1 And Jehovah said unto me, Go again, love a woman beloved of a friend, and an adulteress, according to the love of Jehovah for the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods, and love raisin-cakes. 2 So I bought her to me for fifteen silver pieces, and for a homer of barley, and a half-homer of barley. 3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be another man’s, and I will also be for thee. 4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without statue, and without ephod and teraphim. 5 Afterwards shall the children of Israel return, and seek Jehovah their God*GodHebrew: Elohim and David their king; and shall turn with fear toward Jehovah and toward his goodness, at the end of the days.

1 Domnul mi-a zis: „Du-te*Cap. 1:2. iarăși și iubește o femeie iubită de un ibovnic*Ier. 3:20. și preacurvă; iubește-o cum iubește Domnul pe copiii lui Israel, care se îndreaptă spre alți dumnezei și care iubesc turtele de stafide!" 2 Mi-am cumpărat-o cu cincisprezece sicli de argint, un omer de orz și un letec de orz. 3 Și i-am zis: „Rămâi*Deut. 21:13. multă vreme numai a mea, nu te deda la curvie, nu mai fi a niciunui alt bărbat, și voi fi și eu la fel cu tine!" 4 Căci copiii lui Israel vor rămâne multă vreme fără împărat*Cap. 10:3., fără căpetenie, fără jertfă, fără chip de idol, fără efod*Exod 28:6. și fără terafimi*Jud. 17:5.. 5 După aceea, copiii lui Israel se vor întoarce și vor căuta*Ier. 50:4,5. Cap. 5:6. pe Domnul Dumnezeul lor și pe împăratul lor David*Ier. 30:9.Ezec. 34:23,24;37:22,24.Is. 2:2.Ier. 30:24.Ezec. 38:8,16.Dan. 2:28.Mica 4:1. și vor tresări la vederea Domnului și a bunătății Lui în vremurile de pe urmă.
