1 Dies sind die Satzungen und Rechte, die ihr beobachten sollt, um sie zu tun im Lande, das der HERR, deiner Väter Gott, dir zum Besitz gegeben hat, solange ihr auf Erden lebet. 2 Zerstöret alle Orte, wo die Heiden, die ihr beerben werdet, ihren Göttern gedient haben, es sei auf hohen Bergen oder auf Hügeln oder unter allerlei grünen Bäumen. 3 Und reißet ihre Altäre um und zerbrechet ihre Bildsäulen und verbrennet ihre Astartenbilder mit Feuer und zerschlaget die geschnitzten Bilder ihrer Götter und tilget aus ihren Namen von demselben Ort. 4 Ihr sollt nicht also tun dem HERRN, eurem Gott; 5 sondern an dem Ort, den der HERR, euer Gott, aus allen euren Stämmen erwählen wird, um seinen Namen daselbst wohnen zu lassen, sollt ihr ihn suchen, und dahin sollst du kommen. 6 Dahin bringt eure Brandopfer und eure Schlachtopfer, eure Zehnten und eurer Hände Hebopfer, eure Gelübde und eure freiwilligen Opfer und die Erstgeburt von euren Rindern und Schafen. 7 Und daselbst sollt ihr vor dem HERRN, eurem Gott, essen und fröhlich sein, ihr und eure Familien, über allem, was ihr mit euren Händen erarbeitet habt, womit der HERR, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat. 8 Ihr sollt nicht also tun, wie wir heute hier tun, ein jeder, was ihn recht dünkt. 9 Denn ihr seid bisher noch nicht zur Ruhe gekommen, noch zu dem Erbteil, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir geben wird. 10 Ihr werdet aber über den Jordan gehen und im Lande wohnen, das euch der HERR, euer Gott, zum Erbe geben wird, und er wird euch Ruhe schaffen vor allen euren Feinden ringsum, und ihr sollt sicher wohnen. 11 Wenn nun der HERR, euer Gott, einen Ort erwählt, daß sein Name daselbst wohne, so sollt ihr dorthin bringen alles, was ich euch gebiete: eure Brandopfer und eure Schlachtopfer, eure Zehnten, eurer Hände Hebopfer und alle eure auserlesenen Gelübde, die ihr dem HERRN geloben werdet, 12 und ihr sollt fröhlich sein vor dem HERRN, eurem Gott, ihr und eure Söhne und eure Töchter, eure Knechte und Mägde, auch die Leviten, die in euren Toren sind; denn sie haben keinen Teil noch Erbe mit euch. 13 Hüte dich, daß du deine Brandopfer nicht an einem [beliebigen] Orte opferst, den du sehen wirst; 14 sondern an dem Ort, den der HERR in einem deiner Stämme erwählt, da sollst du deine Brandopfer opfern, und daselbst sollst du alles tun, was ich dir gebiete. 15 Doch magst du schlachten und Fleisch essen in allen deinen Toren, nach aller Lust deiner Seele, nach dem Segen des HERRN, deines Gottes, den er dir gegeben hat; Unreine und Reine mögen davon essen, wie von der Gazelle oder dem Hirsch. 16 Nur das Blut sollst du nicht essen, sondern es auf die Erde gießen wie Wasser. 17 Du darfst aber nicht in deinen Toren essen von den Zehnten deines Korns, deines Mosts und deines Öls, noch von der Erstgeburt deiner Rinder und deiner Schafe, noch von irgend einem deiner Gelübde, die du gelobt hast, noch von deinem freiwilligen Opfer, noch von dem Hebopfer deiner Hand; 18 sondern vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, sollst du solches essen, an dem Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählt hat, du und dein Sohn und deine Tochter und dein Knecht und deine Magd und der Levit, der in deinen Toren ist, und sollst fröhlich sein vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, über alles, was du dir mit deiner Hand erarbeitet hast. 19 Und hüte dich, den Leviten zu verlassen, solange du in deinem Lande lebst. 20 Wenn aber der HERR, dein Gott, deine Landmarken erweitern wird, wie er dir versprochen hat, und du sprichst: Ich will Fleisch essen! weil deine Seele gelüstet, Fleisch zu essen, so iß Fleisch nach aller Lust deiner Seele. 21 Ist aber der Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählt hat, daß er seinen Namen dorthin setze, zu ferne von dir, so schlachte von deinen Rindern oder von deinen Schafen, die der HERR dir gegeben hat (wie ich dir geboten habe) und iß es in deinen Toren nach aller Lust deiner Seele. 22 Wie man die Gazelle oder den Hirsch ißt, magst du es essen; Reine und Unreine dürfen es essen. 23 Nur daran halte fest, daß du nicht das Blut essest; denn das Blut ist die Seele; und du sollst die Seele nicht mit dem Fleisch essen. 24 So sollst du es nun nicht essen; sondern auf die Erde sollst du es gießen wie Wasser. 25 Du sollst es nicht essen, auf daß es dir und deinen Kindern nach dir wohl gehe, wenn du tun wirst, was in den Augen des HERRN recht ist. 26 Wenn du aber etwas heiligst oder gelobst, was dein ist, so sollst du es nehmen und an den Ort bringen, den der HERR erwählt hat. 27 Und du sollst deine Brandopfer mit Fleisch und Blut auf dem Altar des HERRN, deines Gottes, darbringen. Das Blut deiner Schlachtopfer sollst du auf den Altar des HERRN, deines Gottes, gießen, das Fleisch aber sollst du essen. 28 Behalte und befolge alle diese Worte, die ich dir gebiete, damit es dir und deinen Kindern nach dir wohl gehe ewiglich, wenn du tun wirst, was vor den Augen des HERRN, deines Gottes, recht und gefällig ist. 29 Wenn der HERR, dein Gott, die Heiden vor dir her ausrottet, da, wo du hinkommst sie zu beerben, und wenn du sie beerbt hast und in ihrem Lande wohnst, 30 so hüte dich davor, verstrickt zu werden dadurch, daß du sie nachahmst, da sie doch vor dir her vertilgt worden sind, und ihren Göttern nachzufragen und zu sprechen: Wie dienten diese Heiden ihren Göttern? Ich will auch also tun! 31 Du sollst nicht also tun dem HERRN, deinem Gott, denn alles, was ein Greuel ist für den HERRN und was er haßt, haben sie ihren Göttern getan; ja, sogar ihre Söhne und ihre Töchter haben sie ihren Göttern mit Feuer verbrannt! 32 Alles, was ich euch gebiete, das sollt ihr beobachten, es zu tun; ihr sollt nichts dazutun und nichts davontun.

4 Aua e pēnā ki a Ihowā, ki tō koutou Atua. 5 Engari, me whai ki tōna nohoanga, ki te wāhi e whiriwhiri ai a Ihowā, tō koutou Atua, i roto i ō koutou iwi katoa, kia waiho tōna ingoa ki reira, me haere hoki koe ki reira. 6 Ā, me kawe e koutou ki reira ā koutou tahunga tinana, ā koutou patunga tapu, ā koutou whakatekau ngā whakahere e hapahapainga ana e ō koutou ringa, ā koutou kī taurangi, ā koutou whakahere tuku noa, me ngā whānau mātāmua o ā koutou kau, o ā koutou hipi. 7 Ā, ko reira koutou kai ai, ko te aroaro o Ihowā, o tō koutou Atua, ā, ka koa koutou ki ngā mea katoa e whātoro atu ai ō koutou ringa, koutou me ō koutou whare, ki ngā manaaki a Ihowā, a tōu Atua, i a koe.

26 Ko āu mea tapu ia, i a koe nā, me āu kī taurangi, me tango e koe, ka haere ki te wāhi e whiriwhiri ai a Ihowā. 27 Nā, ka tuku mai koe i āu tahunga tinana, i te kikokiko me te toto, ki runga ki te āta a Ihowā, a tōu Atua. Nā, ko te toto o āu patunga tapu me riringi ki runga ki te āta a Ihowā, a tōu Atua, ko te kikokiko ia me kai e koe.
