A glória de Deus é manifestada na criação e conservação de todas as coisas

1 *Sl 103.22Bendize, minha alma, a Jeová.

Ó Jeová, Deus meu, tu és mui grande;

*Sl 93.1estás vestido de honra e de majestade,

2 tu que te cobres *Dn 7.9de luz como dum manto,

*Is 40.22que estendes o céu como uma cortina,

3 és quem *Am 9.6põe nas águas as vigas das suas câmaras,

quem faz *Is 19.1das nuvens o seu carro,

quem anda *Sl 18.10sobre as asas do vento,

4 quem faz dos seus mensageiros *Sl 148.8;Hb 1.7ventos,

dos seus ministros, *2Rs 2.11;6.17fogo chamejante;

5 quem *Sl 24.2;Jó 38.4lançou os fundamentos da terra,

para que não fosse abalada para sempre.

6 *Gn 1.2Cobriste-a dum abismo como duma vestidura;

as águas ficaram acima das montanhas.

7 À tua *Sl 18.15;106.9;Is 50.2repreensão, fugiram;

à *Sl 29.3;77.18voz do teu trovão, puseram-se em retirada

8 (Elevaram-se as montanhas, desceram os vales.),

para o *Sl 33.7lugar que lhes tinha preparado.

9 Puseste-lhes *Jó 38.10-11;Jr 5.22barreiras, para que não ultrapassem,

para que não tornem a cobrir a terra.

10 Tu és quem faz sair *Sl 107.35;Is 41.18fontes no vale;

elas correm entre os montes;

11 *Sl 104.13dão de beber a todos os animais do campo;

*Jó 39.5os asnos monteses matam a sua sede.

12 Junto delas, as aves do céu *Mt 8.20têm o seu pouso,

dentre a ramagem fazem ouvir o seu canto.

13 Ele, das suas câmaras, *Sl 65.9;147.8rega os montes;

a terra se farta dos frutos das suas obras.

14 Faz crescer *Sl 147.8;Jó 38.27a relva para o gado

*Gn 1.29e a erva para corresponder ao trabalho do homem,

para fazer sair alimento *Jó 28.5do seio da terra,

15 o *Jz 9.13;Pv 31.6;Ec 10.19vinho que alegra o coração do homem,

o *Sl 23.5;92.10;141.5;Lc 7.46azeite que faz reluzir o seu rosto,

e o pão *Gn 18.5;Jz 19.5,8que fortalece o coração do homem.

16 São saciadas as árvores de Jeová,

os cedros do Líbano que ele plantou,

17 nos quais fazem ninhos *Sl 104.12as aves.

Quanto à *Lv 11.19cegonha, a sua morada está nos ciprestes.

18 Para as *Jó 39.1cabras monteses são as altas montanhas;

*Pv 20.26os penhascos são refúgios para os *Lv 11.5querogrilos.

19 Ele fez a lua *Gn 1.14para marcar as estações;

*Sl 19.6o sol conhece o seu ocaso.

20 *Sl 74.16;Is 45.7Tu fazes as trevas, e vem a noite,

na qual saem *Sl 50.10;Is 56.9;Mq 5.8todos os animais da selva.

21 *Jó 38.39Os leões novos rugem em busca da presa

e *Sl 145.15;Jl 1.20pedem a Deus de comer.

22 Mal nasce o sol, recolhem-se

e vão deitar-se nos seus *Jó 37.8covis.

23 O homem sai *Gn 3.19para o seu trabalho

e para a sua ocupação, até à tarde.

24 Quão *Sl 40.5numerosas são as tuas obras, Jeová!

Todas elas as fizeste *Sl 136.5;Pv 3.19;Jr 10.12;51.15com sabedoria.

Cheia está *Sl 65.9a terra das tuas riquezas.

25 Eis ali o *Sl 8.8;69.34mar grande e vasto,

no qual se movem inumeráveis seres,

animais, tanto pequenos como grandes.

26 Ali, andam os *Sl 107.23;Ez 27.9navios;

ali, está *Sl 74.14;Jó 41.1leviatã, que formaste para nele folgar.

27 Todos estes *Sl 145.15esperam de ti

que lhes *Sl 136.25;147.9;Jó 36.31;38.41dês de comer, a tempo.

28 Tu lhes distribuis, e eles apanham;

*Sl 145.16abres a mão, eles são saciados de bens.

29 *Sl 30.7;Dt 31.17Escondes o teu rosto, e eles ficam perturbados;

*Sl 146.4;Jó 34.14;Ec 12.7tira-lhes o fôlego, eles morrem,

30 Envias o teu *Jó 33.4;Ez 37.9Espírito, e eles são criados;

e renovas a face da terra.

31 Permaneça para sempre a *Sl 86.12;111.10glória de Jeová;

*Gn 1.31regozije-se Jeová nas suas obras.

32 *Sl 97.4-5;114.7;Jz 5.5Ele olha para a terra, e ela estremece;

*Sl 144.5;Êx 19.18toca as montanhas, e elas fumegam.

33 Cantarei a Jeová, *Sl 63.4enquanto eu viver;

cantarei *Sl 146.2louvores ao meu Deus, enquanto eu subsistir.

34 Seja-lhe agradável *Sl 19.14a minha meditação;

eu me *Sl 9.2regozijarei em Jeová.

35 Sejam da terra *Sl 59.13extirpados os pecadores,

e não subsistam mais *Sl 37.10os perversos.

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

16 The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;

17 Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

18 The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.

19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

20 Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.*104.20 beasts…: Heb. beasts thereof do trample on the forest

21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.

22 The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

23 Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

26 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.*104.26 made: Heb. formed

27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

28 That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

31 The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.*104.31 endure: Heb. be

32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

33 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
