1 Deus preside a assembleia dos céus;
no meio dos seres celestiais, anuncia seu julgamento:
2 "Até quando tomarão decisões injustas
que favorecem a causa dos perversos?

3 "Façam justiça ao pobre e ao órfão,
defendam os direitos do oprimido e do desamparado.
4 Livrem o pobre e o necessitado,
libertem-nos das garras dos perversos.
5 Esses opressores nada entendem;
são completos ignorantes!
Andam sem rumo na escuridão,
enquanto os alicerces da terra estremecem.
6 Eu digo: ‘Vocês são deuses,
são todos filhos do Altíssimo.
7 Morrerão, porém, como simples mortais
e cairão como qualquer governante’".
8 Levanta-te, ó Deus, e julga a terra,
pois todas as nações te pertencem.
