Uma oração vespertina para santificação e proteção

Salmo de Davi

1 Jeová, tenho *Sl 22.19;38.22;70.5clamado a ti; dá-te pressa em me acudir;

*Sl 5.1;143.1dá ouvidos à minha voz, quando a ti clamo.

2 Apresente-se a minha oração *Êx 30.8;Lc 1.10;Ap 5.8;8.3-4como incenso diante de ti,

o erguer das minhas mãos, como *Êx 29.41;1Rs 18.29,36;Dn 9.21a oblação da tarde.

3 Põe *Sl 34.13;39.1;Pv 13.3;21.23vigia, Jeová, à minha boca,

guarda as *Mq 7.5portas dos meus lábios.

4 Não *Sl 119.36inclines o meu coração para o mal,

juntamente com homens que *Is 32.6;Os 6.8;Ml 3.15obram iniquidade;

e não *Pv 23.6coma eu das suas gulodices.

5 Fira-me *Pv 9.8;19.25;25.12;27.6;Ec 7.5;Gl 6.1o justo, e isso será uma mercê;

repreenda-me, e isso será como *Sl 23.5;133.2óleo sobre a minha cabeça;

não o recuse à minha cabeça,

mas *Sl 35.14continue ainda a minha oração contra a perversidade deles.

6 Quando os seus juízes forem *2Cr 25.12precipitados duma penha abaixo,

ouvirão eles as minhas palavras, que são suaves

7 Como quando se *Sl 129.3lavra e sulca a terra,

são *Sl 53.5espalhados os nossos ossos à *Sl 88.3-5;Nm 16.32-33entrada da sepultura.

8 Pois em ti, Senhor Jeová, estão fitos *Sl 25.15;123.2os meus olhos;

em ti *Sl 2.12;11.1busco refúgio; não *Sl 27.9derrames a minha vida.

9 Guarda-me do *Sl 38.12;64.5;91.3laço que eles me armaram

e das *Sl 140.5armadilhas dos que obram iniquidade.

10 *Sl 7.15;57.6Caiam os perversos nas suas próprias redes,

enquanto que eu, ao mesmo tempo, *Sl 124.7escape incólume.

1 LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
