1 There is then now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent his own Son, in likeness of flesh of sin, and for sin, has condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law should be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to flesh but according to Spirit. 5 For they that are according to flesh mind the things of the flesh; and they that are according to Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit life and peace. 7 Because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God; for neither indeed can it be: 8 and they that are in flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in flesh but in Spirit, if indeed God’s Spirit dwell in you; but if any one has not the Spirit of Christ he is not of him:

10 but if Christ be in you, the body is dead on account of sin, but the Spirit life on account of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that has raised up Jesus from among the dead dwell in you, he that has raised up Christ from among the dead shall quicken your mortal bodies also on account of his Spirit which dwells in you. 12 So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to flesh; 13 for if ye live according to flesh, ye are about to die; but if, by the Spirit, ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live: 14 for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For ye have not received a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye have received a spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.

17 And if children, heirs also: heirs of God, and Christ’s joint heirs; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the coming glory to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious looking out of the creature expects the revelation of the sons of God: 20 for the creature has been made subject to vanity, not of its will, but by reason of him who has subjected the same, in hope 21 that the creature itself also shall be set free from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans together and travails in pain together until now. 23 And not only that, but even we ourselves, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, we also ourselves groan in ourselves, awaiting adoption, that is the redemption of our body. 24 For we have been saved in hope; but hope seen is not hope; for what any one sees, why does he also hope? 25 But if what we see not we hope, we expect in patience.

26 And in like manner the Spirit joins also its help to our weakness; for we do not know what we should pray for as is fitting, but the Spirit itself makes intercession with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 But he who searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for saints according to God. 28 But we do know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose.

29 Because whom he has foreknown, he has also predestinated to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he should be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 But whom he has predestinated, these also he has called; and whom he has called, these also he has justified; but whom he has justified, these also he has glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who against us? 32 He who, yea, has not spared his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him grant us all things? 33 Who shall bring an accusation against God’s elect? It is God who justifies: 34 who is he that condemns? It is Christ who has died, but rather has been also raised up; who is also at the right hand of God; who also intercedes for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 According as it is written, For thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we have been reckoned as sheep for slaughter. 37 But in all these things we more than conquer through him that has loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Dacă n-are cineva Duhul*Ioan 3:34.Gal. 4:6.Filip. 1:19.1 Pet. 1:11. lui Hristos, nu este al Lui. 10 Și dacă Hristos este în voi, trupul vostru, da, este supus morții din pricina păcatului, dar duhul vostru este viu din pricina neprihănirii. 11 Și dacă Duhul Celui*Fapte 2:24. ce a înviat pe Isus dintre cei morți locuiește în voi, Cel*Cap. 6:4,5.1 Cor. 6:14.2 Cor. 4:14.Efes. 2:5. ce a înviat pe Hristos Isus din morți va învia și trupurile voastre muritoare din pricina Duhului Său, care locuiește în voi.

12 Așadar*Cap. 6:7,14., fraților, noi nu mai datorăm nimic firii pământești, ca să trăim după îndemnurile ei. 13 Dacă trăiți*Vers. 6.Gal. 6:8. după îndemnurile ei, veți muri, dar, dacă, prin Duhul, faceți să moară*Efes. 4:22.Col. 3:5. faptele trupului, veți trăi. 14 Căci toți cei ce sunt călăuziți*Gal. 5:18. de Duhul lui Dumnezeu sunt fii ai lui Dumnezeu. 15 Și voi n-ați*1 Cor. 2:12.Evr. 2:15. primit un duh de robie, ca să mai aveți frică*2 Tim. 1:7.1 Ioan 4:18., ci ați primit un duh*Is. 56:6.Gal. 4:5,6. de înfiere, care ne face să strigăm: „Ava*Marcu 14:36.!", adică „Tată!" 16 Însuși*2 Cor. 1:22;5:5.Efes. 1:13;4:30. Duhul adeverește împreună cu duhul nostru că suntem copii ai lui Dumnezeu. 17 Și, dacă suntem copii, suntem și moștenitori*Fapte 26:18.Gal. 4:7.: moștenitori ai lui Dumnezeu și împreună-moștenitori cu Hristos, dacă suferim*Fapte 14:22.Filip. 1:29.2 Tim. 2:11,12. cu adevărat împreună cu El, ca să fim și proslăviți împreună cu El. 18 Eu socotesc că suferințele*2 Cor. 4:17.1 Pet. 1:6,7;4:13. din vremea de acum nu sunt vrednice să fie puse alături cu slava viitoare, care are să fie descoperită față de noi. 19 De asemenea, și firea*2 Pet. 3:13. așteaptă cu o dorință înfocată descoperirea*1 Ioan 3:2.Gen. 3:19. fiilor lui Dumnezeu. 20 Căci firea*Vers. 22. a fost supusă deșertăciunii – nu de voie, ci din pricina celui ce a supus-o – cu nădejdea însă 21 că și ea va fi izbăvită din robia stricăciunii, ca să aibă parte de slobozenia slavei copiilor lui Dumnezeu. 22 Dar știm că, până în ziua de azi, toată firea suspină*Ier. 12:11. și suferă durerile nașterii. 23 Și nu numai ea, dar și noi, care avem cele dintâi roade*2 Cor. 5:5.Efes. 1:14. ale Duhului, suspinăm*2 Cor. 5:2,4. în noi și așteptăm*Luca 20:36. înfierea, adică răscumpărarea trupului*Luca 21:28.Efes. 4:30. nostru. 24 Căci în nădejdea*2 Cor. 5:7.Evr. 11:1. aceasta am fost mântuiți. Dar o nădejde care se vede nu mai este nădejde, pentru că ce se vede se mai poate nădăjdui? 25 Pe când, dacă nădăjduim ce nu vedem, așteptăm cu răbdare. 26 Și tot astfel și Duhul ne ajută în slăbiciunea noastră, căci nu*Mat. 20:22.Iac. 4:3. știm cum trebuie să ne rugăm. Dar Însuși*Zah. 12:10.Efes. 6:18. Duhul mijlocește pentru noi cu suspine negrăite. 27 Și Cel*1 Cron. 28:9.Ps. 7:9.Prov. 17:3.Ier. 11:20;17:10;20:12.Fapte 1:24.1 Tes. 2:4.Apoc. 2:23. ce cercetează inimile știe care este năzuința Duhului, pentru că El mijlocește pentru sfinți după*1 Ioan 5:14. voia lui Dumnezeu.

28 De altă parte, știm că toate lucrurile lucrează împreună spre binele celor ce iubesc pe Dumnezeu, și anume spre binele celor ce*Cap. 9:11,23,24.2 Tim. 1:9. sunt chemați după planul Său. 29 Căci, pe aceia pe care i-a cunoscut mai*Exod 33:12,17.Ps. 1:6.Ier. 1:5.Mat. 7:23. Cap. 11:2.2 Tim. 2:19.1 Pet. 1:2. dinainte, i-a și hotărât mai*Efes. 1:5,11. dinainte să*Ioan 17:22.2 Cor. 3:18.Filip. 3:21.1 Ioan 3:2. fie asemenea chipului Fiului Său, pentru ca*Col. 1:15,18.Evr. 1:6.Apoc. 1:5. El să fie Cel Întâi Născut dintre mai mulți frați. 30 Și pe aceia pe care i-a hotărât mai dinainte, i-a și chemat*Cap. 1:6;9:24.Efes. 4:4.Evr. 9:15.1 Pet. 2:9., și pe aceia pe care i-a chemat, i-a și socotit neprihăniți*1 Cor. 6:11., iar pe aceia pe care i-a socotit neprihăniți, i-a și proslăvit*Ioan 17:22.Efes. 2:6.. 31 Deci ce vom zice noi în fața tuturor acestor lucruri? Dacă Dumnezeu este pentru noi, cine va fi împotriva noastră? 32 El*Cap. 5:6,10., care n-a cruțat nici chiar pe Fiul Său, ci L-a*Cap. 4:25. dat pentru noi toți, cum nu ne va da fără plată, împreună cu El, toate lucrurile? 33 Cine va ridica pâră împotriva aleșilor lui Dumnezeu? Dumnezeu*Is. 50:8,9.Apoc. 12:10,11. este Acela care-i socotește neprihăniți! 34 Cine-i*Iov 34:29. va osândi? Hristos a murit! Ba mai mult, El a și înviat, stă*Marcu 16:19.Col. 3:1.Evr. 1:3;8:1;12:2.1 Pet. 3:22. la dreapta lui Dumnezeu și*Evr. 7:25;9:24.1 Ioan 2:1. mijlocește pentru noi! 35 Cine ne va despărți pe noi de dragostea lui Hristos? Necazul sau strâmtorarea sau prigonirea sau foametea sau lipsa de îmbrăcăminte sau primejdia sau sabia? 36 După cum este scris: „Din*Ps. 44:22.1 Cor. 15:30,31.2 Cor. 4:11. pricina Ta suntem dați morții toată ziua; suntem socotiți ca niște oi de tăiat." 37 Totuși*1 Cor. 15:57.2 Cor. 2:14.1 Ioan 4:4;5:4,5.Apoc. 12:11. în toate aceste lucruri noi suntem mai mult decât biruitori, prin Acela care ne-a iubit. 38 Căci sunt bine încredințat că nici moartea, nici viața, nici îngerii, nici stăpânirile*Efes. 1:21;6:12.Col. 1:16;2:15.1 Pet. 3:22., nici puterile, nici lucrurile de acum, nici cele viitoare, 39 nici înălțimea, nici adâncimea, nici o altă făptură*8:39 Sau: zidire. nu vor fi în stare să ne despartă de dragostea lui Dumnezeu, care este în Isus Hristos, Domnul nostru.
