1 O Senhor disse a Moisés: 2 "Anuncia ao povo de Israel as várias festividades anuais que têm de celebrar para o Senhor. Serão ocasiões em que todo o Israel se reunirá para me adorar.

3 Trata-se de celebrações a realizar além dos vossos sábados, o sétimo dia de cada semana, os quais serão sempre dias de solene repouso em todas as casas, ocasiões de reunião para adorar e descansar das atividades da semana.

4 São pois estas as santas festividades que deverão ser observadas em cada ano. 5 A Páscoa do Senhor será celebrada no dia 14 do primeiro mês*23.5 Mês de Abibe ou Nisan. Entre a lua nova do mês de março e o mês de abril., ao cair da tarde. 6 A festa dos pães sem fermento começará no dia seguinte ao da Páscoa. Durante sete dias devem comer pão sem fermento. 7 No primeiro dia desta celebração convocarão o povo para adorar, e deverá cessar todo o trabalho comum. 8 Farão o mesmo no sétimo dia da celebração. Nos outros dias farão uma oferta queimada ao Senhor."

9 O Senhor disse a Moisés 10 que comunicasse aos israelitas o seguinte: "Quando chegarem à terra que eu vos der, e fizerem as primeiras colheitas, trarão o molho da primeira ceifa ao sacerdote 11 no dia seguinte ao sábado. Ele o moverá perante o Senhor, num gesto de oferta, e será aceite pelo Senhor como oferta. 12 Nesse mesmo dia, oferecerão um cordeiro macho de um ano sem defeito como holocausto. 13 E também uma oferta de cereais, que consistirá em 4,4 litros de farinha fina amassada com azeite, a ser oferecida ao Senhor pelo fogo. Ser-lhe-á de grande agrado. Ofereçam também uma oferta de aproximadamente um litro de vinho. 14 Enquanto isto não for feito não devem comer nada das vossas colheitas; nem pão, nem trigo tostado, nem espigas verdes. Isto é uma lei imutável para a nação.

15-17 Cinquenta dias depois trarão ao Senhor como oferta uma amostra da vossa nova colheita. Consistirá em dois pães da vossa casa a serem movimentados perante o Senhor com o gesto de apresentação cerimonial. Cozam este pão com 4,4 litros de farinha fina contendo fermento. É uma oferta ao Senhor dos primeiros frutos colhidos. 18 A acompanhar o pão e o vinho, deverão sacrificar ao Senhor, como ofertas queimadas, sete cordeiros de um ano, sem defeito, um novilho e dois carneiros. Serão ofertas que passam pelo fogo, de grande aceitação por parte do Senhor. 19 Deverão oferecer também um bode para a expiação do pecado, e dois cordeiros machos de um ano, como oferta de paz.

20 Os sacerdotes movimentarão estas ofertas perante o Senhor ao mesmo tempo que os pães, representando os primeiros frutos da colheita. São coisas santas, para o Senhor, e serão dadas aos sacerdotes para seu alimento. 21 Esse dia será anunciado como tempo de santa convocação para todo o povo. Nenhum trabalho farão nesse dia. Isto é uma lei que deve ser respeitada por todas as gerações.

22 Lembrem-se de que quando ceifarem os vossos campos não deverão segar até ao extremo dos cantos do terreno, nem apanhar os grãos que tiverem caído; deixem isso para os pobres e para os estrangeiros que vivam convosco, os quais não têm uma terra a que pertençam. Eu sou o Senhor, o vosso Deus."

23 O Senhor disse a Moisés 24 que comunicasse aos israelitas o seguinte: "O primeiro dia do sétimo mês é uma ocasião solene para todo o povo se encontrar e juntamente adorarem. É um tempo de recordação e deve ser anunciado com forte som de trombetas. 25 Não façam qualquer espécie de trabalho nesse dia de celebração; e ofereçam um sacrifício, uma oferta queimada ao Senhor."

26 O Senhor disse a Moisés: 27 "O dia da expiação será no dia 10 do sétimo mês. Todo o povo deverá juntar-se perante o Senhor e contristar-se pelo pecado. Deverão oferecer ofertas queimadas ao Senhor. 28 Não farão trabalho algum nesse dia, porque é um dia especial para fazer expiação perante o Senhor, vosso Deus. 29 Alguém que não passe esse dia em arrependimento e contrição pelo seu pecado deverá ser excomungado do seu povo. 30 E cortarei do seu povo aquele que fizer alguma espécie de trabalho nesse dia. 31 Isto é uma lei em Israel para todas as gerações onde quer que se encontrem. 32 Porque este é um sábado de solene repouso e nele humilharão as vossas almas que estarão arrependidas. Este tempo de expiação começa na tarde anterior e vai até ao anoitecer seguinte."

33 O Senhor disse a Moisés 34 que comunicasse aos israelitas o seguinte: "No dia 15 do sétimo mês é a festa dos abrigos (tabernáculos) que será celebrada perante o Senhor durante sete dias. 35 No primeiro dia haverá uma santa assembleia de todo o povo. Não farão nenhum trabalho nesse dia. 36 E em cada um dos sete dias de celebração deverão sacrificar uma oferta queimada ao Senhor. No oitavo dia será convocada nova assembleia de todo o povo, em que haverá novamente um sacrifício queimado ao Senhor. É uma festividade a realizar com alegria; não será permitido realizar nenhuma espécie de trabalho.

37 Estas são pois as festividades regulares anuais, as santas convocações de todo o povo, em que se farão ofertas queimadas ao Senhor através do fogo. Estas celebrações anuais são a adicionar aos vossos dias de repouso regular semanal. 38 E os sacrifícios feitos durante estas solenidades são a acrescentar às vossas dádivas regulares e ao cumprimento normal dos vossos votos.

39 No dia 15 do sétimo mês, no fim das vossas colheitas, será a ocasião de celebrarem esta festividade de sete dias perante o Senhor. Não se esqueçam de que o primeiro e o último desses dias é de repouso solene. 40 No primeiro dia trarão ramos de árvores de adorno, ramos de palmeiras, e outros ramos cheios de folhas, como de salgueiros que crescem junto aos ribeiros, e com eles construirão cabanas, alegrando-se perante o Senhor, vosso Deus, durante sete dias. 41 Esta festa anual de sete dias, no sétimo mês do ano, é um mandamento a observar por todas as gerações. 42 Durante esses dias, todos os israelitas de origem devem viver nesses abrigos. 43 A finalidade é lembrar ao povo de Israel, geração após geração, que vos resgatei do Egito e vos fiz habitar em tendas. Eu sou o Senhor, o vosso Deus."

44 E foi assim que Moisés anunciou todas estas celebrações anuais dedicadas ao Senhor pelo povo de Israel.

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. 3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. 5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD’s passover. 6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. 7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 8 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

9 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:*23.10 sheaf: or, handful: Heb. omer 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD. 13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. 14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. 17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD. 18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD. 19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. 21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.

23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. 25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

26 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. 28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. 29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. 30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. 31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.*23.32 celebrate: Heb. rest

33 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. 35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.*23.36 solemn…: Heb. day of restraint 37 These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: 38 Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD. 39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. 40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.*23.40 boughs of goodly trees: Heb. fruit of, etc 41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: 43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. 44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.
