1 Salmo di Davide. IL Signore ha detto al mio Signore; Siedi alla mia destra, Infino a tanto che io abbia posti i tuoi nemici per iscannello de’ tuoi piedi.2 Il Signore manderà fuor di Sion lo scettro della tua potenza, Dicendo: Signoreggia in mezzo de’ tuoi nemici.3 Il tuo popolo sarà tutto volenteroso, Nel giorno che tu rassegnerai il tuo esercito, nel magnifico santuario; La rugiada della tua gioventù ti sarà prodotta dalla matrice dell’alba.4 Il Signore ha giurato, e non si pentirà: Tu sei sacerdote in eterno, Secondo l’ordine di Melchisedec5 Il Signore sarà alla tua destra. Questo mio Signore trafiggerà i re nel giorno della sua ira.6 Egli farà giudicio fra le genti, egli empierà ogni cosa di corpi morti; Egli trafiggerà il capo che regna sopra molti paesi.7 Egli berrà del torrente tra via; E perciò alzerà il capo

The affirmation of Jehovah to my Lord: `Sit at My right hand, Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.`2 The rod of thy strength doth Jehovah send from Zion, Rule in the midst of thine enemies.3 Thy people [are] free-will gifts in the day of Thy strength, in the honours of holiness, From the womb, from the morning, Thou hast the dew of thy youth.4 Jehovah hath sworn, and doth not repent, `Thou [art] a priest to the age, According to the order of Melchizedek.`5 The Lord on thy right hand smote kings In the day of His anger.6 He doth judge among the nations, He hath completed the carcases, Hath smitten the head over the mighty earth.7 From a brook in the way he drinketh, Therefore he doth lift up the head!
