1 Now him that is weak in the faith receive, not to the determining of questions of reasoning. 2 One man is assured that he may eat all things; but the weak eats herbs. 3 Let not him that eats make little of him that eats not; and let not him that eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him. 4 Who art thou that judgest the servant of another? to his own master he stands or falls. And he shall be made to stand; for the Lord is able to make him stand. 5 One man esteems day more than day; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regards the day, regards it to the Lord. And he that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that does not eat, it is to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. 7 For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself. 8 For both if we should live, it is to the Lord we live; and if we should die, it is to the Lord we die: both if we should live then, and if we should die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For to this end Christ has died and lived again, that he might rule over both dead and living. 10 But thou, why judgest thou thy brother? or again, thou, why dost thou make little of thy brother? for we shall all be placed before the judgment-seat of God. 11 For it is written, I live, saith the Lord, that to me shall bow every knee, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then each of us shall give an account concerning himself to God. 13 Let us no longer therefore judge one another; but judge ye this rather, not to put a stumbling-block or a fall-trap before his brother. 14 I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except to him who reckons anything to be unclean, to that man it is unclean. 15 For if on account of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer according to love. Destroy not him with thy meat for whom Christ has died. 16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of; 17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he that in this serves the Christ is acceptable to God and approved of men. 19 So then let us pursue the things which tend to peace, and things whereby one shall build up another. 20 For the sake of meat do not destroy the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil to that man who eats while stumbling in doing so. 21 It is right not to eat meat, nor drink wine, nor do anything in which thy brother stumbles, or is offended, or is weak. 22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Blessed is he who does not judge himself in what he allows. 23 But he that doubts, if he eat, is condemned; because it is not of faith; but whatever is not of faith is sin.

Fiecare să fie deplin încredințat în mintea lui. 6 Cine*Gal. 4:10. face deosebire între zile pentru Domnul o face. Cine nu face deosebire între zile pentru Domnul n-o face. Cine mănâncă pentru Domnul mănâncă, pentru că aduce mulțumiri*1 Cor. 10:31.1 Tim. 4:3. lui Dumnezeu. Cine nu mănâncă pentru Domnul nu mănâncă și aduce și el mulțumiri lui Dumnezeu. 7 În adevăr, niciunul*1 Cor. 6:19,20.Gal. 2:20.1 Tes. 5:10.1 Pet. 4:2. din noi nu trăiește pentru sine și niciunul din noi nu moare pentru sine. 8 Căci, dacă trăim, pentru Domnul trăim și, dacă murim, pentru Domnul murim. Deci, fie că trăim, fie că murim, noi suntem ai Domnului. 9 Căci Hristos*2 Cor. 5:15. pentru aceasta a murit și a înviat, ca să aibă stăpânire*Fapte 10:36. și peste cei morți, și peste cei vii. 10 Dar pentru ce judeci tu pe fratele tău? Sau pentru ce disprețuiești tu pe fratele tău? Căci toți*Mat. 25:31,32.Fapte 10:42;17:31.2 Cor. 5:10.Iuda 14,15. ne vom înfățișa înaintea scaunului de judecată al lui Hristos. 11 Fiindcă este scris: „‘Pe viața*Is. 45:23.Filip. 2:10. Mea Mă jur’, zice Domnul, ‘că orice genunchi se va pleca înaintea Mea și orice limbă va da slavă lui Dumnezeu.’" 12 Așa că fiecare*Mat. 12:36.Gal. 6:5.1 Pet. 4:5. din noi are să dea socoteală despre sine însuși lui Dumnezeu.

13 Să nu ne mai judecăm dar unii pe alții. Ci mai bine judecați să*1 Cor. 8:9,13;10:32. nu faceți nimic care să fie pentru fratele vostru o piatră de poticnire sau un prilej de păcătuire. 14 Eu știu și sunt încredințat în Domnul Isus că*Fapte 10:15. Vers. 2,20.1 Cor. 10:25.1 Tim. 4:4.Tit 1:15. nimic nu este necurat în sine și că un lucru nu este necurat decât pentru cel*1 Cor. 8:7,10. ce crede că este necurat. 15 Dar, dacă faci ca fratele tău să se mâhnească din pricina unei mâncări, nu mai umbli în dragoste! Nu*1 Cor. 8:11. nimici, prin mâncarea ta, pe acela pentru care a murit Hristos! 16 Nu*Cap. 12:17. faceți ca binele vostru să fie grăit de rău. 17 Căci*1 Cor. 8:8. Împărăția lui Dumnezeu nu este mâncare și băutură, ci neprihănire, pace și bucurie în Duhul Sfânt. 18 Cine slujește lui Hristos în felul acesta este plăcut*2 Cor. 8:21. lui Dumnezeu și cinstit de oameni. 19 Așadar*Ps. 34:14. Cap. 12:18. să urmărim lucrurile care duc la pacea și zidirea noastră*Cap. 15:2.1 Cor. 14:12.1 Tes. 5:11.. 20 Să nu nimicești pentru*Vers. 15. o mâncare lucrul lui Dumnezeu. Drept vorbind, toate*Mat. 15:11.Fapte 10:15. Vers. 14.Tit 1:15. lucrurile sunt curate. Totuși*1 Cor. 8:9-12. a mânca din ele, când faptul acesta ajunge pentru altul un prilej de cădere, este rău. 21 Bine este să nu mănânci carne*1 Cor. 8:13., să nu bei vin și să te ferești de orice lucru care poate fi pentru fratele tău un prilej de cădere, de păcătuire sau de slăbire. 22 Încredințarea pe care o ai, păstreaz-o pentru tine, înaintea lui Dumnezeu. Ferice*1 Ioan 3:21. de cel ce nu se osândește singur în ce găsește bine. 23 Dar cine se îndoiește și mănâncă este osândit, pentru că nu mănâncă din încredințare. Tot*Tit 1:15. ce nu vine din încredințare e păcat.
