1 Até quando te esquecerás de mim, SENHOR? Para sempre? Até quando esconderás de mim o teu rosto?

2 Até quando consultarei com a minha alma, tendo tristeza no meu coração cada dia? Até quando se exaltará sobre mim o meu inimigo?

3 Atende-me, ouve-me, ó Senhor meu Deus; ilumina os meus olhos para que eu não adormeça na morte;

4 Para que o meu inimigo não diga: Prevaleci contra ele; e os meus adversários não se alegrem, vindo eu a vacilar.

5 Mas eu confio na tua benignidade; na tua salvação se alegrará o meu coração.

6 Cantarei ao Senhor, porquanto me tem feito muito bem.

1 How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever?

How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul,

Having sorrow in my heart all the day?

How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and answer me, O Jehovah my God:

Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him;

Lest mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

5 But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness;

My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

6 I will sing unto Jehovah,

Because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
