Apocalipse 22

1 He showed me a*22:1 TR adds "pure" river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 in the middle of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.

6 He said to me, "These words are faithful and true. The Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to show to his bondservants the things which must happen soon."

7 "Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

8 Now I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who had shown me these things. 9 He said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers, the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God." 10 He said to me, "Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. 11 He who acts unjustly, let him act unjustly still. He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. He who is righteous, let him do righteousness still. He who is holy, let him be holy still."

12 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. 14 Blessed are those who do his commandments,*22:14 NU reads "wash their robes" instead of "do his commandments". that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star."

17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" He who hears, let him say, "Come!" He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.

18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book. 19 If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree*22:19 TR reads "Book" instead of "tree" of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book. 20 He who testifies these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon."

Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus!

21 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.

3 *Sak 14:11. Och ingen förbannelse ska finnas mer. Guds och Lammets tron ska stå i staden, och hans tjänare ska tjäna honom. 4 *Ps 17:15, Matt 5:8, Upp 3:12. De ska se hans ansikte och bära hans namn på sina pannor. 5 *Jes 60:19f, Dan 7:27, Upp 21:23. Ingen natt ska finnas mer, och de behöver inte lampors sken eller solens ljus, för Herren Gud ska lysa över dem. Och de ska regera som kungar i evigheters evighet.

6 *Upp 1:1, 19:9, 21:5. Och han sade till mig: "Dessa ord är trovärdiga och sanna. Herren, profeternas andars Gud, har sänt sin ängel för att visa sina tjänare vad som snart måste ske."

Jag kommer snart

7 *Upp 1:3, 3:11. "Och se, jag kommer snart. Salig är den som håller fast vid profetians ord i denna bok."

8 *Upp 19:10. Jag, Johannes, är den som har hört och sett detta. Och när jag hade hört och sett det, föll jag ner för att tillbe framför fötterna på ängeln som hade visat detta för mig. 9 Men han sade till mig: "Gör inte så! Jag är bara en medtjänare till dig och dina bröder profeterna och till dem som håller fast vid orden i denna bok. Gud ska du tillbe."

10 *Dan 8:26, Upp 1:3. Och han sade till mig: "Försegla inte profetians ord i denna bok, för tiden är nära. 11 *Dan 12:10. Den orättfärdige ska fortsätta göra orätt och den orene fortsätta orena sig, och den rättfärdige ska fortsätta göra det rätta och den helige fortsätta helga sig."

12 *Jes 40:10, Matt 16:27, Upp 3:11. "Se, jag kommer snart, och jag har min lön med mig för att ge åt var och en efter hans gärningar. 13 *Jes 48:12, Upp 1:8. Jag är A och O, den förste och den siste, begynnelsen och änden. 14 *Upp 7:14. Saliga är de som tvättar sina kläder så att de får rätt till livets träd och får komma in genom portarna till staden. 15 *1 Kor 6:9f, Upp 21:8, 27. Men utanför är hundarna och ockultisterna, de sexuellt omoraliska och mördarna, avgudadyrkarna och alla som älskar lögnen och ägnar sig åt den.

16 *4 Mos 24:17, Jes 11:1, Upp 5:5. Jag, Jesus, har sänt min ängel för att vittna om allt detta för er i församlingarna. Jag är Davids rotskott och ättling, den klara morgonstjärnan."

17 *Jes 55:1, Upp 21:6. Och Anden och bruden säger: "Kom!" Och den som hör det ska säga: "Kom!" Och den som törstar ska komma, och den som vill ska fritt få ta emot livets vatten.

18 *5 Mos 4:2, 12:32, Ords 30:6. För alla som hör profetians ord i denna bok betygar jag: Om någon lägger något till dessa ord, ska Gud lägga på honom de plågor som beskrivs i denna bok. 19 Och om någon tar bort något från orden i denna profetias bok, ska Gud ta ifrån honom hans del i livets träd och i den heliga staden som beskrivs i denna bok. 20 *1 Kor 16:22, Upp 1:7. Han som betygar detta säger: "Ja, jag kommer snart." Amen, kom Herre Jesus!
