin-offering, and make atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterwards shall he slaughter the burnt-offering. 20 And the priest shall offer the burnt-offering and the oblation upon the altar; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

21 But if he be poor, and his hand be not able to get it, then he shall take one lamb for a trespass-offering, for a wave-offering, to make atonement for him; and one tenth part of fine flour mingled with oil for an oblation; and a log of oil, 22 and two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, as his hand may be able to get: the one shall be a sin-offering, and the other a burnt-offering. 23 And he shall bring them on the eighth day of his cleansing unto the priest, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, before Jehovah. 24 And the priest shall take the he-lamb of the trespass-offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them as a wave-offering before Jehovah. 25 And he shall slaughter the he-lamb of the trespass-offering; and the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot. 26 And the priest shall pour of the oil into his, the priest’s, left hand, 27 and the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before Jehovah. 28 And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass-offering. 29 And the remainder of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before Jehovah. 30 And he shall offer one of the turtle-doves, or of the young pigeons, of what his hand was able to get; 31 of what his hand was able to get shall the one be a sin-offering, and the other a burnt-offering, with the oblation; and the priest shall make atonement for him that is to be cleansed before Jehovah. 32 This is the law for him in whom is the sore of leprosy, whose hand cannot get what is regularly prescribed in his cleansing.

33 And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 34 When ye come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put a leprous plague in a house of the land of your possession, 35 then he whose house it is shall come and tell the priest, saying, It seemeth to me like a plague in the house; 36 and the priest shall command that they empty the house before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean; and afterwards the priest shall go in to see the house. 37 And when he looketh on the plague, and behold, the plague is in the walls of the house, greenish or reddish hollows, and their look is deeper than the surface of the wall, 38 then the priest shall go out of the house to the entrance of the house, and shut up the house seven days. 39 And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and when he looketh, and behold, the plague hath spread in the walls of the house, 40 then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which the plague is, and they shall cast them out of the city, in an unclean place. 41 And he shall cause the house to be scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the mortar that they have scraped off, out of the city in an unclean place. 42 And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and they shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house. 43 And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plastered, 44 then the priest shall come, and when he looketh, and behold, the plague hath spread in the house, it is a corroding leprosy in the house: it is unclean. 45 And they shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the mortar of the house, and shall carry them forth out of the city to an unclean place. 46 And he that goeth into the house as long as it is shut up shall be unclean until the even. 47 And he that sleepeth in the house shall wash his garments, and he that eateth in the house shall wash his garments. 48 But if the priest shall come in and look, and behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house hath been plastered, the priest shall pronounce the house clean; for the plague is healed. 49 And he shall take, to purge the house from the defilement, two birds, and cedar-wood, and scarlet, and hyssop; 50 and he shall kill one bird in an earthen vessel over running water; 51 and he shall take the cedar-wood and the hyssop and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the bird that was killed, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times; 52 and he shall purge the house from the defilement with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar-wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet; 53 and he shall let the living bird loose out of the city into the open field; and he shall make atonement for the house, and it is clean.

54 This is the law for every sore of leprosy, and for the scall, 55 and for the leprosy of garments, and of houses, 56 and for the rising, and for the scab, and for the bright spot, 57 to teach when there is uncleanness, and when it is purified: this is the law of leprosy.

Să-l*Mat. 8:2,4.Marcu 1:40,44.Luca 5:12,14;17:14. aducă înaintea preotului. 3 Preotul să iasă afară din tabără și să cerceteze pe cel lepros. Dacă leprosul este tămăduit de rana leprei, 4 preotul să poruncească să se ia, pentru cel ce trebuie curățit, două păsări vii și curate, lemn de cedru*Num. 19:6., cârmâz*Evr. 9:19. și isop*Ps. 51:7.. 5 Preotul să poruncească să se înjunghie una din aceste păsări într-un vas de pământ, în apă curgătoare. 6 Să ia pasărea cea vie, lemnul de cedru, cârmâzul și isopul și să le înmoaie, împreună cu pasărea cea vie, în sângele păsării înjunghiate în apa curgătoare. 7 Să stropească*Evr. 9:13. de șapte ori*2 Împ. 5:10,14. pe cel ce trebuie curățit de lepră. Apoi să-l declare curat și să dea drumul păsării celei vii pe câmp. 8 Cel ce se curățește trebuie să-și*Cap. 13:6. spele hainele, să-și radă tot părul și să se scalde*Cap. 11:25. în apă și va fi curat. Apoi va putea să intre în tabără, dar să rămână*Num. 12:15. șapte zile afară din cort. 9 În ziua a șaptea, să-și radă tot părul, capul, barba și sprâncenele: tot părul să și-l radă; să-și spele hainele și să-și scalde trupul în apă și va fi curat. 10 A opta zi*Mat. 8:4.Marcu 1:44.Luca 5:14., să ia doi miei fără cusur și o oaie de un an fără cusur, trei zecimi dintr-o efă de floarea făinii, ca dar*Cap. 2:1.Num. 15:4,15. de mâncare frământat cu untdelemn, și un log (pahar) de untdelemn. 11 Preotul care face curățirea să aducă înaintea Domnului pe omul care se curățește și toate lucrurile acestea, la ușa cortului întâlnirii. 12 Preotul să ia unul din miei și să-l*Cap. 5:2,18;6:6,7. aducă jertfă pentru vină, împreună cu logul de untdelemn; să le legene*Exod 29:24. într-o parte și într-alta înaintea Domnului, ca dar legănat. 13 Să înjunghie mielul în locul*Exod 29:11. Cap. 1:5,11;4:4,24. unde se înjunghie jertfele de ispășire și arderile-de-tot, adică în Locul Sfânt, căci la jertfa pentru vină, ca și la jertfa de ispășire*Cap. 7:7., dobitocul pentru jertfă va fi al preotului: el este un lucru*Cap. 2:3;7:6;21:22. preasfânt. 14 Preotul să ia din sângele jertfei de ispășire; să pună pe marginea*Exod 29:20. Cap. 8:23. urechii drepte a celui ce se curățește, pe degetul cel mare de la mâna dreaptă a lui și pe degetul cel mare de la piciorul drept. 15 Preotul să ia untdelemn din log și să toarne în palma mâinii stângi. 16 Preotul să-și înmoaie degetul mâinii drepte în untdelemnul din palma mâinii stângi și să stropească din untdelemn de șapte ori cu degetul înaintea Domnului. 17 Din untdelemnul care-i mai rămâne în mână, preotul să pună pe (moalele) marginea urechii drepte a celui ce se curățește, pe degetul cel mare al mâinii drepte și pe degetul cel mare al piciorului drept, deasupra sângelui de la jertfa pentru vină. 18 Iar untdelemnul care-i mai rămâne în mână, preotul să-l pună pe capul celui ce se curățește și preotul să facă*Cap. 4:26. ispășire pentru el înaintea Domnului. 19 Apoi, preotul să aducă jertfa de ispășire*Cap. 5:1;12:7. și să facă ispășire pentru cel ce se curățește de întinăciunea lui. Apoi, să înjunghie arderea-de-tot. 20 Preotul să aducă pe altar arderea-de-tot și darul de mâncare și să facă ispășire pentru omul acesta, și va fi curat. 21 Dacă*Cap. 5:7;12:8. este sărac și nu poate să aducă toate aceste lucruri, atunci să ia un singur miel, care să fie adus ca jertfă pentru vină după ce a fost legănat într-o parte și într-alta, ca dar legănat, și să facă ispășire pentru el. Să ia o zecime din floarea făinii frământată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mâncare, și un log de untdelemn. 22 Să ia și două turturele*Cap. 12:8;15:14,15. sau doi pui de porumbel, după mijloacele lui, unul ca jertfă de ispășire, celălalt ca ardere-de-tot. 23 În ziua a opta, să aducă*Vers. 10,11. pentru curățirea lui toate aceste lucruri la preot, la ușa cortului întâlnirii, înaintea Domnului. 24 Preotul*Vers. 12. să ia mielul pentru jertfa de vină și logul cu untdelemn și să le legene într-o parte și într-alta, ca dar legănat, înaintea Domnului. 25 Să înjunghie mielul jertfei pentru vină. Preotul să ia*Vers. 14. din sângele jertfei pentru vină; să pună pe marginea urechii drepte a celui ce se curățește, pe degetul cel mare al mâinii drepte și pe degetul cel mare al piciorului drept. 26 Preotul să toarne untdelemn în palma mâinii stângi. 27 Preotul să stropească de șapte ori cu degetul de la mâna dreaptă înaintea Domnului din untdelemnul care este în mâna stângă a lui. 28 Iar din untdelemnul din mâna lui, preotul să pună pe marginea urechii drepte a celui ce se curățește, pe degetul cel mare al mâinii drepte și pe degetul cel mare al piciorului drept, în locul unde a pus din sângele jertfei pentru vină. 29 Ce mai rămâne din untdelemn în mână, preotul să-l pună pe capul celui ce se curățește, ca să facă ispășire pentru el înaintea Domnului. 30 Apoi să aducă una*Vers. 22. Cap. 15:15. din turturele sau un pui de porumbel, cum va putea, 31 unul ca jertfă de ispășire și altul ca ardere-de-tot, împreună cu darul de mâncare, și preotul să facă ispășire înaintea Domnului pentru cel ce se curățește. 32 Aceasta este legea pentru curățirea celui ce are o rană de lepră și nu poate să aducă tot ce este rânduit pentru*Vers. 10. curățirea lui."

33 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise și lui Aaron și a zis: 34 „După ce veți intra în țara Canaanului, pe care v-o dau în*Gen. 17:8.Num. 32:22.Deut. 7:1;32:49. stăpânire, dacă voi trimite o rană de lepră pe vreo casă din țara pe care o veți stăpâni, 35 cel cu casa să se ducă să spună preotului și să zică: ‘Mi se pare că este ceva ca o rană*Prov. 3:33.Zah. 5:4. în casa mea.’ 36 Preotul, înainte de a intra ca să cerceteze rana, să poruncească să se deșerte casa, ca nu cumva tot ce este în ea să se facă necurat. După aceea să intre preotul și să cerceteze casa. 37 Preotul să cerceteze rana. Dacă vede că pe zidurile casei sunt niște gropișoare verzui sau roșiatice, care par mai adânci decât zidul, 38 să iasă din casă și, când va ajunge la ușă, să pună să încuie casa șapte zile. 39 În ziua a șaptea, preotul să se întoarcă în ea. Și, dacă va vedea că rana s-a întins pe zidurile casei, 40 să poruncească să se scoată pietrele atinse de rană și să le arunce afară din cetate într-un loc necurat. 41 Să pună să răzăluiască toată partea dinăuntru a casei și tencuiala răzăluită să se arunce afară din cetate, într-un loc necurat. 42 Să ia alte pietre și să le pună în locul celor dintâi și să se ia altă tencuială, ca să se tencuiască din nou casa. 43 Dacă rana se va întoarce și va izbucni din nou în casă, după ce au scos pietrele, după ce au răzăluit și tencuit din nou casa, 44 preotul să se întoarcă în ea. Și, dacă vede că rana s-a întins în casă, este o lepră învechită*Cap. 13:51.Zah. 5:4. în casă: casa este necurată. 45 Să dărâme casa, lemnele și toată tencuiala casei și să scoată aceste lucruri afară din cetate, într-un loc necurat. 46 Cine va intra în casă în tot timpul când era închisă va fi necurat până seara. 47 Cine se va culca în casă să-și spele hainele. Cine va mânca în casă, de asemenea, să-și spele hainele. 48 Dacă preotul care s-a întors în casă vede că rana nu s-a întins după ce a fost tencuită din nou casa, să declare casa curată, căci rana este vindecată. 49 Pentru curățirea casei să ia*Vers. 4. două păsări, lemn de cedru, cârmâz și isop. 50 Să înjunghie una din păsări într-un vas de pământ, într-o apă curgătoare. 51 Să ia lemnul de cedru, isopul, cârmâzul și pasărea cea vie; să le înmoaie în sângele păsării junghiate și în apa curgătoare și să stropească de șapte ori casa. 52 Să curățească casa cu sângele păsării, cu apa curgătoare cu pasărea cea vie, cu lemnul de cedru, cu isopul și cârmâzul. 53 Să dea drumul păsării celei vii afară din cetate, pe câmp. Să facă*Vers. 20. astfel ispășire pentru casă, și ea va fi curată. 54 Aceasta este legea pentru orice rană de lepră și pentru râia*Cap. 13:30. de cap, 55 pentru lepra*Cap. 13:47. de pe haine și de*Vers. 34. pe case, 56 pentru*Cap. 13:2. umflături, pentru pecingini și pentru pete: 57 ea arată*Deut. 24:8.Ezec. 44:23. când un lucru este necurat și când este curat. Aceasta este legea pentru lepră."
