Mateus 28

1 Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 For fear of him, the guards shook, and became like dead men. 5 The angel answered the women, "Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying. 7 Go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you."

8 They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word. 9 As they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!"

They came and took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.

10 Then Jesus said to them, "Don’t be afraid. Go tell my brothers *28:10 The word for "brothers" here may be also correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings." that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see me."

11 Now while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and told the chief priests all the things that had happened. 12 When they were assembled with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers, 13 saying, "Say that his disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept. 14 If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry." 15 So they took the money and did as they were told. This saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continues until today.

16 But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had sent them. 17 When they saw him, they bowed down to him; but some doubted. 18 Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go*28:19 TR and NU add "therefore" and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Jesus uppstår ur graven

1 *Mark 16:1f, Luk 24:1f, Joh 20:1f. Efter sabbaten, i gryningen den första veckodagen*28:1den första veckodagenDet vanliga namnet på söndagen i judisk tideräkning., gick Maria Magdalena och den andra Maria för att se på graven.

2 Då blev det en kraftig jordbävning, för en Herrens ängel kom ner från himlen. Han gick fram och rullade bort stenen och satte sig på den. 3 Hans gestalt var som blixten, och hans kläder var vita som snö. 4 Vakterna skakade av skräck för honom och blev som döda.

5 *Mark 16:6f, Luk 24:5f. Men ängeln sade till kvinnorna: "Var inte rädda! Jag vet att ni söker Jesus, den korsfäste. 6 *Matt 12:40, 16:21, 17:23, 20:19. Han är inte här, han har uppstått som han har sagt! Kom och se platsen där han låg. 7 *Matt 26:32. Och gå genast och säg till hans lärjungar att han har uppstått från de döda. Se, han går före er till Galileen. Där ska ni få se honom. Nu har jag sagt er det."

8 De skyndade då genast i väg från graven. Med bävan och stor glädje sprang de för att berätta det för hans lärjungar.

9 *Mark 16:9f. Plötsligt mötte Jesus dem och hälsade dem*28:9hälsade demOrdagrant: "sade: Gläd er!" (den vanliga hälsningen på grekiska, jfr Luk 1:28).. De kom fram och höll om hans fötter och tillbad honom. 10 *Joh 20:17, Apg 1:3, 13:31, 1 Kor 15:4f, Hebr 2:11. Då sade Jesus till dem: "Var inte rädda! Gå och säg till mina bröder att de ska gå till Galileen. Där ska de få se mig."

Vaktstyrkans rapport

11 Medan de var på väg, kom några ur vaktstyrkan in i staden och berättade för översteprästerna om allt som hade hänt. 12 *Matt 27:64f. Dessa samlades med de äldste och beslöt att ge soldaterna en stor summa pengar 13 och sade: "Säg så här: Hans lärjungar kom på natten och rövade bort honom medan vi sov. 14 Och om ståthållaren får höra det, så ska vi tala med honom och se till att ni inte behöver oroa er." 15 De tog emot pengarna och gjorde som de blivit tillsagda, och detta rykte är spritt bland judarna än i dag.

Jesu missionsbefallning

16 De elva lärjungarna gick till Galileen*28:16till GalileenJesus visade sig flera gånger för lärjungarna i Galileen (Joh 21, 1 Kor 15:6-7), men lät dem sedan återvända till Olivberget utanför Jerusalem där han återvände till himlen (Luk 24:50f, Apg 1:6f)., till det berg dit Jesus hade befallt dem att gå. 17 När de fick se honom tillbad de honom, men några tvivlade*28:17tvivladeAnnan översättning: "tvekade"..

18 *Matt 11:27, Joh 3:35, 17:2, Ef 1:20f, Hebr 1:2f, 2:8. Då trädde Jesus fram och talade till dem och sade: "Åt mig har getts all makt i himlen och på jorden.  19 Gå därför ut och gör alla folk till lärjungar! Döp dem i Faderns och Sonens och den helige Andes namn 20 *Matt 18:20, Joh 14:18, 23. och lär dem att hålla*28:20hållaAnnan översättning: "hålla fast vid", "bevara". allt som jag befallt er. Och se, jag är med er alla dagar till tidens slut."
