1 Salmo di Asaf. IDDIO è presente nella raunanza di Dio; Egli giudica nel mezzo degl’iddii.2 Infino a quando giudicherete voi ingiustamente, Ed avrete riguardo alla qualità delle persone degli empi? Sela.3 Fate ragione al misero ed all’orfano; Fate diritto all’afflitto ed al povero.4 Liberate il misero ed il bisognoso; Riscotetelo dalla mano degli empi.5 Essi non hanno alcun conoscimento, nè senno; Camminano in tenebre; Tutti i fondamenti della terra sono smossi6 Io ho detto: Voi siete dii; E tutti siete figliuoli dell’Altissimo.7 Tuttavolta voi morrete come un altro uomo, E caderete come qualunque altro de’ principi.8 Levati, o Dio, giudica la terra; Perciocchè tu devi essere il possessore di tutte le genti

Selah.3 Judge ye the weak and fatherless, The afflicted and the poor declare righteous.4 Let the weak and needy escape, From the hand of the wicked deliver them.5 They knew not, nor do they understand, In darkness they walk habitually, Moved are all the foundations of earth.6 I -- I have said, `Gods ye [are], And sons of the Most High -- all of you,7 But as man ye die, and as one of the heads ye fall,8 Rise, O God, judge the earth, For Thou hast inheritance among all the nations!
