1 Mi levas miajn okulojn al la montoj:

De kie venas al mi helpo?

2 Mia helpo venas de la Eternulo,

Kiu kreis la ĉielon kaj la teron.

3 Li ne lasos vian piedon falpuŝiĝi;

Via gardanto ne dormetas.

4 Jen ne dormetas kaj ne dormas

La gardanto de Izrael.

5 La Eternulo estas via gardanto;

La Eternulo estas via ombro ĉe via dekstra mano.

6 En la tago la suno vin ne frapos,

Nek la luno en la nokto.

7 La Eternulo vin gardos de ĉia malbono,

Li gardos vian animon.

8 La Eternulo gardos vian eliron kaj eniron,

De nun kaj eterne.

A Song of Ascents.

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains:

From whence shall my help come?

2 My help cometh from Jehovah,

Who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:

He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel

Will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 Jehovah is thy keeper:

Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day,

Nor the moon by night.

7 Jehovah will keep thee from all evil;

He will keep thy soul.

8 Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in
