1 Recomendo-vos a nossa irmã Febe, que está no serviço da igreja em Cencréia,2 para que no Senhor a recebais dum modo digno dos santos, e a ajudeis em qualquer coisa que de vós precisar; porque ela tem sido protetora de muitos, e de mim em particular.3 Saudai a Priscila e Áqüila, meus cooperadores em Cristo Jesus,4 os quais pela minha vida expuseram as suas cabeças, e isto não lhes agradeço eu só, mas também todas as igrejas dos gentios;5 e saudai a igreja que se reúne na casa deles. Saudai à estimada Pérside, que muito trabalhou no Senhor.13 Saudai a Rufo, escolhido no Senhor, e a sua mãe e minha.14 Saudai a Asíncrito, a Flegonte, a Hermes, a Pátrobas, a Hermas e aos irmãos que estão com eles.15 Saudai a Filólogo, a Júlia, a Nereu e a sua irmã, a Olimpas e a todos os santos que estão com eles.16 Saudai-vos uns aos outros com ósculo santo. Todas as igrejas de Cristo vos saúdam.17 Agora rogo-vos, irmãos, que noteis bem aqueles que causam as dissensões e os escândalos contra a doutrina que aprendestes, e apartai-vos deles;18 porque esses tais não servem a Cristo nosso Senhor, mas ao seu ventre; e com palavras doces e lisonjas enganam os corações dos inocentes.19 Pois a vossa obediência é conhecida por todos; alegro-me, pois, em vós; mas quero que sejais sábios para o bem, e simples para o mal.20 O Deus de paz em breve esmagará a Satanás debaixo dos vossos pés. The congregations of Christ greet you.17 Now I beseech you, brothers, mark those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine you have learned and avoid them.18 They do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the unaware.19 Your obedience has come to our attention abroad. I am glad therefore on your behalf. Yet I would have you wise to that which is good and simple concerning evil.20 The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
